I walked into **** **** and was told by Just Energy representative, Johanna *****, that the base rate for the plan was 16 cents per kWh with night savings to bring it to 7 to 11 cents per kWh. My previous provider just called to tell me to double check and it is actually 24 cents per kWh with night savings. I dumbly trusted the word of mouth when I was signing at Sams because I trusted Sams to have good partnerships. I am asking to have them do a rescission of the contract back to my previous provider but they stated its not possible to do within 6 days and I would have to stay with them for 30-45 days.Just Energy Group, Inc.

They advertise that you can use online bill pay. Oct 10 I was not able to access the texas account login portal on my MacBook Air via safari or chrome. I was not able to via safari or Chrome on my iPhone either, or get the app to work. It also does not work on my desktop computer. I called and despite having restarting and redownloading apps as the rep suggested, it did not work still. Cookies have been cleared as well. I called back today Oct 21, today, and the first rep I spoke with said she experiences the same issues when paying her own bill with just energy - so it is a known problem within their company - as expressed by their own representative. She transferred me to a gentleman who was supposed to help but only told me that he checked and the website works fine and that there were no known reports of malfunctions - even though I reported this Oct 10. It doesnt work. plain and simple. on any device I have it does not work. Since the website/app does not allow me to pay my bill online as advertised I do not wish to continue to do business with them and would like to cancel without penalty. It's 2022, a functioning online website to pay bills is not an unreasonable standard.Just Energy Group, Inc.

I switched electricity providers to Just energy. Right after switching (and paying the $99 deposit) we found out we were going to have to move. I called and spoke with customer service and set up a transfer of service to our new address. Fast forward a little over a month and I never received a bill so I tried to set up my online account to see what was going on. The website tells me that my account number is not valid, so i call customer service. They proceed to tell me that because i did not pay and additional $99 deposit my service was cancelled. When i called to transfer service to our new address the representative never said I would have to pay another deposit for the new address. That just does not make sense to me at all. I paid the initial $99 deposit about 1 week before we made the call the transfer and I have to pay another $99 dollar deposit for a transfer? I didnt want a new account, all i wanted to do was transfer service to a new address. I have never had to pay another deposit for transferring service. Never got a notification that my service was cancelled either. But for some odd reason my lights were never disconnected? . I literally had no idea who I had electricity with One of the customer service reps i spoke with could not even answer my questions. All he said was this is what i see on my screen and thats just how it is. This is the weirdest and most frustrating situation.Just Energy Group, Inc.

Very disappointing, completely dishonest company. I was approached by a sales person while shopping in Sams Club. They lied about the gift cards, the low rates, they even enrolled me in a budget plan which I absolutely never asked for or agreed to. I thought I was paying my whole bill, I wasn’t which caused a major accumulation on my bill. I NEVER ASKED OR NEEDED TO BE ENROLLED IN ANY PLAN. Now I’m stuck to pay off this high bill balance. Do not trust company. They’ll just scam you out of your hard earned money.Just Energy Group, Inc.

1 starJust say no to Just Energy!! I was lied to at Sam's Club from the Just Energy Rep! I was told like everyone else how good the free nights program was and I showed him my TXU bill and he said I was going to save so much money... After receiving my first bill for only a half a month and it was higher than my entire month with TXU. So Around 2x higher to be exact! I then called in and complained about it and was told they would call me back with a resolution. Before I knew I had my next bill in and guess what it wasn't even a month and 2x as much. I then spent multiple hours of my life that I won't get back trying to resolve this. I went ahead and changed company's before I received another bill from them. I then received a letter from a collections company! So they sold my account instead of helping me. I'm now on my 3rd hour with Sam's Customer service and somehow keep getting disconnected when transferring me??Review fromHeidi E

I was stopped while shopping at Sam's club by one of Just energy's awful salespeople, I am a single disabled mother who barely is making it right now and the lady told me my bill would go down and I would receive gift cards if I switched. She said there were no fees and I would see my gas bill drop because their prices were cheaper then DTE. This woman seemed so genuine and even told me some of her personal family issues to gain my trust, how disgusting to play on people's emotions and lie through your teeth to con people into signing up! Within a week or so of signing up I got info in the mail from JE and DTE, as I compared the prices per kw JE is charging double what I currently pay! Everything this salesperson told me was a lie! I immediately called them to cancel the service that I was told wouldn't start until November (it's October right now) but I have no confirmation that service has actually been cancelled and since these people are so shady, liars and dishonest I am worried that they didn't cancel my account with them. I want nothing to do with this company and shame on Sam's club for allowing these sheisters to rip off their members!! Everything these people say is a lie and a scam to get you locked into a contract before realizing what they are up to, all I know is my account better be cancelled since I called and the rep said that it was otherwise I will be contacting an attorney! Just another company that has to rely on scamming and lying to get business!!Just Energy Group, Inc.

Do not sign up with this company. I was guaranteed rates and shown a contract to save money on my electric bill while shopping at ***** ****. First cycle in which they were my supplier, the bill was HIGHER than I ever had before. $120 for the month compared to my normal $75/80 range! Used the same level of electricity, and was promised to have a consistent flat rate! Do NOT sign up with them. They do not deliver on what they promise!Just Energy Group, Inc.

A salesman for JUST ENERGY came to my door promising my bill would be half of what it currently is. Said I would have NO FEES like my previous company. I wish I wouldn’t have switched because now Not only is my bill DOUBLE of what I was originally paying…. I have over $100 of fees on my account that aren’t valid! They’ve told me I tried to make over 500$ in payments in ONE DAY. And because there was “no account found” (makes no sense) now I have to pay the returned payment fees. Even though no payment was ever made because there was no bank account linked. I’ve called customer service I’ve put in complaints with PUC and nothing. Just energy says I’m responsible and if I don’t pay they will cut off my power. I have 3 children, one who is disabled. None of that matters. I’m furious because my bill is now over 600$ from fees (my usage is $199) and I just want out!!! I was conned into this and getting a representative on the phone is an all day task! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH JUST ENERGY IT IS A SCAM. I wish I would of read reviews first.Just Energy Group, Inc.

This is the worst energy provider in the state of Texas. They lie to get your account, the termination fee on their website is different than the one they actually charge. They have been over billing and making mistakes but a consumer has no protection. The consumer protection bureau does nothing to help consumers, the only option is to go to court but lawyers are so expensive so in the end customers pay to just Energy whatever they charge. Yesterday, I had an individual approach me while mowing my front yard. He said he was in the area trying to help people lower their electric bill (red flag, already). I told him I was locked into a contract and would not be switching. He then asked me to enter my name and email on his iPad so that he could at least send me their rates to compare if I were to change my mind (obviously, should have told him "No" but he was on my property and out of view of our camera, so I was trying to be non-conflictual). I was prompted to answer questions (that he answered "yes" for me). I specifically verified with him again that this was NOT signing me up for anything and he said, "correct this is just authorizing us to send you an email with our rates!" This morning, I received an email saying that they were completing my enrollment. I called to cancel, and the customer service kept giving me the run around and were doing everything in their power to keep me from cancelling. The lady continued to ask for more and more information about my current plan. After 15 minutes I was finally fed up and told her "I've told y'all countless times I am not changing. Cancel whatever scam this is and quit wasting my time." She finally cancelled but told me that the rep didn't set my plan to start until October 6th "for my benefit" so I would have time to cancel. In the email, If I didn't cancel within 3 business days, I would have to pay a cancellation fee of $175, despite the fact that I specifically told the sales rep I was not signing up for anything! He also stated that their rates were 16 cents a kWh but the email I received stated I was being enrolled for 18.9 cents a kWh for 60 Months. The rep even gave me a business card for a totally different company that sells solar panels. So, if someone from "Just Energy" approaches your door be cautious, because I would have been scammed of a lot of money if I never checked my email.Just Energy Group, Inc.
