I would rate zero if I could. My husband had a life insurance policy that was transferred to me in 2008. All of a sudden they have changed my annual payment of $200.00 to $57.44 a month. No notice, no explanation and when I call they tell me insurance is more expensive now. Thinking of turning it over to the States Attorney General. Shady work practices to say the least. I believe they are trying to get people to give up their policies instead of dealing with them anymore because it's costing them more.

If they had negative stars I would be selecting that. These guys would give cell phone companies a run for their money for the worst customer service. I have had a term policy with them since 2005. Making changes is all but impossible and takes multiple tries to get anything changed. Plus to make it even worse their policy website is of no value at all. If you're considering life insurance there has to be alternatives out there!

I agree with all of the reviews. I have my statement in front of me, clearly stating that the payment is not due until 8/1/24, but today's date is 7/25/24. My policy was originally with ******** ****, which was taken over by Talcott/Prudential, which has to be the MOST AWFUL INSURANCE I HAVE EVER DEALTH WITH. My statement says $906.25 is due as a quarterly payment by 8/1/24, but today they tell me that I owe $1012.15. WORD TO THE WISE: FILE YOUR COMPLAINT WITH THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION, WHICH WILL LOOK FOR A PATTERN, AND WILL PROCEED WITH INVESTIGATION AND HOPEFULLY PROSECUTION WHEN THE COMPLAINTS BEGIN TO RACK UP

This company has the most inflexible and inefficient customer service I have ever encountered. I reported my husband's death from Alzheimers and was told I would receive a packet to complete and return to claim the life insurance. I recieved the packet 17 days later. I completed the packet and sent it with an official death certificate, as instructed, back to Tallcott. I called customer service to verify the address. The address included with the packet was incorrect. If I had used it, the packet would not have been delivered. I sent the packet at the post office by priority mail. After I got home, I realized I had left out some pages. Grief makes it difficult to function at times. I called customer service and after a lengthy phone call with intermittent holds, I was told I could not send the remaining pages but would have to wait from another packet that would take 7 to 20 days. I asked where the packet would be mailed from and I was told Clinton, Iowa. Iowa to Connecticut, 20 days? I then asked if the new packet could be faxed to *** and I could pick it up and fax it back. I was told yes, this could be done because I already sent the official death certificate. I gave the customer service agent the local *** fax number. He then told me it would take 24 to 48 hours to fax the packet to *** because it needed approval first. (Why would approval take 24 to 48 hrs?) The customer service agent is in the Phillipines. I was able to confirm this. This outsourcing makes life insurance claims cumbersome. The customer service agent is also sending a new packet as well as faxing one. My husband and I bought this policy in the 70's and paid our premiums. Can anything be done to get this company to shape up or are we powerless?

This has got to be the worst company ever to do business with. They will not help you with anything over the phone.that tell you to fill out forms one way, then you do that and they send you another letter telling you to fill it out a different way every time you fill it out it’s always a different way

I AGREED TO A 4 TIMES PREMIUM A YEar contract. They deem me late by 2 days. I paid them the original premium then they included another premium of 1. 5 times along with the original amounts That payment is a contract. I never agreed to 5 times. This is breaking the original contract. Anyone for a class action suit?
