      On May 23, 2023 I sent in the signed and notarized form per their request to authorize them to pay me a total of $5,344.86, $3,395.66 on Annuity Policies *********** and $1,949.20 on ***********. Almost a year later I have not yet received the payment(s) due to me nor have they responded to numerous phone calls and emails.

      I received a letter from ******** *** with AIG stating they were reviewing the complaint. I am confident it is now in capable hands and I will receive the monies due me soon. I will continue to submit updates.

      Update - I was contacted by AIG. Was told the check would be mailed the following week. Then it was last week. UPS label created July 18 but check hasn't been issued yet so I'm still waiting to receive.

      My wife and I have annuities with American General Life - now Corebridge . We submitted the appropriate forms, provided by the company, ( you are suppose to access them on your online account but it always gives an error message . I had to have a rep email me them directly ) March 2024 forms were emailed and uploaded for withdrawal of our annuities ( 100,000 +) . We never heard from them , resubmitted the forms April 1 , 2024 . 2 weeks later we received a call for missing info and called the number provided the missing information and were told check would be mailed with in 7-10 days . When nothing was received we sent another email looking for our funds we were then called back stating they needed more information - we again called and provided the same information - this time were were told it was all set asked for a confirmation and was told that the confirmation was the customer service person name ( Shaun ). We are in need of our funds asap for assisted living - we have an online account that states you should be able to process your withdrawal request on line however it is not accessible. I now tried to log into our account and only our profile is visible and no information on our accounts . This has been an extremely stressful situation and no one should have to go through this to obtain your own money .

      My wife just passed away so so I go to file a claim on her 10k policy, and I called to see what the status Is on it they said they sent me 1100 dollers and that's it, it's a bit of a stretch from 10k so I'm thinking it's time to contact a lawyer, this company are thiefs im already going thru a hard time with all the bills and now they just want to rip me off . So sad steer clear of this company I was told from there representative when I asked to speak to claims department that they don't have a phone number in claims and that it would take 4 to 7 days after you email them to respond what a joke during a time im gunna lose my house and everything because of these thiefs.

      Our grandmother passed away in January of 2023 and have been given the runaround on receiving the payout on her policy. My sister and I have called 5-6 times and spend at least 20 hours on the phone and been transferred from person to person with no resolve. This company just doesn't want to pay out. That is so fraudulent!

      I have submitted loan applications forms to American General Life Insurance three times. I receive no acknowledgement either by phone, email or mail. I have made regular payments on this policy for many years and have an accumulation value. This is unacceptable.

      I am beneficiary of policy # ******** since 2011 - deceased: ****** *****. Every yr since 2012, I have received an RMD check in June. Annuity taken out initailly w/ WELLS/FARGO BANK in FLA. Each year I needed to phone early to ensure check would be certain in amount and my name and address would be correct. I called Feb, 2/1 & 2/7 (talked w/ supervisors, "*** & **** & ***," no last names ever given) & was told I would receive the RMD check in June and in 2025 a check in the amount of $1,403.00 plus interest would be sent and then the account would be closed. However, this past Feb. I received the RMD check, not in June. I called on 3/1/24 to ask why the check was sent to me in Feb insted of June as usual. I was told that there was no money left in the account and that the acct was closed! HOW COULD THE ACCOUNT BE CLOSED WITHOUT NOTICE? WHY IS THERE NO MORE MONEY IN THIS ACCOUNT WHEN I WAS TOLD THAT THERE IS $1,403.00 + PLUS INTEREST STILL LEFT AND WOULD BE SENT TO ME IN 2025 WITH FORMAL NOTICE OF ACCT BEING CLOSED? I never received any notice nor the final check! After numerous calls, I was told that an investigation would be done and I would receive a call/letter in 5 -7 Bs days. I never received either. I finally made contact w/ the MANAGER OF ANNUITY CTR, ***** *********, PHONE: ************** ON 3/15 & 3/18/2024. She stated she would conduct an investigation and I would receive a letter in 5-7 business days. To date I have received nothing and she does not return my calls.

      I have received letters from him that an ongoing investigation is still going on.  This so-called investigation has been going on since March 1, 2024.  
      Obviously a stall to avert the truth that I am owed $1,403.00 plus interest!
      Please advise me of your progress in this case.  The form letter below tells me nothing as access to attachments are denied.  Please call or send me emails verbally explaining what exactly is being done on my behalf.

      I have been paying for 3 insurance policies since 1993. Payment was deducted from my check until retirement in 2017. I have been paying $182.07 quarterly online until the last three times it was due. Apparently there has been a merge or something with Corebridge Financial. My attempts to pay online stop with an accept terms and will not go any further. I have sent secure messages online that have been ignored. I hesitate to mail because I have had an issue with them not posting my payments. What is up with this online system and no response. I’ve been paying for these policies for 31 years and am feeling very uncomfortable about them now. Can you please help? Thank you.

      Company has been delaying payout. First ghe claimed that ghey had mailed a check. Then had to supposedly stop payment of same, then had ETF documents filled out and faxed back. I have called every other day always getting someone different and had to go ghrough the same story. Each timevI was told they need more time. There is no way to contact them other than ghe one number that gets you yo someone who can hardly be understood. We have been dealing with this since the beginning of January, 2024 and it is now March 1st.

      American General Life Ins.  Annuity ************

      On January 2nd or 2024 we submitted a request for this annuity to be paid out and the request was received by American General on the 9th. After waiting for a moth and not receiving a check we called only to be told that it was supposedly mailed on the 13th of January. We never got the check and on Feb 16th sent in paperwork for an ETF and they told us that they would start a stop payment that would take 5 business days and then the EFT would be in another 2 to 3 days. After making numerous calls and being on hold for hours, as of March 1st, we have not received the deposit. We were lied to on each call as to what was being done and most of the time, we could hardly understand the people on the phone. Each time we were told they were taking care of it and to be patient. They told us that the paperwork for the stop payment was processed only to find out today that it was not. After reading more than one other complaint filed with the BBB, we felt compelled to add to the list to let others know what they are in for if they deal with this company. WE only found out today that we were actually dealing with Corebridge Financial. We never knew they were involved.  Today we were told that they were going to process the EFT and we should have ti by Wednesday of next week. To be honest I do not believe anything we are told by them.

      Receipt of the approximately $40,000 plus lost interest
      A Complete written explanation of the failures on the part of American General and Corebridge Financial in resolving this matter as well as a written apology and making us whole by paying us the interest that we have been missing since this matter started on January 9th

      Yes funds were recieved, it us the length of time it took Corebridge to correct their error, they claim that the "lost" check was mailed on  Saturday when they are not even open. I respectively dispute that it was ever mailed. From other complaints on file with you, it is always the lies and misinformation that delays their having to fulfill their obligations. I had to call approximately 10 times on hold for hours and nothingbwas done until I told them I was contacting you and the consumer protection office here in PA.  I do not want a half hearted apology, I want an explanation of their lack of action as well as loss of the use of my approximately $38000.

      We previously had to complain to BBB to get the forms we needed to file for 2 annuities after the death of my father, **** * ******. Finally through the complaint process we were able to get that matter resolved and we began receiving the payments. NOW I am unable to get tax records to complete the taxes on my father's estate. We gave not gotten 1099s for payments made after his death. I have been told a variety of answers via web form requests through the website and phone calls to the help line regarding the 1099s. ("Wait for them as they are probably just late in the mail." "May have gone to the wrong address." "You aren't due 1099s because the payments were changed from principal+interest to only principal at his death.") We cannot file his taxes until we know if the 1099s are missing or if, Indeed, post-death payments are not taxable. It is unbelievable that the company would not routinely communicate the payment schedule, taxable status, and appropriateness of tax reporting. We are trying to report to the IRS in a responsible way but American General does not make that possible. The contracts end in *** and ***.
