  Self can be trusted to the point but when it comes to giving u the money u pay into the account its a problem, this is why people leave bad reviews because they cant stay through to there word with everything, dishonesty to there customers,loyalty and trust is not just earned but its also given. This company need help the owner need to step in and make things right and stop hiding behind closed doors

  My credit builder account was finished and closed and now they wont give me back my $650 deposit. That was the whole reason for giving my money to a credit builder account. I could have put that money in my bank and at least used it. Does anyone know how to proceed further. This has to be illegal. I called them and all anyone does is talk fast and in circles. Never ever answering the question I asked.

  I pay my Card balance off every month on time . They stuck a fee on my account that was added to my Credit amount so it made my card go over on the amount issued to me so now I paid my card a day early and they locked my card and said I have to wait out the punishment for ***** fee making my Card amount go over by them . And I joined them to make my credit score higher it was going up with all my card payments being paid on time so a few months ago or so my credit score went way down I called 2 times about it and they acted as if it was my job to give them copies of my credit scores from Experian and other credit companies. They suppose to be a place to improve your credit not lower with on time payments for over a year . They are con artists. Dont do business with this company because they dont care if you a good paying customer

  They were fine until they close your account. Here's my story.For those that do not know, here's how Self Credit Builder works. Ex: You give $5 every month to Self.inc for 20 months. After 20 months, you will get your $100 back minus Self's fees/interest. The payments were reported to all three credit bureaus.The trouble is if they close the account. They will not be reporting my payments to credit bureaus anymore which defeats the whole purpose of opening an account in the first place.They closed my account because apparently there is an additional requirement that they need. Basic requirements that I could have easily sent to them. I wasn't able to send the requirements for the simple reason that their email went to spam. I was not able to read it.This is their response to my email:Thanks for getting in touch, it looks like you may have missed the two e-mails we sent requesting that you upload some documents to your account. We didn't receive those requested documents, and so any open accounts have been closed. You're still able to login to make any necessary payments. If you'd like to open new accounts, we'll need to receive those missing documents. I've sent a follow up e-mail that includes an upload link, please let us know if you run into issues with that tool.-----------This means I only had 1 option; to open a new account. I did not want to do that because I am already at 85% of my self-loan and also because of the possibility of mass closing accounts again. Also, they did not mention anything about how I will get my money back from my closed account. When asked about this, their response was:Your payout status is currently under review. While, we cannot disclose timeframes of our internal review processes, you will receive email notification once any available funds are released upon conclusion of our review. --I emailed to inform them that I will be filing a lawsuit if they keep withholding funds beyond a reasonable timeframe.

  If I could give this company a zero star review I would. I called them back in October to inform them of the death of my mother and get the $9 back they took out of her account and they said they would refund the money and close her account and never did. Then they took $35 out of her account in November so I called them again to get a refund of $44 and to get her account closed and they said they couldnt find her account and would not refund the money they took. This company is a scam and will take advantage of anyone they can.

  NOT WORTH IT. The rate is astronomically high and did not help my credit what so ever. Even after holding and finishing my two year deal. Do your research there are plenty of better ways to build credit. Do not fall for this scam.

  If there was a way to give this bunch a negative star review, then millions would have done it already. This bunch doesn't care about we the people. My account has hacked my information was changed back in the middle of Oct. I called into the company to ask what they would they closed my account. They have done nothing, but foot drag this whole time then without warning they close my account. And still allow someone else to use my account that I set up as there's.You call in to speak to a higher person up the line only to hear OH SORRY it's going to take 1-2 days for them to call you back which they never do. This is a fraudulent company that needs to be shut down and all those unfortunate people such as myself be given our money back that this company took from us. .

  The worst, they only seem to want your money, been waiting on my payout that account was close in June, I call and call and they only keep sending a Emails, I hate this company, just give me back my money. It's giving off scammers.
