      I was in a motor vehicle accident on May 16, 2023 in *******, *****. I went to the emergency after I obtained the other partys insurance and reported to my employer that I was involved in a motor vehicle accident and headed to the emergency room. I was referred by colleagues to Godsey Martin Law Firm aka Igothit.com my case manager was awesome. Now here is where everything fell apart. Not once did I ever hear from the adjuster on my case. I heard from a male that said he was working along side her. Well I never heard a peep until I received a text message saying I would receive an update around April 18th. I have been calling since April 18th passed not once did anyone tell me that the negotiator left the practice until I was informed by ********* who proceeded to help me. She push the button to get everything processed and said the moment the funds were received I would get my settlement check the fast method possible which I assume would be Priority Express through the postal service. Well it is now almost the end of July and not a word again since I heard from her in June. Over the weekend I sent a message to the firm requesting an update and hoping my message was seen by the founders expressing my disappointment and frustration. I have already told several of my friends and the ones who referred me to them that I dont recommend this firm. It has been one year and two months since my car accident and no settlement check. This firm has my information and they know how to get a hold of me.

      On April 22nd, I signed up for the law firm to represent me in a car accident case. However, after noticing some questionable things, I requested that I terminated the relationship and asked them to drop me from being their client so I could use someone identified by my employer. The thing that I felt had a conflict of interest was stating that I had to use one of their medical centers and should not use my insurance. This is where I have the most concerns: I would have more out-of-pocket fees using their medical office vs. just using my medical insurance and getting real help from a doctor vs. a nurse practitioner. In addition, when going to the medical clinic, they did not do X-rays or physically touch me to see if anything was wrong. Still, they wanted me to go to a chiropractor and start Physical Therapy immediately, even without knowing what was wrong. When I made my own appointment with a doctor, they did X-rays, told me what was wrong, and gave the complete opposite advice than the medical clinic they advised. To me, this law firm has approved of this medical center, and this medical center is prescribing things that are not needed to make additional money and is not concerned with the actual patient.To end the relationship, I emailed and sent a certified letter to ******* and ******, as I did not know where the lawyers assigned to the case were, and spoke to the paralegal on April 25th. The person I talked to said they would still put a lean on my case, even though nothing has started, and even if I have never spoken to the actual lawyer on the case because the police report has yet to be entered by the police department. Even though this was all done, I still get messages through the app as if I am a client. What I am specifically looking for is a letter documenting that they dropped me as a client and that I should take the lead off the account so I can work with a lawyer within my company.

      On June 4th, 2023 at the request of my daughter I called Godsey Martin Law Firm because my son and I had been in a car accident. On June 5th we signed with the company to retain them and to represent us. On June 6th we heard from, **************************, Case Manager. We then received a welcome letter on June 10, 2023. On July 11th, 2023 we received an email from *********************, Attorney introducing herself. My son and I had been contacting them from the date of June 05, *************************************************************************************** a lot of pain from the accident. My son, ******* Martin had been calling an d calling because we needed to get someone to look at his truck from the accident on June 01, 2023. He had already email them the pictures of the damage and the police report and the insurance adjusters information. We were hurt badly and needed medical attention from a treatment specialist. My son and I were calling and emailing but all we were receiving was email and a couple of phone calls. We finally got to see a physical therapist in July. My son and I kept calling for help with his car. Also the doctor at the physical therapist office was also trying to contact them because they needed permission from the attorney from different treatments and MRI's. We were having a difficult time getting anyone at the law firm to contact us back. We were not getting the help and assistance we needed. Even our Dr. at the physical therapist said they were not returning their calls either. So, on July 18th, 2023 I sent Godsey Law Firm an email that we no longer wanted them to represent me and my son due to lack of communication and service to us. On July 24, 2023 I received a drop letter with a lien. Godsey Martin Law Firm is trying to hold on to our case and they did not assist us properly. They were only retained from June 5th, 2023 to July 18th, 2023. Now they will not release my case without a lien on it. This is an unjust Law Firm for doing that.

      I have reviewed the business response and accept this resolution. I was contacted by Godsey Martin the next day after filing with the BBB. An Attorney named **** contacted me and when I had a chance to call back, he said they would send me the letter I needed. He said the Attorney ********************* was no longer there at the company. She was the attorney that was so rude to me and my son and was refusing to release our case. I do appreciate the quick response from the attorney. After I texted them the next day, I received our release.

      I was in a accident 2/11/22 it is now 1/2024 I am not understanding why this company plays games with people rip them and steal there money ms****y told me another 2-3 years before my case goes before the jury I have debt I have to young ******** to take of no car and I'm disabled. They don't call and update you, you have to track them down I don't think they even care and now she's telling me that they are going to use my criminal history and throw it in my face again I've paid my debt to society and I've been walking a straight and narrow line I have to go through all this because a crazy lowes truck driver driving all over the road fast In A school zone smashes the back of my car with me and my 6 month old at the time now 2 about to be 3 why us.

      They contacted me on 1/30/24 to try and get me to stay but I still wish for them to drop my case with no liens and I don't believe they are going to do so because ***** said someone else is going to contact me but has not yet. All they care about is getting the money and ripping me off is all I can see. My daughter was 6 months at the time another 3 more years shell be 6 impossible to continue with them and this nonsense about my background.

      Please help me resolve a settlement issue with *********************************************** law firm. My disabled son, ********, had a car wreck (car totaled) in August 2022, and I contracted with Godsey Martin to represent his personal injury case. He went to all his medical appointments, but I believe he was released too soon because he was still in pain. I tried contacting his then case manager ***************************, to advise her that he's still in pain. Numerous phone calls & emails later never receive a response back. Months went by and then I discovered his case was transferred to another Case Manager, ********************* in August 2023. Also, I discovered that the insurance company settled the case and Godsey Martin has already received their fees. I tried contacting ********** to find out when his case would be settled/closed, but no response to either email or calls. Months went by again and I called to file a complaint with the firm only to discovered that his case was transferred once again to another case manager, *****************************. My son's case had been at the bottom of the stack, but ************** assured me it would be settled soon. Another couple months has gone by, when I called to get an updated status and was told that they needed another document showing that he's not on ********* which I had already submitted documentation to ******, but I resent again. I've been texting and emailing ************** for an updated settlement status but have not received any response to-date. It's very disappointing that every entity may have received settlement on this case except the victim himself. Don't know exactly if that is the case, but if true, then I feel it is an unethical code of conduct on behalf of this firm. I continue to email the case manager for an updated settlement closure status, but my correspondence goes unanswered. All I want is closure and the settlement due my son and not just to the law firm and the medical entities. Please help.

      This law firm has not been truthful and it takes an act of God to get in touch with them I've been given the run around by case managers and my attorney at this point I won't to drop them and find a firm that will work for me cause clearly there not concerned about there clients.....m

      I have communicated the settlement offer to the client and he does not want to accept it. I explained the only other option is Litigation and that the costs of Litigation would exceed the value of the case. I explained he can either accept the offer or take the case to another lawyer to get a 2nd opinion. I will be calling the client again this week to see how he would like to proceed

      2years ago(almost 3) my boyfriend,my ********* were in a severe car accident... went to therapy(didn't help) I stopped going because I broke my back in several places & the type of therapy they wanted me to do hurt worse.I just felt it benefited them more financially for me to be there....Fast forward the situation till today 9/19/2023 my 10 month old then is about to be 3 & my then 2year old is now in school (pre-k) yet I still have absolutely no idea of what's happening with my case. My mom even suggested that maybe they got the money spent ******** their going to come up with legal reasons where I walk away with hardly anything. I hope that's not the case because that accident cost me dearly... my job,my ************** car...here I am 2years later with debt up to the ceiling & no relief in site. I just want answers, communication, paper work a text something that shows that they hadn't forgot about me. I need to feel as if this case matters to them & right now I feel as if I'm buried up under a stack of newer cases that they value more. Disappointed & Confused ??

      On 3/29/22 I was in a car accident contacted Godsey Martin law firm, who sent me to Allied Medical who gave me a copy of exercises and left me alone. For 30 days I worked hard to be able to lay down on my back without pain. After 30 days off from work, no pay, I wanted to end my case. Godsey martin law firm said I had to have a ***, I was refusing & wanted the case to end, I did not care about the money, I was well and felt good. *** of ***** kept calling and said my case would not move or be terminated if I did not come in on 4/29/22. First day back to school the kids were sick and I got sick. did not want to keep appointment, wanted to reschedule, called *** of ***** and let them know I was too sick to come in. *** of texas, repeated what Godsey martin said I have to come in. I came after all the threats of my case being dropped, I came to *** of ********** sickness was too bad to be under an *** machine. The clerk would not let me from under the machine until I started crying. While I was still elevated, the *** guy never let the table down, while telling me I have to do this *** now. I said no, I am leaving now, I turned to the side to get down from elevated table and fell from the high table HEAD first. Called Godsey martin spoke to ************ and he never called back. 1 hour later I called Godsey martin and ************ said he spoke to the owners and they don't handle medical mal practice cases, when *** of ***** is not a medical doctors business, it is owned by an individual man (more Godsey lies), & now I am left 50% disabled for life. Godsey martin wanted me to settle for $82k not the original $390k asked for. To get treatment for that fall off table, I had to act like the truck accident hurt me. Godsey martin only agreed to drop my case when I refused to say to independent medical examiner I was hurt by the truck accident not their contracted *** of *****. I settled my car claim alone, cannot trust Godsey martin from 3-29-22 to 8-2023, released my case w/liens.

      My complaint is in regards to my dissatisfaction with services provided by Godsey Martin, P.C. on 8/6/23 I was rear ended. I contacted Godsey Martin on 8/6/23 to assist me with the personal injury portion of my accident. On Monday, 8/7/23, I was contacted by ***************************, an employee of Godsey Martin, P.C. I signed a fee contract early on 8/7/23. I was told that my information would be sent to their chosen medical facility to contact me so that my daughter and I could begin treatment. I was not given contact information for the medical facility, but instead was told that the facility would be contacting me to discuss scheduling for myself and my daughter. I did not hear from the medical facility on 8/7/23, so I sent an email to ******* to inquire about when I should expect to be contacted because my daughter and I are both in pain. ******* promptly called me back early Tuesday, 8/8/23 and informed me that she sent the information over to the medical facility and that they would contact me. As of the end of the day Tuesday, 8/8/23 I had not received a call. In addition, on Tuesday, 8/8/23 at 3:30p, I received a voicemail from my case manager, ***************************. I called ****** back on Tuesday, 8/8/23 at 3:45p and left a voicemail. She did not return my call for the remainder of the day. Already, I would say that the follow-through has been lacking with ****** and the medical facility. On Wednesday morning, 8/9/23, I received a call from ******* to advise me that I had not signed the contract for my daughter. I informed ******* that I am not happy with the lack of response that I have received from the medical facility and from my case manager. She passed on the message to ******, the case manager, and within minutes I received a phone call from ******. When I spoke with ************** expressed my dissatisfaction with the process that is just beginning and that I would like to be released from my contract that I signed less than 48 hours ago. I explained that being in pain, not sleeping, and worrying about my daughter and I needing to get to the dr as soon as possible, but yet having to follow-up to see why the medical facility still hasn't contacted me and having to reach out to get answers is causing me additional and unnecessary stress. I shared with ****** that I was in the hospital with my mom for three months prior to my mom's passing this Feb 2023, followed by my grandmother passing away in April 2023, and then 2 days after my grandmas passing we found out that my dad has prostate cancer. I explained to her that not being able to get to a dr or even be contacted by the facility and being in pain had kept me up most of the night prior to speaking to ******. ******'s response was not compassionate and she made the comment that I can choose to pursue the case on my own, but it will be a lot of work and their attorney might still take a fee if I get a settlement. Her comment really blew me away with the fact that only 1 of 2 contracts have been signed less than 48 hours ago, I had not ever spoken to ****** on the phone prior to her calling me only after ******* contacted her. I received a drop letter stating that Godsey Martin will retain a lien on my case and has the right to assert the lien for a fee of 33 1/3% of any settlement that I receive. For the facts that I was not even contacted by a medical facility, I had no prior contact with the case manager, and to my knowledge no additional steps had been taken on my case, I am contesting that the lien remain on my case and that Godsey Martin have a right to any portion of a settlement that I might receive.
