      They don't instill much confidence. I need neck surgery my company went through them so I have to use their surgeons. I gave them two areas of the country they have a total of six doctors. I live in a huge area with some of the best spine surgeons in the country in a huge group but they only have two doctors in my area. That's not very encouraging and the two doctors they have are brand new young and aren't even in the top of their profession.The second area of the country where I had some relatives that could support me if I had surgery there again huge area some wonderful doctors within 5 MI but the closest doctor that they have down there was 3 hours away and they had three whole doctors in the State of Florida three doctors out the whole state that doesn't give me much confidence and their choices

      Surgery Plus/****** has been the most non-transparent business I have ever dealt with, will not provide documentation requested, will not provide a copy of my insurance policy/guidelines as required by state law, difficult to speak with the claims representative assigned to the account. This company behaves with no moral ethics and have ZERO concern on how this effects the families they are asking to trust with their loved ones in very stressful times. PLEASE read the poor reviews and believe them, my experience has been similar to these as well. I live in a metro area of over 7 million and Surgery Plus/Lantern has 4 surgeons to chose from, this should raise the red flag on it's own. Don't try to reach any executive management for help on your case. The CEO (**** ******) should be ashamed of himself and his ethics, he has his email address blocked so his customers do not have the ability to reach him in any form or fashion. The other executive management team, **** *********, ***** ********, **** **********, and ****** **********, will just ignore any contact made. I would be embarrassed to work for a company that behaves this way with such poor leadership. I feel sorry for an employee of any company that decides to utilize Surgery Plus/Lantern as an "added benefit" and am sure this company will be out of business or need to change their name again to save face soon. Avoid if you have the ability!!!

      This company is the worst. I called the other day to see if my surgeon was covered under their plan. The conversation was so convoluted. There are no surgeons in **************, which is where I live. Closest one is 3 hours away. They would not give a list of providers so I could research the doctors. I told them no thank you. Hung up. Two days later received an email with 3 surgeons listed again, out of state and 3 hours away. I ignored the email and received another today and they called my husbands work office manager. They used my name, asked for me, told the office manager they were inquiring about a surgery I needed to schedule. I never gave them that number, I never gave permission to call and I told them I was NOT interested in their service. Is that even legal??? How dare they reach out and use my name to contact anyone at my husbands work.

      This was such a mess. The icing on the cake was a 4 1/2 hour car ride only to find out that my appointment had been cancelled. That was a fun ride home I gotta tell you. Doctors staff had no apology or explanation, just said they contacted surgery plus about it (no idea why they wouldn't actually tell the patient). The lack of communication all around was appalling and the lack of competence and professionalism from the people they work with is just sad. Surgery plus didn't seem to be interested in any of this either. I asked for my gas money and it seems I'm being ghosted now that everything has blown up. Not only can I not recommend surgery plus I will tell anyone who will listen to avoid them.

      I used Surgery Plus through my employer for hernia repair in late 2022.I received an email invoice on Thursday 12/21/23 - 14 months after my procedure. After receiving the email, I followed up with Surgery Plus to understand a) why I never received the invoice and b) my financial responsibility. I was given conflicting information by two different reps, with one telling me the invoice was from May 2022 and another telling me it was from March 2022. Surgery Plus had my work email, personal email, and phone. I have no record of any attempts to reach me about the invoice until 12/21/23. I had to sign up for an account to view the invoice, which was not initially available in their portal due to "IT issues", and did not even see the invoice until Friday 12/29/23.What's more, the first invoice was for my deductible, copay, and coinsurance, for a total of about $2700. When I spoke to a member of their billing team, I was asked for documentation of whether or not I met my deductible for 2022 and how much of my out of pocket ***** spent. I thought this was odd - Shouldn't they have had that already? What was this invoice even based on? In any case, I provided letters from my main insurance that said I met my deductible ($2000) and about half of my out of pocket *** (about $2075) for 2022.I received a call on Wednesday 1/10/24 from a Surgery Plus rep who said I did not owe them anything since I met my deductible, and that the invoice was sent by mistake. The rep promised to follow up with me the next day to confirm the invoice had been resolved. Today, Friday 1/12/24, I received a call from the same rep saying that now I owe roughly $1400 because, according to my plan, they collect the remaining out of pocket *** after deductible has been met.To make matters worse, this company does not offer payment plans. I have never worked with a company that was so disorganized and inflexible. I would never recommend Surgery Plus to anyone, much less my coworkers.

      This is a way to have Dr's that are long distance away , use Surgery plus to recruit patients all the providers i received are 6 to 10 hour drive for an appointment? and all had poor reviews ?

      SurgeryPlus is an amazing program! I highly recommend it, and will definitely use it again should the need arise. My care coordinator, *****, took care of every detail and I didn't have to do anything but show up to my appointments. The consultation, surgery, and follow-up were covered 100%; as well as hotel, gas, food, and mileage for my myself and my wife. The hotels we stayed in were very nice, and very close to the doctor's ******* ***** also did an amazing job of keeping me informed throughout the entire process, and checked on me to see how I was doing after my surgery. Facing surgery is unpleasant and stressful, but SurgeryPlus made the process so much easier.

      When I called with questions about the surgery I needed, they not only answered my questions but put me with the best Dr ever, **************** was amazing, they checked on me before surgery and after surgery, Thanks so much for Everything and ************** I feel so much better no and today makes 6 weeks since I had surgery, so far so good...
