      I'm not sure how I would go about getting an exchange or a refund, as this is what I would mostly prefer and I should still be covered under their 1 year warranty. I feel this company is not being fully honest about the condition of their refurbished computers. I purchased my computer in January 2024 and by February 2024, I was already having issues with it crashing and the date and time being wrong. They sent a new CMOS battery which then messed up the computer again, and they walked me through how to fix it from the **** screen. This worked for another couple of months, but my computer started to crash again and go to the blue screen of death; this happens at least 2 times per day, and my date and time are wrong again. I've followed everything they recommended by updating my computer and all drivers, but I still have the issue. I emailed them again in June and have not heard anything since. Attached are screenshots of myself emailing them about this issues from February and again in June, as well as a screenshot of the blue screen that keeps happening everyday. I'm very upset because I spent around $370 for a computer that can barely be used and it's only lasted me about 6 months.

      I purchased an item not even 24 hours ago. After looking at the total cost including the shipping fee of $60, I realized Id be paying more in comparison to a brand new item! I tried cancelling immediately.. but recently was told they only do store credit instead of money refunds. This is UNETHICAL to the core considering that my item hasnt even left their warehouse yet but yet they want to give me store credit and on top of that take away 15% for restocking fee. I dont believe this company should be running with these types of polices. You better believe Ill be reaching out to the ************************ as well if my money isnt refunded within 12 hours.

For cancelations, we can refund, as long as the order was canceled within 4 hours from the time the order was placed. As a courtesy, we made a one-time exception and have canceled and refunded your order.

      Bought a computer and returned it as it would continually shut down and we couldn't fix the problem. We are being charged for a re-stocking fee on what was a defective item, and furthermore told we would not be refunded and our only choice was to buy from them again! Additionally there was no paperwork shown to us that defined this policy. Regardless, if they're doing this to customers, it constitutes illegal business practices and will *** if necessary.

When an item is detective, we do not offer store credit and charge a restocking fee, we repair or replace the computer under warranty. Your computer is covered under our 1-year parts and labor warranty. This return should have been handled as a warranty repair, not a return for store credit.       I am rejecting this response because: Discount Electronics never once offered to repair the computer and we suspect that they are passing off broken items to as many consumers as they can get away with. There is no logical reason why they couldn't refund all our money as they received the computer in the shape it was sent to us. This cannot be an isolated occurrence and is remarkably shady on their part. We trusted them and are continuing to get burned, from what we must presume to be, a fake company in *****. I'm a Senior Citizen on a limited fixed income, and cannot afford these trials and errors. How many others are being duped by Discount Electronics? I will write to the State Attorney Generals of both ***** and ******** to get satisfaction if necessary as this situation comprises FRAUDULENT Interstate Commerce.

      Thank you for your efforts on behalf of honest customers. These rip-offs have to stop.

      3/11/2024 purchased 3/25/2024 returned I was never notified that they do not accept returns when i asked for a return via email. I was sent return label but no comment that returns not accepted. I spoke to their office on 4/4/2024 and was informed they should have told be that no returns only credit in store. Due to our home being damaged and on fixed income I can no longer afford this purchase as to many other bills to from damage insurance will not cover. I cannot afford it! I am 69 years old health issues and now damage issues. I was told no exceptions. I am also disputing on my credit card bill

      We are sorry to hear that you are going through this trouble. I would like to clarify a couple of things. We do accept returns, but our return policy is only for store credit. Our warranty does not cover water damage, but we are willing to work with you on that. Our technicians went through the laptop when it was returned and found no signs of water damage and the laptop is functioning properly. We can still go ahead and send a replacement laptop out to you or issue store credit. When there is an error on our part, sometimes, we can make exceptions. We're sorry, but since this return was through no fault of our own, we cannot issue a refund in this case.

      DE hides their return policy in a link at the bottom of the page, instead of being up-front with customers that their only remedy after placing an order is repair, exchange, or store credit. NO REFUNDS! Who would purchase refurbished electronics site-unseen, if they knew they'd never get their money back? They display their 1 year warranty within each product description (no mention of customer-paid shipping), but not their return policy. I placed an order with DE for a refurbished laptop over the internet on the morning of 1/10/24. The same afternoon I called to cancel the order, at 4:15 pm CST. I was told that the product had been shipped and I could return it upon receipt. The next morning I called them again to ask why the product was shipped so quickly, when their website said that orders placed ship the next day. At that point I thought I'd only have to pay shipping expenses to ship it back. It was then that I was told about their store credit return policy instead of a refund. I emphatically told them that I did not want the item and that I could not use their store credit because I had no need for electronics purchased over the internet that could not be returned for a refund. They continue to stand behind their no refund policy, even though I NEVER EVEN RECEIVED THE ***** The shipment tracking code I received shows that the shipment ticket was created at 2:53 pm on 1/10. The package did not arrive at ***** until 5:28 pm on 1/10. My call to cancel the order was at 4:15 pm. (All CST) DE had the option to cancel the shipment after my call as easily as the order they put in for the product to be returned to them when it arrived at my local ***** warehouse. (Tracking # detail attached) I never received the item. I do not want the item. I don't want to do any business with this company. I just want my $250.00 refunded. They should change their return policy, or clearly display it in the product description.

      We apologize for any confusion. But our return policy is located at the bottom of our website just like any other website.

      The bottom of the website is commonly where links to return polices are placed. 

      There are other websites that have a no-refund policy. 

      The item was not delivered because the recipient canceled the shipment by request. 

      It is okay to cancel a shipment, but our return policy is still for store credit. 

      As a courtesy, we did waive the restocking fee and issued full store credit. 

      I see in our notes that the reason for the cancelation is that the recipient had already ordered another computer elsewhere. 

       Although we can make exceptions for refunds under certain situations, this would not be a situation we could make an exception for, unless the other computer was purchased from our website. 

      Because the return was of no fault on our end, We're sorry, but we will need to stand behind our return policy.

      I purchased a used computer on 11/27/2023 for $319.60, the item arrive *** 12/1/2023 completely scratched and useless. I reach out to customer service and they ***'t provide a refund or exchange when they know is a piece of trash used equipment that they are selling as a refurbished unit. They are clearly misleading customer with photos and description that is not accurate. Then, they lie about the warranty or the replacement process. This company is stealing from customer and needs to be held responsible.

      I am rejecting this response because the item does not have light scratches but really big scvratches even scratches on the screen which makes the item useless and damaged. The offer a $30 credit like an insult. Also the photos on the item advertised was not the photos from the actual item which shows that they are deceivinbg the clients so they are unable to do an inform purchased. ***** the unit has water damaged on the base, whioch part of the description shows that?

      I am rejecting this response because:

      I ask for a replacement or a refund and they declined as showed on copy of attached email because they justified the sale as good because they sad they mention the unit had light scratches when in reality they where big scratches including scratches in the screen, also they never mention the  water damaged on the vase of the unit as showed in the previous pictures i provided. Also on the second attachment you can see the only offered a $30 store credit. When I spoke to their customer service they said no refund only an store credit with a 15% restocking fee but even then they didn't want the unit returned. This company is deceiving and untrustworthy and I am not the only one who got scam by them, you can see multiple reports online about their deceiving sales model. The only resolution I want is a full refund because this company can not be trusted and they are taking customers money selling damaged equipment and never taken responsibility for their actions.

      I ordered a set from discount electronics around Labor Day 2023 for a hp laptop, docking station, and monitor bundle. When it got to me I immediately tried hooking it up only to discover the ports on ALL merchandise sent to me wont connect. Hdmi, display ports etc were useless and non functioning on the monitor, docking station, and laptop. There was no display on the monitor unless we tried a special cable we already had. So whatever they sold me I HIGHLY doubt they even tested to be sure could connect and/or they KNOWINGLY sent me faulty equipment. Now to mention their sneaky return policy that doesnt allow you to ever see your money again in your bank account- even when they have sent you bogus products. FRAUD! am beyond disgusted I paid almost $450 for junk!!! I am sending them these products at their shipping expense (only cuz I was within 14 days) and they say will exchange (no telling if it will be the equivalent to what I paid or there wont be problems with this new equipment.) Honestly I would prefer my money back and have 0 trust in this company. Once the faulty products are with DE they say theyll determine if any defects and will do what they want within their discretion about reimbursement/exchange SO i hope this company steps up from their mistake and makes this right!!! I will update when this is resolved correctly. Refurbished equipment shouldnt be so bad!! I deserve a refund to my bank account if the next set doesnt work either or well have a big problem.

      We apologize that someone did not properly troubleshoot this issue for you. There is a setting in the **** on that laptop that has to be enabled for the Thunderbolt docking station to work. 

      If I would have been been made aware of your initial complaint, I could have easily solved that issue for you. 

      I see that the items have now been returned and a store credit of 379.95 has been issued.
