I took out a loan with this company to help with a car repair. Once I realized that I was going to be unable to make the first payment I immediately reached to find a solution to no avail. Due to the fees associated with the loan Ive fallen severely behind despite my many attempts to reach some form of settlement. Advance Financial is an authorized servicer of the lender, CC Flow, a division of Capital
************** (******). ****** is a Utah state-chartered bank with the **** as its
primary federal banking regulator. CC Flows line of credit product is an open-end credit
product, which means that repayment of the total balance on the account will fluctuate based on
a customers individual use. As an open-end credit product, this is not a fixed term loan;
traditional interest does not accrue, and scheduled payment amounts will vary depending on the
amount of principal outstanding on the account during a given billing cycle.
Given the nature of the consumers allegations, please be advised privacy regulations prohibit us
from disclosing confidential consumer information to third parties without a specific, written
authorization. We do not have a signed authorization from the consumer who filed this
complaint and therefore are unable to respond directly to BBB regarding her concerns.
Nevertheless, it is our usual practice to reach out to the consumer at issue in an effort to resolve

I am rejecting this response because:As of today since the filing of the complaint, I have yet to hear back from a representative to resolve this matter. One individual contacted me to notify me that they received my phone request and to date they have not followed back up with me regarding my account. It appears this company is intentionally not making contact to further report damaging information to the credit bureaus despite every effort made on my part to remedy this issue.

I just wanted to offer a follow up to this complaint. As of today, December 13, 2024, I have been passed around from representative to representative in search of *** ***** who instructed the representatives to transfer the call to her should I call in. The handling of this account and the lack of support in reaching a resolution is profoundly disappointing. This experience has been frustrating and unacceptable, especially considering the standards of services one would expect from the company. I just bought a house. When my lender pulled my credit, there was a collection for over 6k on my credit by "Plaza services" original creditor "Advance Financial". I have not applied for any type in years. I tried calling them to ask why this was, Plaza hung up on me. I don't really know what kind of loan it is, I think it's a payday loan. I'm 100% disabled veteran and recently found out my information was listed on the dark Internet multiple times. I filed a *** report as well, this is horrifying a company claims I have a loan with them without verifying it was me. It indicated it was opened in December of 2023. I receive full disability from the ** and work full time with a combined income over 170k, my bills total less than 2k monthly. Explain why I would need this? There's also a second "payday" loan handled by Plaza who also hung up on me. This "advanced financial" needs to get their act together and check the dark Internet, maybe see a person before saying they have a loan. This ONLY showed on my reports when I applied for the mortgage. I am in the process of filing a lawsuit now against Plaza and Advanced financial. I'm addition, I have a "verify identity" before extending credit by telephone on every credit report.Business Response

I replied i was not satisfied with their response. I called them the times to let them know someone stole my identity and took out "payday" loans. Every time, I was met with yelling and disparaging remarks. I am a 100% disabled veteran who will not sacrifice my integrity by responding in kind. Somehow, I feel as if someone at that business maybe responsible. I called about 1 from Feb 2022 a few months ago, mysteriously another payday loan was taken out on September 2024, immediately after I called about the first one.

Last week, I contacted Advance Financial because I was having issues keeping up with their outrageous payments. I reached out via email and they advised that I needed to instead call them - which I get, because most of the sensitive information they'd need isn't very secure on an email...however, because of my work hours, I am almost never available when their phone call center is open. I communicated this to them, and was still told I needed to call. Nevertheless, I deprived myself of much needed sleep to be able to call them - made several attempts over 2 days at both the ***** left on the voicemail AND the number on their website. When I call either #, I get a prompt that says "Please hold while we look up your phone number" - then, for about 3 to 5 minutes I'm on hold, then someone picks up and immediately hangs up the call. What's more, is I specifically did not enroll my account in their "Convenience Pay" feature because I like making my payments by debit card. Imagine my surprise when somehow they managed to autodebit my account anyway for the $393.41 that they were told wouldn't be in my account. I attempted 5x to contact them again yesterday to the same result as stated above - as I have been unable to reach them by phone like I was instructed to do, I have since initiated a dispute thru my bank for the last payment of $393.41 and had them issue a stop payment to keep them from debiting my account further until a settlement or arrangement or something is made and alternate payment arrangements go with it. I don't know why I ever thought having this LOC was a good idea - it seems nice up front when you need it, but then when you attempt to pay it back it's a nightmare because of the exorbitant fees they charge. Soon as I get this settled I'll never mess with these types of LOCs again.Business Response

The Company is in receipt of this complaint and has reviewed the account. The first payment due for $24.19 was for a two day billing cycle in order to get the payments set up on payday. The net billing cycle was for 14 (fourteen) days,thus the payment increased. Please read the terms and conditions of the Agreement. There are many other ways to communicate with our staff aside from calling. After reviewing the account, I see that emails have been received however, correct personal verification was not completed on your behalf. In February of 2024, I filed a complaint about Advance Financial / af247 about it being a predatory loan and gave some detail. This company then reached out to me and offered me an agreement for me to pay $351.23 a month for 9 months and they would then close the account as long as i came back onto BBB and updated the review to 'them helping me out'. I advised that i would do so once the 9 payments were made to make sure they held up their end of the bargain. Yesterday i made the final payment. I was never late, not once. This morning I woke up to them take 2 additional amounts out of my checking account. $351.23+$537.41+$383.27=$1271.91 was taken out of my account instead of just $351.23. I immediately called them and the *** said that she could see the error and would email the person that could fix it and ask for it to be escalated to be fixed immediately. I asked if i could talk to the person she was emailing and she declined and snapped at me and said "I'm doing all i can do!". 2 hours later and the money is still not in my account and my mortgage is at risk of being returned. I am telling anyone that can read this and is considering using this place to NEVER use it. They are absolutely predatory! they will not hold up their end of any bargain they make and when i asked if they would refund my fees incurred by their mistake they said no. I know using a loan company like this that says yes when you are in need is an answer to a prayer in that moment but i'm telling you that you will regret it. do not under any circumstances use this company for a loan. I am rejecting this response because: AF247 did not refund the money on 10/31, they actually voided the payment on their end and it took it until 11/5 and a complaint to my bank for the funds release on my end. This caused a domino effect of overdrafts and fees that AF247 refused to pay even though it was their error. They did finally clear the online account showing my account gone but not until 11/6. I no longer want anything from this company. Ill just consider it a painful and expensive ****** learned.

I have been paying a loan off with this business. The daily interest I incur is $.77 per $100.00 this is what I was told by them. Now that is at *****%. However the total amount of interest is not paid off every month because I am charged a customary fee. Every month. Out of a $753.35 $83.23 was put towards principal $57.44 went to interest the customary fee was $612.68. Now on my loan every month they put a portion towards principal and a portion towards interest. So my interest continues to rise every month without being paid off. Then they charge the customary fee every month. This practice cant be legal. I was told its a finance charge every month. That every person that gets alone through them is charged this fee. So far I have paid $6038.58 in fees to advance financial. And only been charged ****** of interest. Make that make sense.Business Response

I received a loan from Advance Financial Services and never signed a contract or received a copy of the contract. I am receiving cancer treatment and could not afford the payments they wanted me to make, so I called them and tried to make arrangements to get this paid off. I have been paying every month and they would take out whenever, whatever they wanted after I had already made a payment. I believe the amount of interest they are charging is not legal in the state of *******. I have tried several times calling and emailing trying to get some sort of payment arrangement set up and have the interest charges stopped. I am rejecting this response because: no one has reached out to me regarding this situation as they state. I am not satisfied with any resolution they say we agreed upon. I may have to obtain an attorney if they cannot come up with some sort of agreement and quit lying to me and other consumers. I have asked for a copy of the contract, and they keep telling me they will send to me, and I have as yet to receive anything. What kind of business is this? You cannot legally charge people the rate of interest you are charging them. I'm sure you have other cases against you for illegal actions. I will be waiting for a fair and legal response from you.
