      I started an inquiry in December 2024 for information on my life insurance policies. I have 4 with this company. I needed information to update and satisfy a court order that was part of my divorce. As much time went on, I had to purchase a new policy from another company to clear up my original issue. To date, I still have no good answers from the two representatives that I could reach. The main number is never answered other than to ask you to hold. Today I held for 35 minutes. Although an email on 11/30/2024 stated that all was taken care of, I was charged again for the two policies that I asked to cancel last month. The big issue is that I cannot make contact with this company, and they are taking funds that are not authorized payments anymore. Furthermore, they owe me funds from the cancelled policies

      We would like to thank Mr. ***** for reaching out to our office regarding this matter.  Policies ******** & ******** were cancelled as on March 5th, 2025 upon reception of the written cancellation request.  Policy ******** was surrendered and a check in the amount of $2,915.89 was mailed to Mr. ***** on March 5th, 2025.  Policy ******** was surrendered and a check in the amount of $117.54 was mailed to Mr. ***** on March 5th, 2025.  Neither check has cleared our account as on March 21st, 2025.  Please see the attached cancellation'surrender letters with checks attached as well as screenshots of our internal notes reflecting the checks being issued.  Please let our office know if we can be of further assistance.

      This is a life insurance policy that was canceled. They are not sending the money back that is owed to us. They keep saying its in the mail. This started in October and it is now well passed. They have lied over and over again. I have sent them everything they want the money was to be directly deposited they claim to have sent a check. Its yet to be received.

      Hi I'm ***** ******** I'm contacting you concerning a company called American insurance life, back in September 9, 2020 I was contacted by an agent name ****** from this company by a text message saying that my brother had got me a $2000.00 dollar life policy. now fast forward to November 2024 I lost my brother to cancer and when I called this company about the policy they lied to me and told me that the policy was not sign and that made it invalid then I contacted him again on March ****** and I explained to him that he was wrong, then he tried to get me to sign something that would change the policy over in my name at no cost to me.

      I purchased a whole life policy through American Income Life in 2012. I bought this policy because I trusted my union ***** had vetted this company and they were reliable. The *** representative who sold me this policy specifically said that I could make changes if I experienced changing life/family circumstances. Sadly, my experience with AIL is that they give you the run around when you try to do so. When I purchased my policy in 2012, I was a fairly new homeowner with a large mortgage, so I purchased a policy that would pay off my mortgage in addition to giving my family $15,000 cash. In December 2024, I sold my home and moved into a property that is mortgage free. I notified AIL by certified letter in January of this sale and that I know longer needed that particular piece of coverage. On January 29, I placed a follow-up call and confirmed that my letter had been received and the change I requested was being made. My original premium was $77.07. I asked what my new premium would be after the change and was told it would now be $26.54. On February 21, AIL deducted $77.07 from my bank account instead of $26.54. Had I died on February 21, my beneficiaries would not have been able to file a claim to have my now nonexistent mortgage paid off nor would they have been paid a lump sum of cash equalling what would have gone to pay off my mortgage. So why is AIL still charging me for benefits they know theyre not going to pay out at my death? I logged into my online AIL account this morning, March 6, and am still not seeing that the change I requested has been made or that my premium has been lowered. I would like for the change I requested to be made, for my new premium to go into effect, and to be refunded the amount that Ive been overcharged. I dont believe that AIL will do any of these things without outside pressure from watch dogs. Thank you BBB for your assistance.

      I have reviewed the business response and accept this resolution. I've checked my pending insurance payment and have confirmed that my premium is now the correct amount. I have not received my refund but trust that will happen. If not, I'll be reaching back out to the BBB for help.

      on or around february 14 2025 ******* ****** called me on my cell phone a to let me know that one of the insurence policies was available for a advancement of 40 thousand dollars. i have two policies with this ************************* ****** said to me that it will cost about ***** per month and we agreed to have it taken out on the 20th of each month. well long story short it was all a lie he gave me a 20 thousand insurence policy that cost 77 a month and i am not available advancement for 4 years according to their customer service. i have been with this ********************** for years now wand they call tro lie to get more money. i cant reach him by phone i left several messages now after calling me several times a day up to and past 9p he cant return my calls . this company really is a disappointment and lies to their customers. i am a widow raising 3 medical kids. for him to lie this way showes how much the compay dont care and only want money

      I've told this company over 8 times that I'm not interested in their insurance and they continue to call and show up at my home. it's harassment to the fullest!! the last person to come by my home was **** ********.

      I have been having a hard time dealing with American Income life. I listed that I have aphasia and cant speak. Weve been playing games getting my account closed and me getting the cash buyout. I am getting frustrated. I have let the company know. They have not acknowledged me or this issue. I feel that they may be discriminating against me because of my lack of speech.

      I was first contacted by *** before on December 20th, 2024. Since then I have been harassed with phone calls and text messages, switching from the original agent. I was first contacted by the second ****** "***** ****", on December 30th, 2024, stating that someone I loosely know gave them my information, by both phone calls and text messages. Over the course of the next 10 days, I recieved 17 calls, and four text messages, one of which threatened continue harrassment, stating "Hello- I've been reaching out to you to get you your benefits activated and haven't heard back. Your benefits are ready to go over, and if we can't find a good time to meet they will expire. I don't want to keep calling and I'm sure you don't want to keep getting calls, so do you : 1) want the benefits 2) don't want the benefits 3) need more information because you're confused Please let me know either way" After which I recieved 5 more calls prior to blocking the number on Janruary 9th, 2025.I enrolled in the FTC's Do Not Call registry on Janurary 6th, 2025, and have since been called and texted by "****** *******" today, March 3rd, 2025, with two phone calls and one text message.

      I am constantly getting calls for a ******. I have informed them multiple times that I am not ******, nor do I know a ******, and at no time in the last 16 years has this number been associated with a ******. I have asked them to stop calling each time I speak with them, but they continue to do so and inform me that it is because the matter is important.

      A gentleman from this company, Pilip Pavov, called me persistently. He told me he was calling to verify my beneficiaries on my policy. My ex-husband was still on there so I updated it and gave him several family members. At the end he told me he was going to call them all to explain what to do in the event of my death. I told him not to do that and that I would make note of my policy info in my documents. I told them that if he was going to call my beneficiaries he could just take their name off and cancel my policy. He assured me he would not do this. Sure enough, I got messages from family members that he was calling them asking to set up a meeting and sell them insurance. I am certain that not only is this highly inappropriate, this is also illegal to steal peoples phone numbers from other peoples life insurance policies. I am a veteran and this is a life insurance policy I have through the American Legion.
