      This company calls multiple times a day , every day about my "high interest rates". They use a different number (with an area code that matches mine) and they hang up really fast when you start to say you aren't interested, I'm assuming to avoid you saying remove me from your list so they can continue to call and harass you. I've blocked them over and over but they are vultures. Not a good look and will face many lawsuits for harassment if they continue this practice. Absolutely desperate for business. BEWARE!!

      Horrible company! I signed up with this company to get debt free before I retired. I had several cards for them to help me settle. I gave them $540.00 per month for over 3 years. I paid more in fees to them then they paid to settle my accounts, over $19,000. The card companies got less than their fair share to settle. At the end of the three years they wanted me to extend and continue to give them $540.00 to settle the last two accounts which I refused. They use another company who holds your money until they settle a card. There was over $4000 in this account that they were to settle the last two accounts. I called once a month to get the status and was told it was still being worked on. (6 months) Today, I finally got the name of a person who was settling my accounts, whom works for a different company. I called this person and was told nothing had been done because the power of attorney had expired. Really? They would be happy to email me a power of attorney to sign. Are you kidding me? I canceled my account with UDC and finally got a call from someone in Denver saying they cancelled my account, and they were aware I was taking the $4000 out of the second company. DO NOT get involved with this company.

      Thank you for reaching out so we could look into your account. As you know from us having settled debt for existing credit cards, we have to accrue at least 40% of the outstanding card balance in order to approach the creditor with a settlement offer. The approximately $4000 in your account was being saved for that purpose. Due to the rules in the industry, a third party company holds your funds while you save money. We have hired a new team (who you talked to) to help our customers settle debts. It is just a miscommunication that your power of attorney expired. We apologize for the miscommunication. We have settled accounts on your behalf at a significant savings to you. You were refunded $1600 from your account and there is $4385.55 that is being processed now that you have cancelled your account. We apologize for the miscommunication about the power of attorney form. We are glad we were able to settle some of your debts. Please look for the refund check in the mail in the next week, and if you do not receive it, please reach out to GCS directly or email ************@udcamerica.com. Thank you!

      First, I did not receive any refund of $1600. You are referring to a settlement agreement I made with Chase per your advice and you sent me &1600 to pay them. No legal advice was given to me regarding the settlement of Chase and I had to pay $655.00 to the IRS. So, if you want to call that a refund then you are worse than I thought. How can you "hand off" my account to yet another company and not inform me. UDC is a shady business with no customer service and no Web site to track an account. I would not recommend your company to my worst enemy. BB rating tells it all!!

      Thank you for clarifying about the $1600. You are correct that it was used to pay your accrued debts, which is also what you were accruing the remaining funds for. Debt settlement is a hard and frustrating process-- having debt is also stressful making the whole situation very difficult. Again, we apologize for the miscommunication about the power of attorney form. Hopefully you have received the check refunding the balance in the account. We are not 'handing off" your account to another company-- we have a lot of people needing debt settlement like yourself and have engaged experts to help us meet our clients' needs.
