I called the ********** telephone number to seek a good health plan. I talked to some lady and she explained the health policy to Me. She advised it was a good plan .I think with no deductible. She mentioned a health plan or provider I was familiar with. So I agreed. I got signed up starting in March of 2023 and canceled in September I believe. I got no information or health plan so I called them and they advised they were a true health company. I asked for health cards. They never came. So I had some health issues come up so I went to the doctor and gave them their information. Most of the doctors offices could not find them in the system they use. I called National Association of preferred provider s a few times and asked if they were a real company . They always said yes. I paid them almost 300 a month and they paid none of my bills. I have huge medical bills out there because of them. I feel like they tricked me and I feel that I should get a refund. I also complained about them before on here . They (national association of preferred providers ) responded and said it has been resolved with me. but it has not Been resolved. It was a lie. So I called them ***** and all the guy wanted was my complaint on the Bbb site.Initial Complaint

I was seeking medical coverage as a student in Arizona. My primary medical coverage is in California, but I wanted supplemental coverage for **** ******. I contacted what I thought was **** ****** member services, they said they were getting me assistance for Arizona plans. I explained my needs and they said they had a full plan with the normal co-pays in Arizona but that it would be a PPO option in AZ allowing me to go to any hospital or provider. He said he was an Anthem **** ****** employee, asked for my medical ID number, SSN, phone, email and credit card indicating the full plan matched my California benefits. He did repeat some information about my **** ****** coverage which seemed legitimate. Policy starts 8/12/22 but I only got a card with a bunch of phone numbers for 'discount services' using NAPP, MDLive, and PHCS. I could never access the member portal and didn't get the policy (said it would be in the portal). After researching, there are many complaints. I am concerned they are an identify fraud organization. I want my policy/membership cancelled as they are mis-leading and claiming to be Anthem. They charged me $385.45 on July 21, 2022 and plan on hitting my credit card monthly. There is no option to cancel. Please help. The ID card came in an envelope from Assoc Health Care Mgmt Inc, the lD cared statement has national Assoc of Preferred Providers and a 'Merit' card has the names of the companies noted. After looking at their site (which was not the same portal links they sent me to confirm my enrollment) and to which they never said they were anything but Anthem **** ****** I see they just have a site that has nothing on it that was described by the agent. If I new it wasn't Anthem I would have never participated in this. The ID they issued is ******** under a 'Merit Starter 2.0' plan that they didn't discuss (I would have suspected something was wrong). They say go to Multiplan.com for a provider and submit claims via mail Payor *********** ******Business response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.
The company is asking me to confirm by a link, and any link I have clicked on previously has led to a series of spam calls, spam messages from different domains (all of which are registered through non-credible resources). In addition, any time I call a phone number they provide, they block the number after I have spoken to an 'agent' who appears to have documentation about my family but yet you can never call that same number again. In addition, none of their phone numbers on their web site work. They will not provide an 'agent' full name or employee ID reference and no supervisors or managers are available, they hang up before you can speak to someone.I believe they should be reported to the FBI. I would also like to add the potential that they are an potentially an identity or medical insurance theft scam group.
Regards,
