We received a phone call to verify our business name, address and phone number for the Business White Pages. We were told that we would receive information with a disc of examples of the listing in the white pages and we could decide if we wanted to proceed. We received an open disc (the seal on the disc is broken) and an invoice for over $583.95. This company sets you up into believing that they are just verifying your company information and that you will have a choice to continue, but that is not the case, they take verification of this information as a sale. It is a scam, it is wrong. Our company will not be paying this invoice.

Today I received two calls back to back from "Business White Pages." I think these are not legit, but are trying to scam off another service. The first phone call was from ***, who said it was a renewal of a $500 listing for two years and who "confirmed" our old address with our receptionist. She told him that was an old one before putting him on hold to talk with me. He "confirmed" our new address as soon as I picked up the phone. I gave him our website address, which he said he did not have. Then a lady called within one minute and quoted me $549. I said *** said it was $500. She said he was wrong. She was very aggressive about finding out whether she needed a po #, and I said no, we pay by check. She wanted my name and spelling. It really sounded like she was trying to hurry me into agreeing and hanging up. She said we will get one copy and if we need more, we can call to ask for more. I said how do I know you're legit, because when I type in your phone number it says you are a robocall/scam. She rudely said she'd have someone send us something in writing and then she hung up. There are a lot of complaints on BBB. We will not be paying for this service.

We were told that we would receive information with a disc of examples of the listing in the white pages and we could decide if we wanted to proceed. We received an open disc (the seal on the disc is broken) and an invoice for over $534. Some lady from their organization named Demi continuously calls to get this invoice paid, all we did was verify our information we never agreed to payment or a listing. Today, I told her that we are disputing this as we never said we agreed to this listing at which point she became very aggressive and said "I didn't sell you the listing you agreed to." I said, "I never agreed to this" and she said "We can pull the quality control phone call." I said, "Do that." She said, "Really? Really? You really want me to do that?" I said, "Yes." She said, "Well I can't do that but someone will call you back." This company sets you up into believing that they are just verifying your company information and that you will have a choice to continue, but that is not the case, they take verification of this information as a sale. It is a scam, it is wrong and it is a poor business practice.

******* with 'Business White Pages' called on 9/23 to update my existing information for our listing on their site. Please keep in mind I document all of my phone calls in writing, I pretty much transcribe the entire conversation. She had already had all of my information and said she was just confirming the information and wanted to add our website which was all "Free". Then, she says the shipping department was going to call to confirm the listing and to just say "yes" to their questions and remember to just say "yes" to authorize delivery. Shipping department called right after on a recorded line, did not identify their name, and then tried to get me to authorize a charge of $583. I said absolutely not and asked why I would be paying anything. They had no answer and told me the original person I spoke to, *******, would call be back right away. I never heard from them again and reading the other reviews I am fairly confident this is scam and will be reporting the call to the FTC, as I believe others should do.

My organization received a call to verify our company address, contact information, and details on services we provide. We then received a second call to confirm these details. Many weeks later we received a product we didn't order - a USB claiming to contain a directory with verified business contacts along with an unauthorized invoice. We returned to sender along with a note stating that we had not ordered nor approved the purchase. Now we have been sent follow up unauthorized invoices, two times via fax. Our company received an unsolicited call asking us to verify listing info that Business White Pages already had, which the person answering the phone did. That said, the person who answered the phone didn't have authority to issue a purchase from our company for a directory listing or contact list, nor did we want or request a directory. We believe that Business White Pages business practices are predatory and a scam, hoping to prey upon busy organizations. Moreover, the unauthorized invoice price they're attempting to charge us has actually decreased in price, which in our opinion further exemplifies the scam. Normal, non-scamming businesses often charge late fees for late payment but Business White Pages seems to be trying to just get some amount of money out of our organization for services we did not ask for, want, nor use. The first follow up faxed unauthorized invoice sent was $583.95, on which we received no discount and were being charged for shipping. The most recent, 2nd follow up faxed unauthorized invoice is $449, on which we are receiving a $100 discount and not being charged shipping, which means the price has dropped for not paying. Copies of these unauthorized invoices have been attached. We consider this entire process a scam.

Tony **** from Business White Pages (XXX-XXX-XXXX) called our office today 4/5/22 to "verify" our contact information. He told me to expect a follow up call to further verify information with the inference that the second call was to make sure our info was good to publish. The second caller asked me on a recorded line to confirm a shipment and agree to a charge of $549 with the inference this was the renewal of an existing subscription. I agreed because I am new and was busy, but then immediately looked into it and learned that we don't purchase anything from this company. I called back within minutes and spoke with another rep named ***** ****** who said our listing was complementary, that he saw nothing in the system about an order, and assured me that we would not get a shipment or bill. But when pressed, he only repeatedly told me not to worry. I am concerned that my company WILL get a shipment and bill for $549 because I initially agreed to it on a recorded line and the rep who took my "cancellation" call gave me a lot of empty reassurances, but nothing concrete like a ticket number or promise that the matter would be investigated and someone would follow up.

Business-whitepages.com (Business White pages) has been harassing us for a fraudulent add which the supposedly placed in their system. We never authorized this add or requested it to be placed. They called to verify our address and based on that send an invoice. At no point did we agree to place an add with them, no verbal or written contract has been provided or agreed to. Demi has been calling and e-mailing our office in a manner that is inappropriate and borders on harassment. She is aggressive and relentless. This company is a scam, they dupe people into contracts under false pretenses.

White Pages allows for private information (name, DOB, address, relatives. Financial information, criminal records, and other demographic information) to be public for others to view. I attempted to follow their website to opt out and have my private information removed from their website due to my job. When I attempted to remove myself, I got ti step 5 of 5, when I am to confirm a number by a phone call. My confirmation number was ****. When I received the phone call to confirm, I received a message, "application error occurred, good bye." The call was then ended and my information is still public. I want my private information removed from all white pages and their sources.
