My vehicle was repossessed by prestige financial and I have been trying to get in contact with their customer service department. Unfortunately I have personal belongings in that vehicle, we were also, at one point, discussing my options for retrieving said vehicle. All communication has come to a halt on their end. I purchased this vehicle from Union City Mitsubishi in April May timeframe of 2024. The sales team did not fully disclose the finance company and their reviews who was financing the vehicle. At that time I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and was going thru a tough time with managing my stress level. Around August timeframe my condition got worse where I could not work and my VA disability checks were cut off due to a financial mistake where it left me not able to pay my obligations to pay bills. The harassments started from this company where they were rude, disrespectful in emails, phone calls and texts messages. Their harassment caused me to have issues related to my heart condition where it put me under a lot of stress. The harassments did not stop there because they contacted my employer on numerous occasion. I am just tired of all the harassments and rude emails and texts.Business Response

I WASC IN A CHAPTER 13 AND PUT MY CAR IN THERE AND I COMPLETED THE BANKRUPTCY EARLY. I CALLED PRESTIGE AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT ONCE THE BANKRUPTCY SHOWS CLOSED, THEY WILL RELEASE THE TITLE. WELL, THEY LIED THEY WILL NOT ANSWER MY PHONE CALLS I HAVE TO USE MY SON PHONE FOR SOMEONE TO TALK TO ME. NOW THEY ARE ASKING FOR MORE MONEY I NEVER SIGNED ANY PAPERWORK STATING THAT I AGREED TO THAT. ONLY PAPERWORK I SIGN WAS MY BANKRUPTCY PAPERWORK. I BEEN TRYING TO RESOLVE THIS WITHOUT HIRING ANOTHER TITLE BUT THEY REFUSE TO TALK OR RELEASE TITLE, INSTEAD THEY ASKED FOR ANOTHER $6,000. THE CAR HAS OVER 250K MILES 12 YEARS OLD AND NEED $5900 IN REPAIRS SO WHY WOULD I PAY $6OOO TO THEM FOR THAT. THIS COMPANY WAS RUDE FROM DAY ONE 2018 WHEN I GOT THE CAR. In response to this complaint, I reviewed the Retail Installment Sales Contract (RISC), account history, as well as tradeline information reported to the Credit Reporting Agencies (CRAs). Based on my review, the obligation is valid, and all information furnished is accurate. Prestige requested a copy of the RISC, to be mailed to the address on file. I was behind on my car payment and made an arrangement with the company for $772 for two months worth of car payments. I made this payment three days ago. However, I received an email and text message within minutes of each other demanding that I contact them and make the payment. Keep in mind the arrangement was made for December 31, 2024. Why are you contacting me BEFORE that date has arrived? Why are you contacting me AFTER the payment was made, demanding payment/contact? I call the company to figure out and the lady on the phone asks me for $80-something and then for $46-something. I told her no that that arrangement was made and fulfilled by payment. She starts reading some disclosure that she continues to mention a payment of $46-something and I asked what it was about. She wasn't being attentive so I disconnected the phone call.Business Response

I asking the BBB to resolve this matter with Prestige financial on the amount I owned in due time and dispute this amount and financial issues.... Dispute this amount due to financial will be resolved...do to the vehicle 2016 ******* ****** sport.....the date was 12/20/24 unfortunately the vehicle was having issues with the engine and it cost to repair was $489 to $500.00 to be repaired motor mounts.....it was unsafe to drive and I contact Company Prestige financial about the issue and they extended my contract and it was agreeable upon both parties.....the financial I had went towards the vehicle repair.....Business Response

I bought a used car from ******* a 2016 Tucson and after having it for three months my engine needed replacing The dealership allegedly replaced my engine but without a proof of purchase for a new engine Im considering that the engine was not replaced.
