I called this company on 2/28 at 3pm when I believed I had a slab leak. They came out at 9am on 3/1. This plumbing company identified the leak and provided a misleading scope of work to me. They began work jackhammering the slab. They replaced an inch of copper pipe, and then filled the dirt back and poured new concrete. They were all wrapped up at 10:30am. They charged me $7,296.06 for 90 minutes of work. I attempted to negotiate after the work was done because I was very confused by the initial estimate and scope of work. I thought this project would take days and be far more extensive. They have yet to provide me with a plumbing report of the work done which they said they'd do. I've contacted 4 plumbers since that each said that I was taken advantage of. The highest bid of the other 4 was for $1200. A huge discrepancy from what I was charged. I attempted to call, have left multiple voicemails and have still been unable to get a completed plumbing report. Today, the plumber answered the phone and cursed at me calling me a "mother-fucking idiot" and then hanging up on me when I suggested that he over-charged and took advantage of me. I made no request for a refund. I just want my plumbing report so I can submit to insurance.

Firstly, this customer has repeatedly attempted to have ** re-write the work order with false info & commit insurance fraud by lying to have his repair covered by both the cabinet company that removed his island, and his homeowners policy, to receive payment twice. We are and have always been unwilling to lie or deceive in any case & this customer made threats if we did not do ask he requested. Today 3/24/23 is when this review was posted. The customer had no issues, until he realized we are not going to assist in his fraud scheme. He stated in a complaint to the BBB this week, that the price is not his concern but to receive a work order. We have sent multiple times to the e-mail he advised & he still claims to have not received. Secondly, the plumber located a leak on the pot filler in addition to referenced repair, which was taken care of for free to allow for the leak location for the bigger issue. All leak location service was done at no charge to this customer as a courtesy. From the start, the plumber advised that this leak would not be caused by a freeze break. As the price was quoted for repair, the plumber advised we understand if you may want to get more estimates for comparison. This customer refused to get more estimates and begged the plumber to start immediately, stating that the cabinet company was going to cover the complete cost of repair, no matter what. He also told the plumber that the cabinet company was going to include it in the freeze break claim they intended to file. He was perfectly happy with the price. We accommodated him and cleared the remainder of the schedule to complete repair within same day. There was no time outlined for work to be completed, as well when the pair of plumbers finished the repair the customer started commenting on their hourly rate at which point the plumber reviewed the conversation prior to the request to start repair. Customer made payment and had no concerns. After first receiving the work order he says (in this review) he never got, he called our office to negotiate the wording in the work order to guarantee it would be covered aka lie. Multiple times he advised no receipt of the one with changed wording and we continued to send the original correct work order. His final call to our office came on Monday 3/20, at which point he advised hed spoken with other plumbers that promised the most to charge for repair is $1200 without ever seeing the job or doing a location themselves, or actually being there to restore water to his family same day.
Ultimately, this customer received same day service on a major repair, along with free leak location service and an additional leak at the pot filler fixed for free. Previously, they had been without water for days and the house was torn apart waiting on this repair. He seems to have expected we would join him in committing insurance fraud, which we will not! Now he is making the rounds online, a month later, to lie and negatively impact our companys reputation, just as he threatened. Beware to small businesses, we have voided all warranties with him and would refuse to ever work for him again for obvious reasons.

I am rejecting this response because:   this statement is simply not true. It's a complete misunderstanding of the situation and the plumber/owner hung up on me and won't return my call to correct any of the issues. One party (DeWolfe Plumbing) in this conflict completely refuses to communicate at all.

We last received a call from ************** on 3/20/2023 advising he was wanting the work order changed to reflect the wording he wanted so that his claim with his insurance would cover the repair & when we advised that we would not be changing the work order because as it was originally created was the true information as to what was done and seen on the job site. This customer was very open about the fact that the cabinet company was going to pay him back for the repair because their insurance claim would cover and additionally he planned to claim to his home owners insurance to get a 2X pay out. We will not commit insurance fraud and when he realized that was a final answer, he started making threats to go after our company online which he has done.
