On June 26th of 2020, I needed bloodwork for my cardiologist. I went to the UTMB in League City Texas and the nurse stabbed me so hard with the needle my whole body jerked forward. After 5 weeks the pain was not getting any better so I called the hospital to complain and asked if they would just help me with the pain as I could do NOTHING with my left hand, of course the excuses came but Dahlia the person who took my case for the complaint dept. said if the doctor states the pain is due to the needle prick she will help me. By week 6 I had to go to the emergency room as I had not slept for 2 nights from the pain. They said I really needed to get an MRI to see whats going on in the hand. They also prescribed me something for pain and put my lower arm in a splint. My PCP at UTMB stated that the needle probably hit the nerves and the pain can get excruciating and it will take a long time to heal. However Dahlia kept changing what they needed in order to accept responsibility. She lied over and over about the doctors reports as I had seen a few doctors for this problem. (All agreeing the needle hit the nerve) Now Im spending money on bills and pills for the pain. Each time she would string me along , telling me a different story every time I called her, until finally after 6 months she says unless the "MRI shows they did it, they wont pay for any of my medical bills" I had no money to pay the 1400 for the MRI. That is my rent money right there. What kills me is that I wasnt asking for anything other than they pay my medical bills for treatment. For the next 6 months, I tried to get a lawyer but due to covid it proved difficult AND each of my family members including myself had been in the hospital for one reason or another. Finally I asked to speak to the hospital administrator and she (Bobby) was rude and said anything the complaint depts decides is final. The stress they caused me triggered my vertigo. My hand still has not healed completely after 2yrs
