Vida Vacations is a scandalous organization. They manipulate you, take you into their sale department and pressure you into purchasing a timeshare. You are like a prisoner and their job is to ware you down until they can get you to sign something. They bait and switch what is are purchasing, promising you everything and place this in all legal unreadable legal jargon in very small print only so that you later discover that you have been ripped off. I am an owner for over 20 years and at one time they were reputable and market leaders. Now they separate the groups meaning the sales team has nothing to do with the property and the property has nothing to do with the sales group and now for several years they have been promoting a theme park that only has a few basics items that again is separate from sales and the lodging property. The biggest scam is they are selling you the dream of this beautiful property but in reality you would be safer and it would be much more affordable to rent an Airbnb. The contracts are written in very small and confusing print purposely so that it is impossible to read. The contract states exceptions basically giving them the rights to do anything and nothing and to provide you with basically the ability to rent in the future their property at a high and increasing price. Don't stay here and by all means don't do business with them.Vida Vacations

Good morning, BBB.Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.Upon receipt of this complaint, our records indicate that a ****** Services Representaiive from Vida Vacations has been in communication with the Complainant. On May 16, the Representative spoke with the Complainant and offered assistance. The Complainant has been a valued member of Vida Vacations for 20 years. The Representative was not able to change a prior reservation for the Complainant but did offer to return the $250 food and beverage promotional fee the Complainant had paid.On May 18, the Complainant acknowledged he did not want a refund but would try to use a portion of the reservation previously made at the point of sale.Vida Vacations considers this matter resolved and closed.Thank you for the opportunity to address this matter.Respectfully,Vida VacationsReview fromTeresa A

Nobody knows where the money is. Vidante claims they dont have the $*******, plus we gave a down payment of $4800.00. ******* says they are cancelling contract & keeping the $4800.00. Talk about scam or highway robbery! Hey ************** well sell you our ********** 2 bedroom we have.Vida Vacations

To whom it may concern;Thank you for the opportunity for Vida Vacations to respond to the complaint issued by the Complainant in the above referenced Review ID#.On April 17, 2023, the Complainant purchased a secondary contract with Vida Vacations at the Vida Vacations resort in Nuevo Vallarta. The total purchase price for this new contract was $13,750.00 and the Complainant paid an initial down payment in the amount of $4,813.00USD. The cash balance of $8,937.00 was due on May 17, 2023.On April 19, the Complainants had some inquiries on their new contract and met in person with their sales associate. All of their concerns had been addressed to their satisfaction. On May 12, the Complainant telephoned the accounting department and provided their credit card information to pay for the cash balance of their contract. On June 13, the Complainant telephoned the Vida Vacations *********** to inquire about a charge from Vida Vacations for over $8000.00. The agent confirmed the charge made to Vida Vacations was in the amount of $8,937.00 which was for the balance on contract INTN12793.On July 5, Vida Vacations was in receipt of a credit card dispute for the paid cash balance of $8,937.00. The accounting manager attempted to contact the Complainants to discern the reason for the dispute, but the Complainants did not respond.Vida Vacations responded to the credit card dispute with a rebuttal indicating the Complainants telephoned the credit card information to pay for the cash balance. On August 5 since the disputed payment transaction was made by telephone and the payment was not done through a credit card terminal, the bank deemed the charge fraudulent, and the payment was reversed back to the card holder-the Complainant. September 1-8, the Complainants were guests at the Vida Vacations Resort in Nuevo Vallarta. On November 14, the Complainant contacted Vida Vacations to indicate that the bank had returned the disputed charge back to Vida Vacations. The Vida Vacations agent requested a copy of the Complainants credit card statement to verify this reversal to Vida Vacations. On December 4, Vida Vacations received an official letter from the bank informing Vida Vacations that the disputed monies were returned to the cardholder and not to the merchant. This letter was forwarded to the Complainant as evidence the Complainant could provide to the ***************** to make a claim or a search. On December 7, the Complainant contacted Vida Vacations to indicate the bank informed them the funds were returned to Vida Vacations account ending 0642. However, the agent informed the Complainant that Vida Vacations is not affiliated with an account ending with this designation and that the Complainant should consult their bank.On January 2, 2024, the Complainants indicated that there has been no positive response from their bank. The Complainant refused to provide their bank details to support that the funds were returned to the merchant. On February 27, a ****** Services Representative reached out to the Complainant upon receipt of this complaint. The Complainant acknowledged payment of the $8,937.00. Then states that having received a notice for the cash balance plus a late fee of $446.00 and that several agents informed the Complainant that the Company does not have the paid balance. Interestingly, that the Complainant failed to mention having filed a dispute for the payment and states this is a scam since now the Complainant is being informed the contract will be cancelled if payment for the balance is not paid and the company will retain the down payment. The Complainant also contending that the down payment is being held by Vida Vacations. This is a true statement. As per their contract, Clause 12, if the members request cancellation of the contract beyond 5 business days, the Company will retain all monies paid as compensation. This is the 10th contract purchased by the Complainant and therefore, would be very aware of the cancellation policy of their contract. Currently, the Complainants contract in question is in default and in jeopardy of being cancelled due to Clause 12-General Provisions DEFAULT. Time is of the essence in this Contract. If at any time any of the following occur: (i) ****** falls behind by two payments due under this Contract; (ii) ****** fails to perform any other obligation required to be performed under this Contract and such failure continues (with or without notice) for 30 days or is repeated at any time; or (iii) if any representation by ****** in connection herewith is untrue; Company may elect, at Companys option, to terminate this Contract Vida Vacations did not receive the disputed monies as the dispute ruling was awarded in favor of the cardholder (the Complainant) and has provided evidence of this to the Complainant including in response to this filed complaint. The Complainant has not since responded.Vida Vacations is not in breach of the signed contract of the Complainant. We thank you for the opportunity to provide supporting evidence pertaining to this matter.Respectfully,Vida Vacations Nuevo VallartaReview fromKristin K

1 starWe were threatened, lied to & held against our will.Picked up at 8:30am for 9am mtg. For 1.5hrs, we were shuffled bet 9 diff people & then assigned to salesperson *****, who silently walks us to breakfast. We're told that we eat breakfast & THEN start the presentation. We already lost 2hrs. We tell him we're no longer interested. He silently walks us back & a woman threatens that if we leave, we'll be charged for the upgraded room. We cancel our plans & go back since we don't want to pay for what we thought was free. Breakfast takes 1hr. Then we're presented w/ ****** pre-written sales pitch. He pitches a timeshare for over $500K & then for $400K, $300K, etc. This goes on for 1hr. We're told we can put a deposit on a cc w/ no credit check. We can leave just $20K or $10K down & payments will only be $5-15K/month. We keep saying no. ***** comes over & tries to make more deals w/ us, jokes that ******************** is legal in ****** & finally tells us we can leave & a shuttle will take us back to our hotel. ***** gets in the shuttle with us, very odd & we're brought to another building, not our hotel & are escorted into another sales room!We witness a woman trying to leave in tears, saying she has an emergency & needs to leave. All the doors are locked. We're being held hostage. We meet 6 more people. We're uncomfortable. We say were leaving & again are threatened that well have to pay for the upgrade. I ask how can we end this & leave & am told to buy a timeshare. 5hrs in, I buy a small timeshare & hope that I can cancel it later. They process my cc before they give me the contract to review. The contract doesnt match what weve been pitched. Its not w/ Vidanta, but w/ Limitless Vacations. More lies, but after 6hrs we're in a shuttle to our hotel. We never received our free gift. I don't know how these people sleep at night! To cancel afterwards, reply to the confirmation email you receive ASAP & state you want to cancel for a full refund.Review fromGenalin S

We were fooled to buy this time share that promised to have the opportunity to invest if we are not able to use it yearly. At that time we had very young children and had told them it might not be a fit for us because we may not always have time off from work that works with kids activities and school. The sales pitch was convincing and we ended ** buying in 2013 with a **************** Club to rent our weeks. This turned out to be a big fraud. Fast forward, we ended up using this time share once since 2013 due mainly to unavailable dates, confusion during booking, about what we have and the pandemic in 2020. We ended ** in its entirety about $27,000 and only used it for 1 week with an upgraded room in their Puerto Vallarta Mayan Palace accommodation. It was not the best room by any means to the ones weve had in various countries weve stayed in. They even tried to lure us to extend our ownership and let us know then that we were very lucky to have continued a membership from a founding member that we took over which was apparently unknown to us. We remembered all the hard bookings and calls so we decided to just pay the $800+ to have access for 10 more years and hopefully get something out of the $27,000 we lost. After their failed sales talk, which, by the way did not take 1 hour as promised but from 9-2:30pm taking up our whole last day of our vacation, ******* said If you found it hard to book your weeks before, what made you think that its going to be easier this time. So future buyers be very wary about this company. To us who have lived in Europe, Asia and the *** this is way too overpriced and have very deceptive sales practices.Vida Vacations

REFERENCE ID#******** To whom it may concern:Vida Vacations thanks you for bringing this matter to our attention. We will provide you with the facts that our database has documented. On July 7, 2013, the Complainants attended a sales presentation at the Vida Vacations Resort in the ************, ****** destination. The Complainants purchased a vacation for Lodging Rights and Services in the pre-construction of the *************** Hotel in a ****************** unit with kitchen). In the filed complaint, the Complainants indicate they were fooled into buying this timeshare with an opportunity to rent any unused weeks. This is a false statement. As per the signed (by the Complainants) contract recitals, Clause 9.1C which states:Membership is intended for use and enjoyment of Member, not for rental, resale or investment.if at any time, Member decides to rent in a private transaction any of the weeks which are subject to this contract, such weeks are subject to availabilityIn addition, Clause 9.1D states: Member understands that exchange companies, collection agencies, credit card companies, travel agencies, tour operators, rental companies, resale companiesare independent companies, and that the Company is not responsible in any way for any acts, omissions or policies. The Complainants further state, only using the timeshare once since 2013 due mainly to unavailable dates, confusion during booking, about what we have and the pandemic in 2020.The above statements are not true. As per our database, the Complainants file indicates:On January 27, 2015: The Complainant telephoned Vida Vacations to deposit one of their weeks into the exchange ******* of *********************** citing they did not want to travel to ******. They were advised payment for the week should be done asap.On March 14, 2016: The Complainant telephoned Vida Vacations to complain about a rental ******* the Complainant signed up with and that the rental ******* always gives excuses why the weeks have not rented. Advised the rental ******* is a third party and Vida Vacations is not responsible for the outcomes. On December 18, 2018: The Complainants requested an overview of their contract. Members requested the 2017 week to be deposited into one of their 3rd party affiliates-the agent advised payment for the week is required. Also, the Complainant requested the 2018 week be accrued. This was approved and the Complainant advised the week would need to be used before December 2019.On October 15, 2019: The Complainant telephoned to request transferring the 2018 week to 2020. As per contract, weeks may only be accrued for one year, (see attached addendum) however, a special exception was authorized providing the Complainant pay for the week accordingly. On December 14, 2019: The Complainant responded to a reservation promotion for more information and would call back. The Complainant called back and made reservation #*******.On March 2, 2020: The Complainant telephoned the ********************** to confirm reservation #*******.On March 13, 2020: The Complainant telephoned the ********************** to indicate having emailed to cancel the above reservation. The Complainant indicated having to confirm childrens school dates to change and requested that the 2018 week be respected for 2020. This was another special authorization. On April 13, 2020: The ********************** offered to modify the Complainants reservation due to Covid and paid week needs to be used before December 14, 2020. The Complainant did not have dates at the time.On August 22, 2020, the Complainant requested 2 consecutive weeks for Mayan ************ in Nuevo Vallarta for August ****, 2021. Advised the 2018/19 weeks had expired but would apply the paid Use Fee for an upgrade into the one-Bedroom Mayan Palace as the Master room does not accommodate 4 adults. The Complainant accepted for reservation #*******.On April 27, 2021, the Complainant telephoned to cancel the above reservation and did not wish to re-schedule. Was advised the Use Fee was non-refundable but the cancellation fee would be waived. On March 21, 2022: the Complainant called in to complain about not being able to use the membership and requested that all the monies paid to date be applied to the Vida Vacations cruise. This was not possible as the cruise option was not yet operational. On February 27, 2023, the Complainant requested to use the 2022 week in 2023. The agent informed the Complainant that the Extension Fee was required for the contract to remain active. The Complainant got upset citing was not informed of this. This is not a true statement as it is indicated in the signed contract Recitals-Clause 3-TERM.On September 20, the *********************** made an exception and combined the paid 2022 and 2023 weeks to provide an upgrade to a one-bedroom Grand Mayan Reservation #******* for December 28, 2023.On January 3, ****, while guests at the Vida Vacations resort in Nuevo Vallarta, the Complainants attended a members update presentation, but did not make any purchase.Vida Vacations is not in breach of the signed contract of the Complainant. Contrary to the complaint filed, the Complainant has made use of the membership as indicated.Thank you for the opportunity to provide the pertinent information in the filed Complaint.Review fromRobert H

Most of the low ratings on here are from people whom didn't have a plan when they joined. Yes, the pressure sales tactics are awful, so simply don't attend if you don't wish to buy into this. Personally, I plan on upgrading every ***************************** the Grand Luxxe. When I retire, I'm going to stay at Vidanta for 4-6 weeks and bring my family along. I'm also keeping RCI, I don't expect my paid off timeshare will ever sell, so why not keep it and keep exchanging to travel the world. The salespeople at Vidanta will fold on the price once they know you're interested, just be smart and negotiate your way down if you truly wish to keep returning to this 5 star, non-inclusive resort.Vida Vacations

I was lured to this property by the a very deceptive representative at the airport , we were told that all we had to do we come to the property and take pictures and post on whatever social media site that we were on, in return we would get a free week at the vidanta all inclusive property. We were told not to eat the breakfast at the all inclusive hotel we were staying because they would have an elaborate buffet once we got there(this was a lie) we were told that this would only take the 90 minutes(this was a lie) we had 2 guys to sit down we us and chatted for about 1 hour and after that we proceeded to be shown several rooms that we were not interested in but went along with it just because. About 2 hours into it we mention that we were promised it would only take about 90 minutes from start to finish and that we needed to wrap it up, the sales guy said to me and my husband that the presentation did not start until we set down in his office and another hour and a half we told him we were not interested at all even if it was free at r that time he continued to go over some prices and we still told him we were not interested and that we needed to wrap it up, he still would not take no for a answer and sent someone else in we again stated no we were not interested and after going back and forth for about another 45 minutes was finally allowed to go to another office to be approached by another sales guy we went back and forth with him with a price of **** we still told him no. After about another 30 minutes he left we thought we were getting out of there in walks another guy who finally offered a rate that what we thought was durable we finally decided to give in. went to try to use this package to discover this is just a membership and i would like to get my money back. I do not know why this company is able to stay in business. I is a scam. Member no INE18090Vida Vacations

January 29, **** Better Business Bureau ***************************** ******-*******-************* CASE REFERENCE ID#******** REVIEW ID#: ****** To whom it may concern;Thank you for bringing this matter to the attention of Limitless Vacations. We will provide the facts documented in our database for this file.On November 4, 2023, the Complainant was a guest at a nearby Resort in Nuevo Vallarta and was cordially invited to attend a sales presentation at the Limitless Vacations resort in Nuevo Vallarta. Clients are informed that if they accept the invitation, they are obliged to remain at the presentation for 90 minutes once the presentation begins. All clients are under no obligation to make a purchase and are provided with various gift incentives for their time attending the presentations. All clients are free to leave the presentations after their obligatory 90 minutes have passed. In this Complaint, the Complainant indicated that the Complainant had no interest in purchasing a membership, at which point they had the opportunity to leave the presentation and obtain their incentives. However, the Complainant did choose to purchase a vacation membership as noted in the Complaint. In the final complaint, the Complainant indicates that upon initiating use of the purchase, discovered that it is just a membership? Limitless Vacations is not certain what else the Complainant would have thought they were purchasing. Their signed Purchasers Acknowledgement contract, clearly states:Member has the right to access the benefits program included in the Limitless Vacations Membership described herein. Member must be current with their annual dues to participate in Limitless Vacations Membership Program. I understand that my Limitless Vacations Membership includes the following benefits:All Limitless Vacations contracts are reviewed in a recorded Verification procedure to ensure that members have read, agreed, and understood the contract signed. Furthermore, at the conclusion of this Verification process, members are asked to share 2-3 reasons for their purchase (See attached Verification Checklist). The above Complainant offered the following reasons:1-Amazing properties 2-Sales Representative was great 3-Corporate Team is excellent On January 2, ****, the Complainant contacted Limitless Vacations for assistance obtaining a reservation. The LV agent offered to the Complainant 3 accommodation options within their requested location and desired price range for their request for Los Cabos, ****** for the dates of February 21 to February 27, ****, for 2 adults. It was noted to the Complainants to keep in mind that pricing and availability are subject to change at any moment. The Complainants have not responded back to the LV agent regarding this request. As stated clearly on page 2 of the Complainants initialed and signed Purchasers Acknowledgement, I/We may cancel the Limitless Vacations Membership at any time, but my initial membership participation fee is non-refundable. Therefore, the Complainant is not *********** the requested refund. Limitless Vacations is not in breach of the signed and initialed contract of the above Complainant and is able and willing to provide all the benefits as per the language of the contract.Limitless Vacations thanks you for the opportunity to provide the material facts in this case.Respectfully,Limitless Vacation Nuevo Vallarta, ******Review fromFiredog53

On Nov. 23, 2019, the Complainant and guests were registered at the resort to attend a sales presentation. The Complainant insinuated being surprised a sales presentation began. Note: all registrants sign a disclaimer which acknowledges they are attending a sales presentation and obligated for 90 minutes. The Complainant made a purchase for a Vida Vacations membership. As with all purchases, all members are asked at the conclusion of a recorded Verification process to share 2-3 reasons for their purchase. The Complainant shared 1-Value 2-Experience 3-Opportunity. This contradicts the reference of being held captive. On November 24, the Complainant emailed the sales associate to indicate that the Complainant had consulted their financial consultant who informed the Complainant they could not afford the purchase. The contract was cancelled. The Complainant was then invited to attend a sales presentation with Limitless Vacations for a travel membership. The Complainant made a purchase with Limitless Vacations. Once again, the Complainant was asked to share 2-3 reasons for the purchase which it was indicated: 1-***** (sales associate) 2-Lifestyle and 3-Deserve it.On March 22, 2020, the Complainant emailed the sales associate from the first contract asking about a job opportunity they had discussed on the presentation. In addition, the Complainant asked about extending the first free year of enrollment with Limitless Vacations due to Covid. The Complainant was directed to a ****** Services Representative who was able to get a one-time exception and thus an additional year was provided. On September 14, 2021, the Complainant emailed a 2nd request to extend the first year enrollment due to travel restrictions imposed by the ******** Government to ******. The Complainant made further complaints about the sales process but indicated it could be overlooked if another year of free enrollment was extended. On January 20, 2022, the Complainant emailed a ****** Services Representative of Vida Vacations about the 150-day booking window for the "Resort Weeks" at Vida Vacations Resorts and for Grand Mayan resorts specifically. The Complainant also inquired if the rates of $199 for a one-bedroom and $299 for a two-bedroom were still in effect. The Representative reviewed the 150-day booking window was still effective and is best to book out further for better availability. The Representative also explained the rates for the various Vida Vacations resorts/units, and the rates the Complainant quoted were with Limitless Vacations. The Complainant became upset citing being told the $199 and $299 rates were for Grand Mayan. This is not a true statement. As per the signed and initialed Purchaser's Acknowledgement which clearly states these fees refer to the "2 Weeks" per year ($299 or less on the LV Website) and the 15 "Premium Weeks" ($299 and up per week on the LV website). The "Home Resorts" (for weeks at the Vida Vacations Resorts clearly indicates that members rate is based on the size and type of unit reserved. The Complainant initialed each of these clauses. On January 23, the now wife of the Complainant emailed the Representative and asked to get clarification on how to use the LV membership. She asked how to access other resorts in Puerto Vallarta area. The Representative informed her to contact LV to review the International Weeks and also offered to have a LV agent contact her to assist with the request. On January 24, the Complainants wife emailed the Representative apologizing for the accusations made by the Complainant. She further inquired more clarity about navigating the LV website. The Representative, not being an employee of LV offered to have an LV agent contact her for assistance. The Complainant's wife emailed later to inform the Representative that they had secured a reservation in Puerto Vallarta for Feb. ****, 2022. She thanked the Representative for the past help extending their free year enrollment twice and for all the additional assistance. In closing she indicated: "Biggest learning is that Vida and Limitless provide fast and excellent assistance no question...thanks again for your help, it was wonderful working with you".The Complainant states in the filed complaint, "do you think I would actually make a decision that would cost me tens of thousands of dollars without seeing a contract without having time to think about it"?This is a false statement. First-the Complainant did make a decision to purchase and secondly the Complainant was provided with a contract after signing a worksheet. The sales associate reviews each item on the Agreement with the members. Thereafter, the Complainant is introduced to a ****** Services Representative who on recording, reviews the purchase benefits. In closing members are asked if there were any promises, oral or written, that are not indicated in the Agreement. The Complainant indicated there were none. The Complainant additionally states: "The salesperson...was very nice at first, but very clearly had absolutely no care for us as human beings and only wanted to close the deal". This contradicts one of the 3 reasons the Complainant stated for purchasing, which was the sales associate.Limitless Vacations is able and willing to provide the services and benefits as per the language of the signed Purchasers Acknowledgment and has already demonstrated by providing a reservations noted above. Vida Vacations is also able and willing to provide the "Resort Weeks" to the Complainant as per the language indicated in the Limitless Vacations membership. We thank you for this opportunity to present the facts in this matter.Respectfully,Limitless VacationsReview fromJOHN W
