      I have purchased a Garage from American Steel Carports, Installed November 1st 2023, the roof continues to leak since installation, they have been out once to fix it, worked for a week and then right back to leaking. They are impossible to get ahold of, wont return my calls. My roof continues to leak and they wont answer my calls.

      in July of 2023, I paid a deposit ($1,547) for a metal building with the balance ($14,758) to be paid on installation. Since then there has been constant and expensive troubles. First, the generic plans I was told would be okay with planning weren't acceptable, specific plans and engineering calculations were needed. I then paid $1,530 for those plans and calcs. This caused several months delay to get those documents and have planning accept them (along with more fees). The plans were confusing to my concrete installer. When clarification was sought, he (concrete guy) was told the wrong things, which led to the concrete pad being about 6-inches too long, which was discovered when delivery and install was attempted. The pad's top dimensions MUST be the same as the building perimeter (22' x 35'). After this was corrected, delivery and install was attempted again. This time ASI told the crew the wrong time, leading to a logistical mess; and more seriously they sent the crew out with the base pieces measuring 34' long instead of 35'. This should have been completed in September 2023 at the latest. Instead the latest failed install attempt was April 4, 2024. These repeated mistakes have cost me around $6000 in extra fees, extra construction costs, delays, and lost opportunities. I asked for a modest sum of $3500 to compensate me for these problems, all of which were entirely of ASI's creation. Instead of accepting this or making a counter-offer, ASI absolutely refused to accept any responsibility, save for the latest blunder.

      The building was completed and paid in full. During the final inspection there were 2 correction notices in which I can't get anyone to return to fix. I can't use or occupy building until it is finialed. Is it that difficult to get an answer from the engineer who **** up plans for the building? Or to get someone to return to s**** off purlins where they overlap

      I purchased a 30 x 60 American steel carport building for my business in fall of 2023. I have had two separate issues with the doors that were installed the latter issue resulted in the door completely falling off of its own hinges. I have been trying to have this fixed under the warranty to no avail. I have had two appointments that were either canceled at the last minute or no-shows. **************** is horrible and Im starting to feel like Im gonna be stuck with this problem.

      I bought this garage in April of 2023. It was installed in July of 2023. Within a month, the roof started leaking. They came back to fix it in December and now it leaks worse then ever and there are multiple leaks. I have a steel roof expert who says he can fix it. I am seeking compensation to pay for the repairs. I am afraid to have them come back to repair it again, because they just made it worse. I have also filled a complaint with the **** Attorney General in November. I bought the garage from *************** LLC, but they subcontract out to American Steel Carports. ***** said they will contact Amercian Steel Carports, but that is all they can do.

      I am rejecting this response because:  They did not come and fix the roof on January 31st they came in December and supposedly fixed it but the leak is worse and ever and now I have multiple leaks all over the garage. I have hired someone else who used to install these buildings and he says the roof was put on completely wrong and he is working to fix the problem.
      When it is fixed, I want the company to pay. because I do not trust them to come back and make repairs. When they were here a
      in December, all they did was make it worse.  I'm waiting for us to have a substantial rain to see if the problem is fixed.
      The person who worked on ******* was here on February 1st so I know there was no way that they were here on January 31st and if they were, they did not tell me they were coming and they did not fix the problem.

      They tried calling me today but I have no voice and I am at work from 7:15 AM until 6 o'clock at night and I work with kindergarten through second graders so I can't talk on the phone.  After that, I had a church service so I did not get home until 7:30 p m.  I work all day tomorrow too, but I will try to find time to call them if I have enough voice that they can actually understand me on the phone.  The only solution that will satisfy me is  them providing funds for me to fix my garage.  I do not trust them to do the work since they already were here once in December and made it worse.  Thank you.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      The only solution I am happy with is you paying for you to do the repairs.  I do not trust you to do the repairs.  You came once to fix a little leak and now it has a huge leak and the garage roof is leaking in multiple places.  You also cut metal off the bottom and now water comes in around it which was not occurring before you touched it.  I already have someone working on it.  I think it is fixed because it did not leak after the snowfall we had over the weekend.  I am waiting for it to rain tomorrow to be sure.  In a phone call, you stated the only other option was to come back and take the garage.  You can not do that.  I have spent thousands of dollar running electric, installing outlets and lighting on the interior and exterior of the garage.  I also spent several hundred dollars adding steps to the side door.  I have been very ill and I think the stress of this is getting to me.  My contactor is sending me a bill for the repairs.  It should be less than the initial money I requested.  I just want the repairs paid for and to be done with your company.

      I am rejecting this response because: The last time I heard from the company was February 16th.  They stated the only resolution would be for them to come back and work on the garage or to refund my money and take the garage back.  As I said  before, neither option is acceptable.  I just want them to pay $1000 I spent to have the roof fixed properly.  They cannot come back and take the garage down because I've spent thousands of dollars putting electric in the garage.  I received this message on February 21 and have not heard anything else from the company.

      This company works with third party problematic organizations that lie to consumers about the product availability and delivery time. The information initially provided for my estimated delivery of a garage assembly was changed and I was not notified upon signing. The third party Behr Buildings has a staff that is unprofessional and only responsive when I told them I needed to cancel my order when American Steel was not getting back to me. They are all working together to just take your funds and not give the consumers proper information regarding products purchased. I wouldn't recommend them. I'm still here waiting for a shipment date and now they refuse to cancel and issue me a refund. Go get yourself a container if you need a garage much cheaper and faster to get.

      I contacted American Steel Carports to build a barn for me. Two of the roll up doors have been hard to operate since day 1 and Ive tried to contact them to come out and look at them. I have called them multiple times as well as through email. Ive been in contact with someone that isnt involved in the service department who has said they have sent me messages on but to this day no one has come out or contacted me to schedule a look and repair/adjsutment. The barn was completed in June and I contacted them the first time in August and was told that the service manager would be in contact with me. I heard nothing and contacted them again in September and again heard nothing. Ive since been in contact with *********************** who works with the company but not in the service department as that is the only direct contact I have.

      On 5/25/2023, I contracted with Am Steel to construct a 60x30x14 garage with a 20 year warranty. There were a lot of issues prior to & during construction, but here are the current issues: door was not installed properly (steel was cut wider at top than bottom, making it hard to open the door), the building allowed rain to enter all around the base, upper portion of installed roof trim is bent, and a piece of wall trim was torn off during high winds despite the wind guarantee. I have tried by email and telephone to get resolution since mid-October to no avail. My husband has replaced the door and purchased/used FlexSeal around the base (inside and outside) to address the leak issue. We have spent about $500 plus my husband's labor to correct the issues. We have not been able to find the right red trim to replace the trim that was torn off. I have sent pictures of all the issues, but company refuses to contact me or address the issues.

      American Steel only contacted me last week and will supposedly show up Feb. 4, Sunday.  We'll see.  It shouldn't take five months for a company to contact a customer after being notified of a problem.  Seems I had to file a BBB complaint before they decided to contact me.

      I have contacted this office numerous times about a problem with the metal building that they built. One of the wall panels was improperly installed causing it to buckle during installation. I have sent pictures of the problem and they confirm they have received it. The pictures were sent October 23, 2023. As of this date no scheduled time or day has been established to correct the problem. I just want job completed.

They called me November 18th and said they would be here on Saturday December 2nd between 7:30 and 8:00 am. When they didn't come I called the ******** office and was told they were delayed and would be here between 3 and 5 pm. They never came.

      There is an amount that has been disputed/discounted by the customer. We believe it is the amount the locksmith charged the customer. So essentially the customer may have already been reimbursed. **************** will contact the customer tomorrow to verify.

      Im of the many emails I have sent with no response. This sums up issue week. At what point is an inconvenience refund offered. It is now been nine weeks since placing my order and I still do not have a usable building. I opted to go with American steel carports because the reviews of amazing customer service. I have not experienced that at all. I chose American steel carports because the leadtime on installation was 2 to 4 weeks compared to the 8 to 10 weeks from your competitors. And we are now at nine weeks with no use of our building. I chose to pay $1700 more than your competitor for the same product to be able to experience the great customer service and speedy lead times. Neither have meet even a fraction of what I had hoped for. Countless phone calls, never replied to or returned. Extremely disappointed.Back story I understand that leveling is on the purchaser. I believe that the site was level within the allowance. I used strings to map it out and it appeared to be level with in 2-4 inches. The crew was scheduled to install it Friday 9-22-23 they showed up Thursday 9-21-23 with no warning. Leaving only my 15 YO son home. As they built the structure they clearly found the ground was much less level than I believed. 8 inches off on one side. They went around and found bricks and blocks to put under the sides not touching the ground. If they would have came at the scheduled time I would have denied the build and worked to level the building site. In addition they did not fallow the contract and placed a frame out in the wrong location making the design of the building unusable till it is corrected. The communication with this company is terrible and the staff is less than friendly once a problem has accrued. I dont understand how a mistake in their part does not make the repair top priority for them. But that is not the case. I hope this can be resolved and look forward to making a response on the outcome of the repair/refund!
