The process to try and ship a vehicle to a new duty station for military personnel is horrible! There has been hoop after hoop to jump through even after submitting all required documents numerous times to no avail. Once we either pay off or sell this vehicle we will never use Toyota motor corp again.

I wish I could leave negative stars. ********. I have only been financing with Toyota Financial Services for a year and I am now out of pocket over $700 over two separate instances. And to read the other reviews and seeing very similar situations with other people has made me feel worse. My dealership purchased my car back from us. Then when the next payment was due, Toyota TOOK the monthly payment. I called several times demanding my refund. They said "it was mailed" over three times, then it was lost in their refund department. THEN finally, "we sent it, it was cashed by someone, so now it's out of our hands" basically that it was stolen out of my mailbox and cashed. I am starting to think the workers themselves are doing it especially considering I could hear my customer service agent smoking (not a cigarette) as she helped. Even holding the smoke in. I am going to find out how we can start a lawsuit for monies owed. This is horrible. This is only one instance.

February 26, 2025 BBB Case#******* ******** ********* This is in response to the review submitted by Ms. ******** ********* against Toyota Motor Credit Corporation (TMCC), regarding an overpayment after paid in ******* is important to know our Pay Online feature is a customer-controlled payment method and payments are debited as authorized by our customer online. Our records reflect that on August 23, 2024, Ms. ********* successfully logged into our Toyota website and schedule a one-time payment for $375.00, using the bank account number ending with *** 1941. This payment was processed with the effective date of August 30, 2024.Additionally, on August 28, 2024, **** **** Toyota Country (dealership), remitted the full payoff for Ms. ********* TFS account. However, the one-time schedule online was not canceled before the dealership submitted the payoff. As a result, on September 17, 2024, TMCC/TFS issued a refund check for $375.00. Since the check has already been issued and cashed, we are unable to reissue a replacement check. **** strives for excellence in its customer satisfaction; we recognize that this is not the resolution Ms. ********* was seeking but hope that it provides adequate explanation of the resolution available. February 21, 2025 Review ID: ******* Contact Name: ******** *. The **************** of Toyota Financial Services (TFS) is in receipt of the review submitted by ******** *., regarding their dissatisfaction with Toyota Financial Services (TFS).It is important to understand that Toyota Financial Services relationship to any dealer is that of a financing source, similar to a credit union or a bank, and the dealership is an independent business entity over which *** has no control. Additionally, Toyota Financial Services is an indirect lender that accepts assignment of retail installment contracts from its dealers. Our contracts comply with all applicable laws and are sufficient under state and federal laws.*** is not involved in the negotiation process between customers and the dealership and relies on the terms and conditions that appear in the written contract, including interest rates and any down payments. We have confirmed that there have not been any acts of fraud committed by us.Please know that Toyota Financial Services strives for excellence in customer satisfaction. Thank you for your response dated February 21, 2025.Your reply attempts to redirect accountability by stating that Toyota Financial Services (TFS) is merely an indirect lender and not responsible for dealership actions. However, this does not address the core concern: the alleged unauthorized access and use of customers trust or Social Security related accounts to fund vehicle purchases, while simultaneously charging interest and monthly payments effectively resulting in double payment.Whether directly or through third-party dealers, *** assumes responsibility when it accepts assignment of contracts and proceeds to collect payments from consumers. As the assignee and servicing entity, TFS is obligated to ensure transparency and lawful processing of funds. Simply citing compliance with general applicable laws does not negate potential wrongdoing or shield your institution from scrutiny. The question remains:If vehicles are paid in full through access to consumer trust accounts, why are customers then obligated to make loan payments and interest payments as if the vehicle has not already been paid for?Your response also does not address the demand for a complete accounting of how any funds related to consumer trust or Social Security-based accounts are accessed, allocated, or recorded in your system. This is a call for transparency and accountability not a deflection of responsibility.TFS may wish to reconsider its approach, as growing numbers of consumers are becoming aware of these financial practices and are prepared to take legal and public actions to seek restitution, full disclosure, and justice. The request for cease and desist still stands.

If I could give negative stars to this company I would. I returned a lease almost 4 months ago paying out the closing balance and the customer agent told me I was all good. I find out 3 weeks later they sent bad reports to the credit agencies saying I never made final payments. Now after 14 phone calls over these 4 month they inform me there is nothing they can do except for me to MAIL in a letter that will take ***** days to get a response. I am actively trying to buy a home and this is the only blemish on my credit scores. They have refused to help me in any manner that doesnt require more effort on my part for their wrong doing. This has already cost me hours of time and stress and will soon cost me thousands of dollars with my interest rates being affected on my home. I never knew that Toyota would punish people this hard for returning one of their vehicles in excellent condition and 8k miles under my allotment.

When were the derogatory remarks removed from my account? I have evidence from lenders and Toyota financial in a letter stating that you incorrectly labeled my closed account. I am also still waiting on the prepaid letter that the Toyota financial said they would send me to hand write a dispute since I am not allowed to talk to the credit reporting department at Toyota financial. If you really did care about my account since I returned the car ***** miles under the agreement while making all the payments early and in full you should at least look into the credit agencies on your end and correct the error.

Horrible, incompetent service. I had a title with no lien on it and I still had a loan. When I called on December 2, 2024 and man named ****** said he would send me a lien release. I told him thats wasnt what I needed, I hadnt paid off the vehicle. He told me that Toyota could not put the lien on my title. So what happened was I got another title ordered by *** that still didnt have Toyota as the lien holder. Somewhere in their system they did have my title with the lien on it, but I guess ****** never looked that far. ****** then took the lien off after our conversation. I never got a lien release as well, which they just told me today was sent to **** have gone through so many people who have misinformed me saying that it wasnt possible to put Toyota on the title, even talking to the resolution people. I called the title department in ********* and they said that absolutely Toyota can put themselves on the title if they fill out an MV900.This process is still going on and even with a case number nobody knows whats going on. I spoke to someone today after many explanations got me an answer. Its in ****** being processed but I cant have the title sent to me, which is what I was told. Yet another lie, or misinformation. This has held me up for over two months and I needed to sell that vehicle for a while now.I love my Toyotas but I will never buy another one, ever!

Urgent Assistance Required Regarding Credit Reporting Issues Dear Toyota Financial Services,I deeply appreciated your "excellent service" during the course of my loan repayment. However, since completing the payoff of my vehicle, I have encountered significant issues related to inaccurate reporting on my credit report. These discrepancies have caused severe damage to my credit score, impacting my ability to progress in critical areas of my life, such as purchasing a home, supporting my family.Despite multiple attempts to resolve this matter through TFS CSR the issue remains unresolved. I have been assured on several occasions that the incorrect reporting would be corrected immediately, yet my account still reflects "closed" rather than "paid as agreed." These repeated assurances, without follow-through, have only exacerbated my frustration. When you see closed on a credit report, you automatically think the account was closed and not paid.I have also been directed to contact credit bureaus by ***, such as Experian, to dispute the inaccuracies. However, I firmly believe it is ***'s responsibility to address and correct these errors directly, as the reporting originates from your *************** loan account details, the *** #4T1BF1F6HU280965, is provided for your reference. Throughout my loan term, I consistently communicated with TFS.. maintaining my obligations. It is disheartening to face such challenges now, despite having fulfilled my responsibilities as a customer; but most important it was completed.I have also submitted written correspondence requesting ******************* adjustments, yet no resolution has been offered. I kindly request your immediate attention to this matter and a clear explanation of why my account reflects "closed" rather than "paid in full."Thank you for addressing this issue promptly. I look forward to a resolution that restores the accuracy of my credit reporting and my trust in TFS.Sincerely,D G

Even though my car was paid off with Toyota, over 2 or 3 years ago, Toyota put all negative information on my credit. which has led to me having an extremely hard time trying to get credit for anything, I feel that Toyota Financial Services does not truly care about their customers. Why would you put all negative items on my credit when I paid off your vehicle, and it is now mine, but now my life has been ruined because of Toyota. I wanted to purchase another car from them, but now since I know Toyota is the main culprit behind me having a tough time getting anything approved due to them, I no longer want to do any type of business with them.
