  I took my car for wheel alignments at Budget Brakes on Charlotte Avenue in Nashville, I left my car for them to work on and went back the following day to pick it up. After I got the car I noticed the problem had not been fixed, the wheels were not aligned. I tried to drive for a day or two but the problem had become worse so I called them and they said I should bring it back. The manager drives the car upon my arrival and noticed what I had complained about , he offered to do it again but I had to be somewhere, so I said I would be back the next day. As I pulled out of their lot, less than a mile away, the lateral arm which had a screw which they used to fix the alignment broke in two, I drove back with the part dragging on the ground. When I got there they said I needed to buy the part and that it wasn’t their fault, I left the car overnight and got the part for $160 the next day. They refused to install the part saying I got it myself, I drove the car to a nearby garage to get it fixed for $150 and it was confirmed they had caused the problem. I took it back for the alignment again, right after they finished, my traction control lights came on, I turned back to complain and they got in and cleared the lights saying the problem was fixed. I got in and less than .1 miles away the lights came on again, this time I was done with them. I went back to show them but I was no longer willing to let them touch my car, they said the lights came on because my wheels were not aligned but are now aligned. Really???

  I took my truck to budget brakes and was told I needed all new rotors and brakes. Cost $1200. Twice as much as anyone else but I liked the guy (Ricky) who seemed knowledgeable and pleasant and it was more convenient. 10 months later my truck vibrates when applying the brake. I bring truck to same location to be told he's too busy...it's still under warranty so just come back another time. Now I'm told that the warranty is only for 12,000 miles (Ricky is no longer employed there) and I'll need to pay for new rotors if they are warped (which my regular mechanic suggested that's the problem). It's been a year this month since they did the work and the rotors should not be warped. My guess is they are using very cheap parts and now I'll need to pay someone else to do the work. Budget brakes is a scam!!!! Do not fall for the "lifetime pad replacement " like I did. Parts they use are inferior and I was lied to about the rotor warranty so now it's out of warranty. I saw similar issues in other complaints so it's not a one time occurrence.
