Complaint Type:: Sales and Advertising Issues

The business addressed the issues within the complaint, but the consumer either a) did not accept the response, OR b) did not notify BBB as to their satisfaction.

Over the past few months we have received several phone calls from this business. This is generally how the phone calls go. After we answer the phone, they ask for Donna (our business owner). Per our policy we do not transfer calls to her unless we know what it is about. We dont need a lot of detail, we just like to filter out scammers and not waste our owners time. Also, i will type out how the call today (7/21/2021) went. We ask what the call is in regards to. This is their answer "this is about the business". So i asked what about the business as that is a very broad statement and frequented by scammers. All they said is that they "want to talk to the business owner about the business. They then press me and ask if i am the business owner, which i am not. i try to ask other clarifying questions to see why they are calling and they refuse to answer any of them. They eventually just hang up on us.

We have received frequent and repeated call where the agent rudely demands to speak to ownership and refuses to provide a reason. I have now on multiple occasion requested that that stop calling and remove our numbers from their lists. At this point the calls are harassment. Their conduct is obviously unacceptable.

It is not IAG M&A Advisors policy to ever call a business owner repeatedly. It is a confidential call to business owners only to ask if they have a motivation to sell their business in the next couple of years. We have been researching to determine what phone number was called with no success. If we could be given the phone number we allegedly called more than one time. We would be able to determine who the employee was and discipline per our company policy and also make sure all numbers related to this business is put in our do not call.
