We are having an issue with toilets not flushing properly and drains backing up not to mention bad smells (sewer type smells) from the sinks. After having the issue evaluated we were told the issue was coming from a main pipe underneath the house that has fallen out of place and is not allowing proper flow. This has been an ongoing problem for awhile but one we thought might be due to our area having hard water. We did not realize the extent of the problem or the cost involved in having it resolved until having it professionally evaluated (also by Bloomfield's own plumber). The issue is our two year plumbing warranty has since expired and they have refused to pay based on that.

The issue raised by Complainant is, in fact, out of the stated warranty period. Nevertheless, Bloomfield is working on a potential solution for this issue that will hopefully satisfy the Complainant. Bloomfield has reached out to the Complainant to discuss this matter further but has not yet reached or talked with Complainant. Bloomfield will continue to make efforts in that regard.

My wife and I closed on our Bloomfield home in ******, ** on November 9, 2023. On May 28, 2024, a severe thunderstorm caused the right side of our fence to blow over and out of the stone wall. After inspecting the damage, I discovered the metal fence posts were only eight inches in the stone wall. Bloomfield Homes refuses to repair the stone wall and fence stating it was weather related. As a six-month homeowner, I should not have to file an insurance claim to cover the builder's poorly installed fence. In addition to the fence and stone wall damage, I have multiple water leaks in my attic, guest bedroom, kitchen ceiling and water poured through my bedroom patio door during the storm. *************************, Bloomfield Homes service manager, emailed to inform me that the fence, wall, nor the leaks would be covered by the home warranty stating it was storm damage. *********************, Bloomfield Homes VP of Sales and Marketing, stated ***** should send roofers to fix the leaks, but the fence and wall would not be covered under the home warranty because **** considers the damage to be storm related and not the installation of the fence posts at eight inches. I asked **** if he thought the posts being installed eight inches in depth was sufficient and he said he did. I informed ***** and **** of leaks in our home prior to closing. In October 2023, the roofer informed me the roofing guys failed to seal the vents properly during the installation of the roof. I had the wall, fence, and roof inspected by independent companies and they informed me the vents and flashing weren't installed and sealed properly on the roof of our home. The fence posts were not secured deep enough to support the fence. Bloomfield Homes refuses to accept responsibility for the poor workmanship of their contractors.

      Business response

      06/05/2024

Bloomfield has been in communication with Complainant regarding the various issues raised in the complaint. The damage to Complainant's fence was a clear result of the recent storm that included extreme wind conditions. It is unfortunate that the storm occurred, but such events cannot be controlled and are not covered by the warranty relevant to Complainant's home. Meanwhile, Bloomfield, through its Project and Service Managers in Complainant's neighborhood, is working through the remaining issues raised in the complaint and hopes to have those items repaired to Complainant's satisfaction in the near future.

      Customer response

      06/05/2024

      Complaint: 21774779

I am rejecting this response because:  The business is not addressing the underlying issue of the metal posts for the fence only being installed eight inches in the stone wall. A six-foot fence with eight inches of support is not sufficient.

Yes, the leaks are being addressed by the roofing company. The initial attempt to repair the leak in the bedroom on June 3, 2024, was not successful. The roofing company will repair the area over the bedroom window again on June 5, 2024, and conduct a water test. In addition, the roofing company will replace vents to hopefully stop the other leaks in the home.

      Business response

      06/05/2024

The fence posts at issue in this complaint were installed correctly, consistent with normal practice, and consistent with industry standards. Bloomfield realizes Complainant is unhappy with the fence falling over, but that was not due to an installation error or the depth to which the posts were installed.

      Complaint: 21774779

I am rejecting this response because: I am requesting to see the industry standard the business is referring to. The common practice for the depth of fence posts is the hole needs to be one-third to one-half of the actual above-ground height of the post.

Bloomfield is disappointed to learn that Complainant is dissatisfied with his home as a result of construction in the neighborhood. Legacy Ranch is a planned community with a park area that is connected to various parts of the neighborhood by several walking paths. Complainants home sits on a corner lot that backs up to a walking path that connects to **************** park area. Bloomfield is building a home on the lot on the far side of that walking path behind Complainants home. Regardless, Complainant maintains an immediate view of the path to the park area while also enjoying the benefits of owning a corner lot.Bloomfield has reached out to Complainant to further discuss his concerns, which also include the finish of stone installed on his home. Bloomfield is researching that issue and will be back in contact with Complainant in hopes of resolving the issue to Complainants satisfaction.

Complainant entered a contract with Bloomfield Homes, LP (Bloomfield)in August 2022 to purchase a home in *********, *****. During the purchase process leading up to the contract being executed, Complainant expressed concern regarding what would happen with any deposits made to Bloomfield if Complainant was not approved for financing of the purchase. Bloomfield informed Complainant all monies would be returned if Complainant timely applied for financing but were denied approval of a loan.Bloomfield never informed Complainant that they would receive a return of any deposits if they decided for any reason to back out of the contract at any time. Regardless, Complainant was approved for financing and decided to move forward with the purchase. After the contract was signed, Bloomfield stayed in regular communication with Complainant during the build process. In February 2023,Bloomfield informed Complainant of a March 17, 2023 projected closing date. On March 5, 2023, Complainant informed Bloomfield they no longer wished to proceed with their purchase of the home. Complainant terminated the contract after entering the purchase agreement and selecting a lot, floor plan, elevation, colors and finishes (all of which were installed in the home and/or provided by Bloomfield at Complainants request), only days before the scheduled closing of the transaction. At Complainants request, Bloomfield terminated the contract pursuant to and consistent with the terms thereof.

Bloomfield respectfully disagrees with Complainants' recollection of events leading up to their unfulfilled agreement to purchase the subject home. Bloomfield first received notice of Complainants **** concern on Tuesday, June 13. Bloomfield immediately reached out to the homeowner to schedule a visit to the home so it can inspect the **** equipment and determine an appropriate course of action to address Complainant's concern. After speaking with Complainant, it appears the initial request referenced in the Complaint (to which Complainant received no acknowledgment other than notification that the case was closed)  was apparently forwarded to someone other than Bloomfield - presumably the neighborhood HOA. Regardless, Bloomfield initially scheduled a meeting with Complainant for Wednesday, June 7. Complainant has since requested that the meeting be rescheduled for next Tuesday, June 20. Bloomfield will visit Complainant's home along with an **** trade partner to determine an appropriate course of action going forward.

Bloomfield is aware of Complainant's concerns regarding the garage. Bloomfield has engaged a professional engineer to evaluate the issue and make recommendations for any necessary repairs. Bloomfield is prepared to follow that engineer's recommendations for repair. It is Bloomfield's understanding that the engineer communicated with Complainant on Friday, March 17 and that the engineer and Complainant are working to schedule a time when they can meet to evaluate the garage concern. Bloomfield looks forward to resolving this issue (and any other outstanding issues) for Complainant.

I am rejecting this response because:

Wednesday 29, 2023  - Rebuttal to Bloomfield Homes (BF) Response to initial complaint

Regarding the garage Build **************************** 'Defect' and Instability of *******************:

After further assessment and gathering multiple professional opinions:

It appears that the recommendation from ********************* Bloomfields Vice President second opinion from Structural Engineer ************************************** recommendation to pour a second layer of concrete with adhesive bonding solution on top of already existing concreate is deemed to render disastrous future results as it will not keep the home stabilized from separate movement.

Whereupon, a second pour of concrete is highly refuted, deemed unstable and volatile, by multiple people who physically observed the layout which includes a few of Bloomfields Team, Builders, Concrete team and a couple 3rd Party Structure Engineers as various second opinions. Consequently, the current wood cannot last too long under these conditions.  I now have water damage.  The stability of the foundation is currently in a vulnerable condition.  The negligent build out of the garage is extremely defective, unable to secure the structural foundation of the home, and apparently irreparable without major reconstruction like a rebuild.

**I recommend to properly build out a new home with a professional, secure sound structural foundation within the current Bloomfield homes phase two build out and keep the same Hawthorne II build model.

The following All are adamantly against a second pour of concrete and stated that adding a second pour of concrete, at this point over already existing concrete, will be disastrous for the home in the future.

      1.      ************************* = ***************************************************** => Director of Bloomfield Homes

      2.      ************************************** = ****************************************************** =>  Maintenance Bloomfield Homes

      3.      ************************* = *************************************************************  =>The Warranty Manager Bloomfield Homes (Initially stated it will be disasterous, but has now changed his statement)

      4.      ***************************** *****************************

      5.      stated it will be disastrous and provided a report.

************************* Director of Bloomfield homes came to my home with another Builder Structural Engineer **** to assess the foundation: (I cant quite remember the name of the Engineer.) However,  ************************* stated that he never seen this before and that this is a Tricky situation.

*Again, ************************* Bloomfield Homes Director is adamantly against a second pour of concrete and deem it to be disastrous. The builder /engineer who  came with **** Conedera did not have a solution. However, they dont support the suggestion of a second pour of concrete.

Cross road **** Structural Engineer also stated it will be disastrous for a second pour of concrete on an already existing concrete that supports a foundation because as it the home naturally continue to settle.
*Read the Crossroad Engineer's report notes of the foundation etc...

A 3rd Engineer ********:  Adamantly is also against a second pour of concrete:

Bottomline: There are a lot of ambiguity, uncertainty and contradiction to provide a secure resolution and prevention from a future 'Disastrous' outcome of the structural foundation of this home.

Structural Engineer ************************* suggested adding Adhesive Bonding solution to the two concrete.  It is strongly refutable that Adhesive Bonding substance can withstand future stability of a home structure with the natural movement and change of weather over time.  Hot ?? 100+ degree of weather can loosen it, then 35'degree.. The back and forth of major weather change can alter, loosen and affect the adhesive bonding substance over time with a great possibility that the second pour of concrete can move separately from the original concrete despite the bolts.  Similar as the stumps in parking eventually loosen from the ground.

March 4th **** builder and another concrete guy stated: They can pour concrete.
**** stated the concrete is too smooth and will first have to beat the concrete in order to lay the adhesive substance, then pour etc...

Consequently, I am under great distress, anguish, worried and overwhelmed as I have purchase an half million dollar new home, built from the ground up July 2022 with egregious neglectful defective garage foundational structural build layout. The structure was not securely built out and will inevitably be disastrous

*The serious faulty structural foundation layout essentially guarantees undetermined future instability.   The layout undoubtedly will lead to a disastrous outcome with great ambiguity of a secure resolution.

      Questions and Concerns:
      1. City Inspector <> Building Code:
Did the City Inspector Approve the garage? If so, 'How and why did the City Inspector Approve the garage layout in which clearly wasnt properly built out?

**The garage structural Layout wasn't professionally or securely built out.
**  Did the Inspector just naturally and blindly sign off on Bloomfield homes
      ?? due to massive builds?)

      2. Regarding Adhesive Bonding substance:
Question/Concern:   How can the Adhesive Bonding substance withstand the change of weather over time. Hot
?? 100+ degree of weather can loosen it, then 35'degree.. The back and forth of major weather change can alter, loosen and affect the adhesive bonding substance over time with a great possibility that the second pour of concrete can move separately from the original concrete despite the bolts.  Similar as the stumps in parking eventually loosen from the ground.

      *** Proposal:

Due to the current malfunction and egregious neglectful build out, ambiguity and contradictions as  multiple people are against a second pour of concrete in regards to a protective and secure resolution that will lead to a disastrous outcome overtime;  I propose the following options:  I prefer the latter.

      Suggested Legal Protection:

      1. Regarding the Warranty of the structural foundation: Put in writing ?? If a second layer of concrete is poured,  to provide this particular home with a 'Life Time' Warranty on the Structural foundation.
      2.  Request to properly build out a new home with a professional and secure structural foundation in the current phase two build out. Same build type Hawthorne II.

      Sincerely,

      *****************************

Bloomfield has visited the home with a professional engineer who evaluated the home and Complainant's concerns regarding water getting into the garage. The water intrusion results from the lack of a small stem wall on the front side of the garage. This issue is not a structural issue, and is not affecting the structural integrity of the home or its foundation. The engineer is in the process of developing a specific plan for installation of the stem wall, and Bloomfield has offered to meet with Complainant, Complainant's realtor, and Complainant's engineer to discuss the plan of repair. This repair should not affect the structural integrity of the Home and, thus, does not warrant a lifetime warranty (which is never provided with a Bloomfield home) or buying back Complainant's home. Bloomfield is committing to making repair to Complainant's home to ensure it performs consistent with its warranty performance standards - and Bloomfield is confident it can accomplish that goal.

      Complaint: 19590895

I am rejecting this response because:

The issue is a structural foundational defect. The garage middle wall next to the outside of the house was neglectfully built out without solid concrete slab to secure the frame wall as required to properly support the frame of the house.  Therefore, the structure of the home is not secure for future foundational stability. The garage also supports the second floor of the home as well.  The middle of the wall is layered with wood. When it rain and ***** outside, water enters into the garage create various puddles of water.  Also the middle of the wall has broken wood, debri and trash between the wall and the brick of the house.   Not I have water damage on the wood and concrete in which not last too long.

Again multiple Bloomfield Homes Peers, Builders Engineer and concreate team who came to the home adamantly refute and speak against the recommendation of a second pour of concrete as suggest by Bloomfield VPs engineer.  Thus, it apparently appears to be a great contradiction and questions the integrity of Bloomfield Homes VP or long standing friendlystructural engineer partnership.

After gathering multiple professional structural engineers opinions: It appears that the recommendation from ********************* Bloomfields Vice President second opinion from Structural Engineer ************************************** recommendation to pour a second layer of concrete with adhesive bonding solution on top of already existing concreate is deemed to render disastrous future results. A second pour of concrete is highly refuted, deemed unstable and volatile.

**It appears that the client/Bloomfield Homes VP is avoiding to take accountability of the builders neglectful build out of the home, and trying to put bBand ***** a very serious structural problem.  Band Aid on a million dolloar home.  The garage foundation also supports the second floor of the home.   This is unethical.

I have been extremely patient with the builders. I advise them that garage doors need re-stain, floor tiles is crack, outside window paint fading, kitchen pole is scratched up. Also, on 3/5/2023, Master bathroom issue. I was getting out the tub and draining the water, the water was draining into the shower. Used the bathroom, flush the toilet, toilet overflow and turn the bathroom sink, the toilet was bubbling and water, tissue and p*** all over my floor. Tried to dry clothes, the dryer wouldnt start. The plug not working. This is a new built home. Please assist with this issue. Im very disappointed, and not pleased with Bloomfield.

Bloomfield reached out to the Complainant this week and has put in place a plan to address the referenced concerns as follows: (1) Bloomfield has agreed to have its painter re-stain the garage door; (2) Bloomfield has replaced or will replace cracked floor tiles; (3) Bloomfield will evaluate the window with painting fade and make appropriate repairs, if needed; (4) Bloomfield has addressed Complainant's concern regarding the scratched kitchen pole; (5) Bloomfield has had its plumber clean the plumbing line and has cleaned and disinfected all areas affected by the toilet backing up and overflowing; and (6) Bloomfield has had its electrician address the issue with the dryer and outlet not working. It is Bloomfield's understanding that Complainant is satisfied with Bloomfield's response to the referenced concerns and the plan of action put in place. Bloomfield remains ready to respond to any additional concerns Complainant has.

I was on contract with Bloomfield Homes to build my home so I could move back to ***** and help take care of my family after losing my father. Although geographically sub-located with my recent retirement from the Air Force, I still had family, friends and my realtor to check in on the build. Aside from the company's inability to address simple questions, the real issue arose after the framing of the house. I had sent in several pictures of the lumber used that was not your standard sizing, cracked, split, etc...and when I got a response I was just told "industry standard." I sent them pictures of the home they were building two doors away and the lumber package was like comparing apples to oranges. I am not even sure the contractor physically went to verify nor did he say they would address/fix the concerns. I took this to the Director of Sales who I am sure didn't go physically inspect, but instead agreed with the Contractors email response. Instead of addressing concerns, Bloomfield Homes pulled my contract and I am not sure if they did it solely based on my questions or if they found someone to pay more money...either of which is unethical. I took my concerns to the *** who didn't even read the report, but immediately sided with the Director of Sales...once again, without reading my report or viewing my the pictures I took the time to have taken and sent. How can the structural integrity of the home costing upwards of $600K be so easily disregarded?

      Business response

      01/09/2023

Shortly after entering a contract to purchase a home from Bloomfield, Complainant expressed disappointment and dissatisfaction with various aspects of Bloomfield's build process. Bloomfield tried to satisfy Complainant's concerns by providing information regarding the build process and answering any questions Complainant had. Unfortunately, Bloomfield's efforts in that regard were dismissed and clearly did not satisfy Complainant's concerns.  It became apparent that there was a disagreement between Complainant and Bloomfield that could not be resolved, that Complainant would never be satisfied with Bloomfield's effort to build a home, and that Complainant would likely be better served by finding a home built by a builder with which Complainant could be happy. Bloomfield ultimately terminated Complainant's contract pursuant to the terms thereof. Complainant has been consistent in expressing his disagreement with the termination.

Bloomfield did not make the decision to terminate Complainant's purchase agreement without due consideration. Contrary to Complainant's assertion, Bloomfield's Project Manager did regularly visit the build site and inspect various aspects of the build process and progress. Bloomfield's Director of Sales had numerous communications with Complainant and made extensive effort to address Complainant's concerns.  Rather than resolving Complainant's concerns, those communications only highlighted the disagreement between the parties and Complainant's dissatisfaction with Bloomfield. Since terminating the contract, Bloomfield has been subjected to consistent insults and threats of litigation and/or "reporting" - presumably reporting to news stations and entities like the Better Business Bureau.  All of this while Complainant has expressly noted no desire to acquire the home made the subject of the now terminated contract (Complainant recently communicated to Bloomfield the following:  "You don't actually think I want that home back at this point or a Bloomfield home all together do you?  Would be comical if you did.") These comments and the ongoing efforts by Complainant to continue communicating dissatisfaction with Bloomfield are indicative of the disagreements between the parties prior to termination of Complainant's purchase agreement. Bloomfield is disappointed it cannot meet with Complainant's satisfaction.

      Complaint: 18701602

I am rejecting this response because:

For a company and even a community that have been around for a good amount of time, there was consistently a lot of "i don't knows" when asked questions.

Why would a company dismiss customer concerns?  Was there a notion that if a customer was geographically located elsewhere from the build that their concerns, even when pictures were provided, could be dismissed from the bottom level up?  How is there any form of checks and balances on operations if leadership just automatically defaults without actually reading and/or listening to the concerns of the customer?  How does the process go from the customer being told they are correct in the lack of information provided to having a contract pulled for not getting provided information?

A main concern would be if the lumber issue ever inspected/resolved or were customer concerns dismissed with the solution being to cancel a contract instead?

Was a contract pulled because legitimate questions were asked?

Was contract pulled because someone else had expressed interest in the lot?

Why hasn't the home been listed on the website?

Is asking questions about a new home build throughout the build process "filing a dispute, a disagreement or arguing" as stated in the clause in the contract used for cancellation?

      Threats?

      1.  Information gathering as a means to investigate consumer rights and seek legal counsel is not a threat.

      2.  Reaching out to the BBB is a consumer right, not a threat, and it is to ensure standards are being upheld.

Bloomfield did not dismiss Complainant's concerns regarding the home at issue. Rather, Bloomfield responded to all of Complainant's questions after careful consideration.  Unfortunately, Complainant was not satisfied with the responses received. Bloomfield's leadership, on various levels, did review and respond to correspondence from Complainant once Complainant expressed dissatisfaction with initial responses.  Again, Complainant was not satisfied with those responses. It became apparent there was a disagreement between the parties and that Complainant would never be satisfied with Bloomfield or its efforts to build a home.  Bloomfield is now certain that Complainant will never be satisfied with its responses to his initial concerns, his queries regarding termination of the purchase agreement, or its responses to this BBB complaint. Regardless, Bloomfield is confident it acted in the best interest of all parties involved and wishes Complainant the best of luck in finding a home and neighborhood in which he can be happy.

I am rejecting this response because:

Bloomfield remains elusive in answering questions directly.  Were there fixes put in place on the framing of the project (pictures available)?  Was the cancellation of contract to pursue an already interested party?  Bloomfield immediately defaulted to their "dispute/disagreement" clause within the contract, when the Complainant directly included the preface regarding not wishing to cancel the contract...does that sound argumentative?

Bloomfield is quick to blame the Complainant, however when the Complainant directly asked the *** of the Company during a telephone conversation on if he had read the report, he answered with an astound no and that he deferred to other individuals within the company...is the complainant supposed to be satisfied on the level when the *** couldn't be bothered to look into the matter?

Did Bloomfield act in the best interest of all parties or just themselves?  Because Bloomfield had a contract with a customer who asked legitimate questions and never received legitimate answers.  Does Bloomfield feel, that "I don't know" was an adequate response, because plenty of those were received.

Bloomfield seems to be quick to point the problem in the direction of the Complainant, however, subpar reviews existed with their Corporate and various locations prior to the Complainant coming along.

We entered into contract with Bloomfield Homes back in December 2021. Our home is located in the ******************* in ******************. We entered into this contract because the communicated completion date of this home was the end of March 2022 which fit out timeline perfectly. Unfortunately to date our home is still not competed for multiple reasons. Mostly because of supply chain delays. However, this is bs. I too build out spaces as a project manager and if you order your supplies Im a timely fashion to account for shipping delays there isnt any problems. That being said weve been more than patient. (1) The first issue we experienced was damage to all our windows on one side of the house due to the home next door burning to the ground the night before closing. Interesting fact is the fire department is within walking distance of my street in plain sight and the home still burned completely to the ground before the fire department got to it. Even stranger, we are being told the investigation was inconclusive. I find it odd the fire department cannot determine the cause of the fire. Maybe we need ************ in this neighborhood.(2) The second issue we experienced was and still is the delay in the third hvac unit being installed,(3) They installed the incorrect doors on the study.(4) The installed cabinets were busted.(5) Several drawers were broken.(6) In May we had a third party inspection done on the home because it was almost compete and was just missing appliances. In return we received a 43 page inspection report compete with pictures of several issues found with the home. Although most of it comes from sloppy work and silly mistakes and the home being complete, Bloomfield homes has been fixing the issues found in the report. So I recommend you all get a third party inspection BEFORE closing so you dont end up having any of these warranty nightmares other consumers on here have been complaining about.

Bloomfield continues to address various issues raised by the Complainant and/or in the inspection report referenced in the complaint, and is on track to meet the currently scheduled June 30, 2022 close date.  Bloomfield understands Complainant's frustrations with delays, and shares in those frustrations.  Unfortunately, supply chain difficulties and other issues causing delays are a reality in today's building climate.  Nevertheless, Bloomfield is committed to finishing the job in time for the scheduled closing and will work closely with Complainant to get them to the finish line.

I am rejecting this response because:

We purchased a Bloomfield home in the ****************** area. Specifically we bought the Primrose 6. We paid well over $6ook for our property. Based on the business' commitment to provide us a quality home that is equally as beautiful as their model homes, we completed the purchase. Unfortunately a third party inspection showed several builder defects. To date Bloomfield homes has corrected all these defects. On top of that we continue to experience additional defects. In response Bloomfield homes a ********** ******* manager, sales person, and warranty manager that doesn't share our same sense of urgency and demand for a quality home. The home we have is not the home we expected to purchase. It is not the home sold to us. We believe Bloomfield is in breach of our real estate contract. Recently we learned there are many other homeowners who share our sentiments and have experience equal builder defects in their brand new homes. So many to the point we are seeking to file a class action lawsuits for the defects and discrimination. We truly believe that homeowners in the non-predominantly African American communities are not experiencing our same struggles. Bloomfields quality does not justify the prices they are charging for these homes. Someone should really look into the business practices of this corporation.

Bloomfield received Complainant's report of issues that required correction pursuant to the express limited warranty provided to Complainant with her Bloomfield home.  Bloomfield responded to the report by repairing most, if not all, of the concerns previously raised by Complainant.  Bloomfield recently visited Complainant's home on 12/22/22 at Complainant's request and noted a concern regarding mortar at the rock fireplace.  Bloomfield agreed to address the concern and Complainant, in response, expressed gratitude and indicated she was happy with her home and Bloomfield's response to her concerns. If Complainant has additional warranty issues that require attention, Bloomfield will gladly evaluate those issues and make repairs where appropriate.  Complainant merely needs to submit those issues to Bloomfield through its warranty portal or through Bloomfield's Project and/or Service Manager - a process of which Complainant is aware.

Bloomfield is consistent across all of its neighborhoods, regardless of location or demographics, in terms of the quality of its construction materials and build processes. It is also consistent in terms of its response to warranty submissions and concerns with a customer's home.  ********************** values all of its customers and strives to treat them all with respect. With regard to the value of Complainant's home, Complainant was represented by a real estate agent who presumably provided guidance regarding appropriate pricing for the homes in which Complainant was interested and ultimately the home Complainant ultimately purchased.  Moreover, an independent appraiser would have provided an appraisal of Complainant's home as part of the mortgage lending process prior to Complainant closing on her purchase of the home. Bloomfield is confident it provided a quality product consistent with the price paid by Complainant. To the extent there remain any outstanding warranty items that require attention, Bloomfield is prepared to evaluate those concerns and make repair where appropriate.

I am rejecting this response because:

The response from the organization is not factual. In fact, Bloomfield Homes continues to downplay the severity of the defects and the quality of our home. On 12/22/22 when Bloomfield Homes visited my home I did not tell them I was pleased with my home. It has been expressed multiple times over that a terrible job was done with the construction. Since it is Bloomfields position that they provided a quality home we can handle this matter legally. Bloomfield Homes had contractors that were working under the influence of alcohol build my home. The sloppiness of the completed job shows proof that my home is not up to par with what we expect.

Bloomfield has communicated with the Complainant on both June 2 and June 6 to better understand their concerns and prepare a plan for addressing those concerns.  Various of the issues raised in the complaint have already been scheduled for repair.  Additional issues that have not yet been scheduled (i.e., roofing concern) will be scheduled for inspection and, if necessary, repair.  Bloomfield's current understanding is that all concerns either have been or will be addressed and the Complainant is currently satisfied with Bloomfield's response.  Bloomfield will remain in contact with Complainant throughout this process to ensure issues are resolved to the best of Bloomfield's ability.

Bloomfield has again been in contact with the Complainant this week to verify the status of various repairs at the home.  As of this date, all issues raised by the homeowner have either been repaired or scheduled for repair.  To the best of Bloomfield's knowledge there are no outstanding issues which have not been addressed.  If Complainant has outstanding or additional issues it believes need attention, Bloomfield will be happy to visit further with Complainant to address those on a case by case basis.
