I went to GameStop at *********************** to ***** cord for my MacBook and asked the black sales woman if GameStop carried the cord that I had with me. She said "no" and the man from ******* over talked her and said yes they did. Once I got home and opened the package it was not what I wanted. Upon today,6/11/24 in trying to return the item. The English salesman said that they can't return unopened items but he failed to mention it yesterday on 6/11/24 when he over talked the black lady. There are no visible signs posted anywhere in the store. He wanted to tell me about what people did years ago which had nothing to do with me. I want my refund back of $15.96. Worse customer service experience Ive ever had. My husband purchased a PS4 that said it would be here before Christmas. It was getting close so we called and they guy said that it hasnt left the warehouse yet and they shopping was backed up so I canceled the ordered and the guys said it would be refunded. Two weeks later it shows up to my house so it wasnt cancelled. I have been trying to return for 5 MONTHS. I have called over 20 times. They keep telling me they sent a fed ex label but I am not getting it nor is my husband. I asked that they sent it to both of us. Then I even provided a third email last time and Im still not receiving a label. They wont let me pay to return it or send the label to my mail since something in their system isnt working. Its an absolute joke. 5 months waiting for a label is insane. Today I called again and they said Im s*** out of luck if I dont get the label again once they resend. I have never dealt with such incompetence in my life. Management wont help either. They say the same thing.Review from Justin W

Spent over $400 on sportscards and they never arrived. Loss Prevention sent me a photo of location of delivery, which was not my home. Their response "call the police. We will not refund this order". Then, they turned off my ability to access my account and review the purchase. Absolutely deplorable customer service! I will never do business with GameStop again!Review from Al B

I ordered two games for my older son whose birthday is coming up: (1) Kingdom Come and (2) Metroid Prime. I received a ***** package yesterday that contained only the first game. The second game was missing. I contacted GameStop, and their immediate response was that they performed an "investigation" and concluded that ***** "delivered both games." I went back and forth with GameStop a few times explaining that while I received the ***** package, the package was missing the second game. GameStop customer service, which at some point appeared to be sending automated AI-style responses, repeatedly responded with the line that I need to contact ***** to file a claim because ***** confirmed that the order was delivered. How is ***** supposed to know whether there was one game or two games in the package? The fault is clearly with the GameStop store that shipped me one game instead of both games. The whole experience made me feel like I was dealing with an extremely shady company who was purposefully trying to pass the buck to the courier. Obviously, I contacted my credit card company and reported the fraud.Review from Kelly M

December of last year they changed their policy on end of year they were deleting points. I had over ****** pts. We used our point to keep our yearly subscriptions and to get the discount. I was never notified this policy was changing. They broke my heart. I have been with this company for over 20 yes. Friend's with the employee, not to mention all my memories with my boys videos Games we did together, . When they were in high school I would go to the midnight games releases wait in the line laughing cause I was the only mom. I got teased or told how cool I was. It was all in good fun. I was giving no opportunity to spend points before this policy change. Talked 2 company people through emails and was told it was done and they wouldn't or couldn't help me. I have a new Xbox x. I don't play anymore, I don't see the point. They made me cry with their poor customer service. They have no loyalty. My opinion doesn't matter for numbers but I wanted it out there.Review from Paige K

Ordered an Xbox for shipping to home. The website said 1-3 business days and the store didn't have the bundle in stock. It is past the promised shipment date and Gamestop customer service says that it was a warehouse issue, so at minimum I would have to wait another two days for them to submit a complaint to **** that takes 3-5 business days, and then after that, would have to wait 3-5 business days for them to process the refund or replacement. In short terms: minimum of two weeks to process just to get my money back. They refuse to do anything to assist as they claim that **** has the package, when they do not and have not acquired it. The most they can do is offer a $10 online-only coupon that cannot be used on nearly anything except brand new items. If I would have known, I would have purchased the more expensive console in store and had it days ago. I will never purchase anything from Gamestop ever again. I hate ******* but it's apparently better than Gamestop. It's not my local store's fault as everything was done online.Review from Jeremy F

Long time customer of ******************** but I just learned their online customer service offers little to no support. I had an item preordered online and was paid with a gift card that was cancelled due to the gift card balance being used up. When you preorder an item they do not take out the balance until the item arrives in their warehouse and I did not realize I had used the gift card on other purchases as it looked like there was more on the card. I also found out that if you have to change payment info for a card on a order then you cannot do that online or through customer service. Let's say you lose your card or it gets stolen so then your card info changes. Gamestop will not allow you to enter new information on online orders so your only options are to cancel the order and reorder. That would be fine except for items are sold out/unavailable and in that case Gamestop will not help you. Very disappointing and I hope I might help someone else see this so it does not happen to them.Review from Randy J

[Concord ***** Location]They sell fake products and try to **** them off as refurbished. On top of that the packaging isnt even labeled as refurbished. They are labeled as pre-owned which is not the same thing. I bought two joycons from them. One of them was fake(did not have the ******** insignia on it anywhere) and the other one seemed to be real but it was broken. Both of these were the same price. When I tried to take them back the employee would only take the broken one back. He wouldnt take the fake one due to it being past the return date. The return policy was 7 days and I was returning them on day 10 so technically both were past due date but when your selling fake and broken products I feel there should be an exception. When I spoke about the unfairness of the situation the employee called the cops on me instead of showing understanding towards my plight. I emailed corporate and nothing has come from it. I will no longer give Game Stop my business.Review from John B

Between store, corporate, and their own customer service number don't know their own refund policies. They quoted 9 days and 15 days on a return of a Xbox controller saying its a PC controller. Even though their receipt says for pro members hardware and software are returnable for 30 days. The instore employees didn't understand why they couldn't return it, but said they had to follow the policy. Twice I was told about their 9 day policy which isn't how their policy is written on their receipt. When I brought that to their attention and told them I would be reporting them to the *** for false advertising, their supervisor at their 1800 number he said go for it they didn't care and would look in to their receipt policy. They don't even know what they print on their receipts. I compared a few different receipts for different stores same policy at the bottom. I'll being taking my business somewhere else, 24 years of loyalty only worth a $165 controller to them. They say For Gamers, really means f*** Gamers. Even ******* has a better less confusing, less ridiculous return policy that they always honor. Hope it was worth it Gamestop, crooked greed leads to bankruptcy. Buy anywhere else.Review from Larry G

I bought a couple gift cards from GameStop and gave them to someone. Went to sell the games back to GameStop the guy looked through each and every game very carefully and then said he didn't buy them but I could donate them to him and he sends them to kids in a 3rd world country. Sounded like complete ******* so I said no thanks and left with my 4ft stack of games I said good money for them gift cards that bought them games a new system came out kids didn't play the old one tried to get some of my money back but the guy at GameStop really thought I was gonna donate them to his cause $$$ big gonna happen
