I recently purchased a Bloomfield home in August 2023 and I have had to place over five warranty issues. There have been so many deficiencies that required correcting such as doors, bathroom tile, electricity issues, doors already falling apart. I have had this home less than six months and there have been so many issues. I have not been pleased with the quality of work and its very disappointing. Im always having to put in a warranty ticket for corrections.Bloomfield Homes, LP

Bloomfield is disappointed to learn Complainant is unhappy with her home. Bloomfield has received warranty service requests from Complainant and has responded to each by evaluating and making repair (as needed) to any issues. Bloomfield believes it has a positive working relationship with Complainant and that any areas of concern in her home had been addressed. Given the complaint, Bloomfield will reach out to Complainant to ensure it has addressed any issues of concern to Complainant and determine if any additional work is needed at her home.Review fromTerry S

Bloomfield has received warranty service requests from Complainant and attempted to coordinate requested work to address Complainant's concerns. Unfortunately, the parties have experienced unintentional difficulty in communicating a mutually agreed upon schedule for such work. Bloomfield has contacted Complainant again today and scheduled a meeting with him today in an effort to address any outstanding concerns. It is Bloomfield's goal to work with Complainant to satisfy the concerns he has raised in his previous warranty service request submissions.Review fromPaul M

Bloomfield had Complainant's home evaluated by a professional engineer in September 2022. That engineer made recommendations for repairs to the home's foundation. Bloomfield then engaged a repair company to evaluate the recommendations and develop a plan of repair. The repair company then worked to schedule a meeting with Complainant to review the plan of repair. Complainant indicated a preference to potentially pursue a resolution other than repair of the home, and chose to forego the requested meeting in hopes of visiting with Bloomfield about the alternate resolution. There was a brief delay in communications during which Bloomfield was waiting to hear from Complainant and Complainant was waiting to hear from Bloomfield to discuss the potential alternate resolution. Regardless, Bloomfield and Complainant have been in communication several times this week and have agreed upon a path forward regarding Complainant's home. It is Bloomfield's understanding the Complainant is currently pleased with Bloomfield's response to his concerns.Review fromM. B.

At the time a homeowner enters a contract to purchase a home, Bloomfield discloses that the property is located in an area where homes are subject to mandatory membership in a property owners' association. Bloomfield also provides an estimate of then current annual fees for participation in the property owners' association, and specifically discloses that the amount is an estimate only and not a guarantee regarding the fees required for participation in the property owners' association. Moreover, Bloomfield discloses that such fees and costs are subject to change at any time. A buyer also acknowledges at closing (in an affidavit signed by the buyer) that the property is subject to participation in the property owners' association, that annual assessments or dues will be owed, and that buyer should contact the association directly to ascertain the exact amount of future dues or assessments. Buyer then accepts sole responsibility to obtain such information and verify its accuracy.Bloomfield is not affiliated with Complainant's property owners' association, does not participate in its management, and plays no role in setting and/or changing dues or assessments owed to the association. Bloomfield did disclose information to Complainant at the time of contract - and noted that such fees and costs were subject to change at any time - and Complainant accepted responsibility for obtaining and verifying information regarding dues and assessments owed to its property owners' association.M. I love my house and there were a lot of things included, but I would not choose them for a builder again. My main issue is that my air conditioner went out after I was in the house for 6 years and I was told that the unit was too small for my house. My neighbor's air conditioner just went out as well and were also told the air conditioner was too small (I have a 1 story and my neighbor has a 2 story and this happened a year apart). I understand that the unit will not last forever, but our unit broke because it was constantly working due to it being too small. Contacted Bloomfield who said there is nothing they can do now, I should have called when it broke (It was at least 100 degrees when it broke so we needed it ASAP). So, when purchasing a home from Bloomfield make sure to add in at least ****** for a new air conditioner.Bloomfield Homes, LP

Bloomfield originally sold the subject home to Complainant on October 23, 2015. Outside of a ductwork repair in 2016, Bloomfield has not received any service requests from Complainant related to the **** equipment originally installed in the home. Bloomfield has confirmed (via original serial number information) that the **** equipment originally installed in the home was the correct equipment properly sized for the home. Complainant reached out to Bloomfield on November 29, 2022 by submitting a warranty request stating "Air conditioner," with no further explanation. Bloomfield contacted the Complainant on the same date requesting additional information regarding the **** concern. Complainant informed Bloomfield that it had engaged ******* (information provided by Complainant, so Bloomfield cannot confirm accuracy of the identification) to evaluate the home's **** equipment. Complainant was apparently informed that replacement **** equipment was required. During the November 29, 2022 communication, Complainant informed Bloomfield it had paid the its vendor of choice to replace the **** equipment in the home's "6th year." That work was performed without Complainant ever contacting Bloomfield or requesting assistance from Bloomfield. During the November 29, 2022 communication, Complainant requested Bloomfield to provide reimbursement for monies paid to replace the **** equipment. Given the date of replacement provided by the Complainant to Bloomfield (the home's 6th year), and knowing the age of the home (7 years and 1 month), it appears Complainant first reported any **** concerns to Bloomfield months after the equipment was replaced. Bloomfield declined to reimburse Complainant. Ultimately, Bloomfield originally installed proper and appropriate **** equipment in the home and Complainant chose to pay a third-party vendor to replace the original **** equipment without ever reporting a problem to Bloomfield or giving Bloomfield an opportunity to evaluate the original **** equipment.
