I filed a claim with Gainsco on 8/22 after one of their insured drivers turned in front of my son, hitting his truck. On 8/26 Gainsco said they will accept the claim and coordinated a rental through Enterprise. I've never received an email confirmation of accepting the claim or been provided with a link to track the progress of the claim. Nothing. The adjuster never answers and takes days before returning a call to ask the progress of the claim. I took it upon myself to find out that the truck was finally picked up from the tow yard and is now with ******. It's been three weeks and we have no indication of how they plan to resolve this claim, repair or total the truck. At the very LEAST, I'd like some clear communication about what the timeline is and where we are in the process and what the next steps might be.Business response

I have called in several times and put in two escalations for a supervisor and or manger to return my call concerning claim number ga-******. It has been a month, and I am continuously getting the round around from both the adjuster and the insurance adjuster working the case.I have emails showing the documentation of all the details concerning the claim and I am demanding a response from supervisor and or manager for this claim. If I dont get a reponse I will contact the department of insurance.Initial Complaint

Gainsco had offered a settlement for an insurance claim. After initially rejected, they have never returned a phone call, refused request to speak to a manager, refused to resend the settlement offer and have ignored any contact.Business response

I ******************************* haven't received a refund for the amount of $141.09 that was owed to me. I contact business at the beginning of this month to inquire about the payment and it feels like I'm going get the run around trying get was owed to. We had insurance for several years through Fair Insurance, Agent ***************************. One month, we were charged twice and only refunded a partial amount of what was due to be refunded. I tried to contact agent and she continuously said she would fix it. She never did. We found a new insurance company for much cheaper that had to personally deliver our information so that she would cancel our insurance before we were charged again. We communicated with her and she said it would be canceled. We paid for two different insurance companies that one month because she would not cancel our policy. We did a stop payment on that account, knowing how she is, and now we have a debt collection bill for almost $180. She was a terrible agent and the company never refunded our original double automatic payment. Now our credit is at stake and she will not reply to us and Gainsco is nowhere to be found.Business response

I have been with GAINSCO insurance company since October I have had issues with this company for the last 4 months about my payments. In April there was a payment taken from a card that was not on file and was not authorized. There was no apology or anything. My policy was canceled after a payment was made I called to find out why the person I spoke with was very rude. This company I would never recommend to anyone and looking at the reviews I should have read first. This company needs to be on investigation.Business response

I was "supposedly" insured for full coverage auto insurance with this company and I was in an accident 3 weeks ago with another lady it was not my fault and this insurance company has done nothing but s**** me and hasnt fought on my behalf at all hasnt even given me a rental tried to tell me I wasn't even covered for the first 2 weeks and thank God I had my receipts to prove otherwise, they are not working with me and ****** is such an ignorant and arrogant person I do NOT understand how she even has a job with them. It's sad and im getting justice whether they like it or not!! Im going to the media if I have to and will get all the coverage I possibly can regarding this matter! I want help.Business response

I paid IN FULL for 6 months of auto insurance with Experian as the agent and gainsco as the provider. Around December I called to clear up an issue of home ownership discount they claimed I needed to prove or have my policy canceled, they then proceeded to say I needed to prove past insurance (mentioning nothing of home ownership). Fast forward to april and they again tried to extort money from me about the insurance which I provided and they did not accept it. They canceled my policy, i paid to reinstate it. April 9th I called in around 5-6 pm when I got back to work office and saw my truck had been damaged in a hail storm. I called made a claim and was told they would get back with me, they never did. Come to find out they canceled my policy again hours before I was able to make my claim. They are now sending me to collections all when I had already PAID IN FULL!! Gainsco and ******** both said the other one canceled me, which leads me to believe they are conspired to defraud me. I was able to get ahold of the CEO who acted like he cared at first but obviously doesnt because he had a lady call me and tell me they werent going to do anything about it. And that I didnt pay their (extortion) discount, I PAID IN FULLLLLLLLLLLLL!! ******************************* CEO and gainsco were not acting in good faith and I believe conspired with Experian to defraud and extort money from me.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: ******** acted in bad faith and never fully explained my policy or supposed discounts and stipulations. They also comspired with and sent me back and forth to the agent - Experian to extort more money from me. How do you get sent to collections for a PREPAID 6 month policy!!!! These men and women including and under ******************************* are criminals. Ill be having a meeting with Texas Attorney General about this, CFPB, FTC, FDIC and any news channel ************************************** Nextdoor every marketing avenue I can think of. Ill also make this a personal mission to be a voice for the voiceless and call you out on my new ******* channel keep an eye out. UT-****** On March 27 2024 my car was hit in an accident by a gainsco driver. The driver was at fault. I even have it on dash cam and provided them with the video. For months I've been trying to reach gainsco to get my car fixed or paid for so I can buy another one. It's now June 10 2024. I can't ever get ahold of the adjuster. When I do I get the run around. They sent out someone to inspect my car months ago. They don't give me any info on what the estimate was or if the repairs would cost more than my car is worth. This is a last ditch effort short of hiring an attorney to get this resolved. I've been given number after number to call. I've been given the adjuster supervisor number but the supervisor doesn't answer either. They say they'll call but never do. Any advice on what else I can do would be appreciated.Business response
