On 1/12/25 i purchase a couch using American first finance, the price of the couch was around 1400. I made the payments each month and made an additional payment of $600 to pay off the loan. On the last day of the buyout period (4/2024), I still owed roughly $40. On May 1st i checked the account to see how much was remaining to be shocked to see that i owed $1362.00. I contacted the buisness to inform them that there was an error. I was told that after the buyout date i would be charged the price of the couch plus a item charge (hidden and shady fees) This amount is literally 2x the price of the couch and was not on any of the paperwork when i purchased the couch. American first finance is conducting illegal hidden charges. This couch was paid for i will not be paying double the price of the item because i still owed $30 after the payoff date.

Used this company to but auto parts. Was told there was early purchase date of 101 days. If not paid off then I couls still payoff early to avoid finance chages (greater than 200% interest). Have paid $2600 on original $3200 loan in less than 6 months. Now told to close account I must pay over $2900 more. Ridiculous/predatory practice. I offered to pay $700 to close account and was denied. I want to pay what I owe and close account asap. Can pay immediately upon acceptance of terms.

I paid over $1,400 on a $1,000 loan with American First Finance through consistent weekly payments. Then I was asked to pay an additional $152 and $38 to settle the account. Despite this, I was told the account may be reported as settled to the credit bureaus, which could reflect negatively on my credit. When I questioned the representative, they admitted the company does not report any positive payment history, only negative settlements. I find this extremely misleading and manipulative. It appears they are using selective reporting to pressure customers into paying exaggerated interest.I have filed a formal complaint with the ************************************ (ID #**************** and sent certified dispute letters to the major credit bureaus.I am requesting that American First Finance confirm no negative tradeline will be reported and that if any reporting is done, it must include my full and accurate payment history.

An account was open in my name for monies that I do not have or did not get. Ive been calling the company theyve been givingme the runaround. They told me that I cant speak to anybody in the fraud department. This is a scam. I was even told by one of the employees that the credit card numbers that theyre using on the account has been linked to several other accounts there, but no one can seem to do anything about it.

I entered a contract with American First Finance for auto repair. The merchant never completed the repairs and stop responding. I reported this to American First Finance on 3/3. Since then, they have tried to get into contact with the merchant and were not successful as shown in the screenshot. They are now telling me that they have sent my complain to an internal team as of 3/18. They won't let me speak to anyone on that internal team nor will they share what this internal team is working on. They continue to make me wait with no update. They have also started adding late fees to my account even though I am in the middle of a dispute. I would like a full refund of my account as they have literally admitted that the merchant is unreachable and at fault.

Date of transaction: Dec 2025 Loan Type: Lease-To-Own Loan Amount: $5,000 Amount of payment made so far: $2,895.19 Buy out option before 3/24/2025: under $4,500 Buy out option after 3/24/2025: $13,913.34 I am filing a complaint against American First Finance regarding unfair and deceptive pricing practices. After consistently making bi-weekly payments for four months under the agreement terms, I was shocked to discover that the early buyout amount had been significantly increasedby nearly 150%. This unexpected and drastic increase in the payoff amount feels like price gouging and is both unreasonable and unethical. I entered this agreement in good faith, and such changes after months of timely payments undermine that trust. I am requesting a full review of my account and a fair resolution based on the original terms.

I recently financed a phone through American First Finance and was given an okay offer. At checkout I was told to sign a little pad and was told that my signature was me agreeing to make the monthly payments of $138.00, which they were automatically taking out of my bank account via direct deposit. I finally get to the last payment and realize that I had a charge of 4000! I had just paid off over 2000 and it went back up to 4000!? I called them and they tried to tell me that it was my fault because I didnt pay it off in time when I had set up automatic payments with them! They told me that it was in the contract that if I didnt buy it out early I had to pay the extra 4000. I WAS NEVER TOLD OR SHOWN A CONTRACT! I had already left my job because I am a college student and Im struggling with everything as is. But they keep pulling money out of my bank account sending me into the negatives and drowning me in overdraft fees! This company is a scam! Once I called and complained, they told me they could discount it to ******* and I had to sit there and literally beg them to bring it lower. I have one more payment due tomorrow of ****** and have no clue on how to get the money since Im already in the negatives. I cant even explain how rude, selfish, and evil these people are. They got their money for the product PLUS CRAZY INTEREST and theyre still trying to dig for more. Absolutely embarrassing and low. Dont EVER finance with this company!

When i get to purchase this item in store, they told me about the financing option with American first finance, and they told me that i will have a 6 month period for early buy out. And then i checked today, that i only have 120 days to pay it off. Called customer service, talked to agent and he just apologized for this miscommunication and keep saying if i will make a payment today with no resolution to my problem. Now i have to pay the whole thing with interest. Liars liars.. my advice to yall people is read very carefully the contract, even if they tell you something else.. i fell, but thats on me now.
