For a couple of months now, I have reached out to GM Financial in regards to them reporting a false account on my credit report. The account #******** has been listed as a Repossession, collection and charge-off. How was this possible? How can an account be reported several different ways? This car was in a accident and paid off completely by insurance. I have solid evidence and documentation to prove it as well. This is truly unfair to me as a consumer because it's damaging to my character and reputation. I have never had a Repossession in my life and I am absolutely frustrated with GM Financial for reporting that on my profile. I have listed below how they are reporting this account several ways which is misleading and confusing. I am in distress over the fact that GMFNANCIAL is falsely reporting on my credit. As I have never had any accounts with this debt collector, this reporting is a violation of my rights and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (15 U.S. Code 1681d).Account #******XXXX is a false report and I demand immediate proof, such as the original signed contract or application, or deletion of the false information from my credit report. I am attaching the definition of the violation under the Fair Credit Reporting Act for your reference.Please have the creditor provide the validation documents to the BBB and send certified mail to me, as I am extremely concerned that my rights are being ignored and I do not want to be brushed off. **************** is rude! I spoke with them November 23rd that a girl hit the side of my vehicle and I needed it to be repaired 100% not my fault accident. I asked how long for truck to be returned. I was told I had to end of payment period which should have been after December 15th On December 3rd My truck was taken at 3am by repo! I was paid up to date.. I paid November 15th my truck was taken December 5th! NEVER ONCE receiving a phone call because GM Financial DOESNT call ******** because theyve been sued for MILLIONS! I had a late payment placed on my credit report by GM Financial when the payment was in fact paid on time. For GM Financial Account # ************, the payment was due on 8/8/2022 and the payment was made on 9/6/2022 at 1:07 pm as confirmed by GM Financial customer service *********** was on day 29 when the payment was made and payments were made before 6 pm CST post the same day. Therefore this account should have never been reported late because it was paid on day 29 at 1:07 pm before the cutoff of 6 pm CST. Please remove the 30-day late payment that is reporting for the month of October 2022 and have it reflect as "paid as agreed - never late". I am being harmed financially please fix it ASAP.Business Response

Called GM to dispute the disposition fee waived never informed me it was waived and placed on my credit. I have been trying to get it removed from my credit in the wrong amount reported. I am rejecting this response because:They reported on my credit report *******. That is an inaccurate amount as they waived the disposition fee and I had to do the leg work to get that done as GM never followed up with me about purchasing a new GM vehicle. I would like the amount removed from my credit as it is an inaccurate balance. I will then arrange payment when it is removed for incorrect amount on my credit.

I am rejecting this response because:I am currently in a payment arrangement with GM for a lease turn in they originally reported the wrong amount which is why it went to collections in the first place. They are continuing to report it on my credit. I have already made two payments to date for this arrangement. They have severely damaged my credit score with this false amount that I was disputing now with the continuous past due reporting.

GM Financial dropped my credit score over 134 points. I tried telling them I had a heart angioplasty and after recovery I tried to pay online before past due. The account registration website was down that weekend. No one answered phones. And their virtual assistant did not take a payment. Because of this my credit is ruined, no late payments on cars ever before. I tried calling them and the reps treated me like dirt. Because of all this my little boy lost the house we were supposed to get. My lawyer said we could *** but I hold the company responsible and know they can turn this around before we have to do that.Business Response

My first complaint with GM financial is the poor customer service and lies I have been fed by their employees. ***** ******** and Madison ******** were both unpleasant and rude. ***** #***** lied to me and said there was no manager working and that I could not contact the legal department myself. However, the main issue is that my car was repossessed and I was told I needed approval from upper management. I was told it would take ***** hours and it has been over 72 hours and I have not received a response. It is Friday (1/27/2023) and if I do not get my car back today I will have to pay extra repossession fees over the weekend. The combination of stalling, lies, and rude customer service has been a deterrent to prevent me from receiving my car. I was also denied from even receiving the legal department's phone number.Business Response
