Was over promised and they under delivered is an understatement! First, the amount was never to get all the way to max and ended up coming in @75k even ($20K more than discussed). No breakdown, nothing and I signed on an iPad and doc could’ve been edited after my signature. Then even though I didn’t approve the work upon completion (never even knew when done) nor did it pass inspection but they got all the money and were gone in the wind. They screwed many customers and solar companies - including the company I bought it from who never disclosed it would be contracted out and being that they didn’t get paid, they don’t even consider me a customer! Even though everyone I dealt with was wearing a Flo Energy shirt. I had to turn on/activate the system myself by googling as they weren’t reachable at all. Then, it didn’t even pass inspection and I was canceled by my homeowners insurance as a result because it was a fire hazard. So I had to pay/hire skilled electrician to wire correctly and then had to get new homeowner insurance which was not only difficult but the priced increased exponentially. Then the system still never worked as promised and I was paying $600 mo for electricity!!! Should’ve been $226 mo according to salesman. I would warn other buyers but they can’t even be reached, are on the run and I was told “under investigation by the FBI” Last, the finance company that’s handling the loan did not care whatsoever about me being scammed, made a lot of promises but never followed through and while I was waiting for an answer, they let the loan go past due and i couldn’t even get an explanation. This loan has damaged my credit so much that I can’t get necessary loans etc and this is the only account I’ve ever been late on and that’s because i thought we were working something out but they aren’t interested. This is a terrible feeling being taken advantage of, feet held to fire to pay and totally damaged my credit! Worst decision ever made!!!

We purchased a home in September of 2022. The previous owners had just had solar panels installed by Element Solar. It was a huge selling point for us. We were told the panels were all done, inspected, and ready to go. Xcel Energy just had to do a “10 min thing” they said, to hook up the panels to the grid. Turns out the installers, Element Solar, had to complete an application to Xcel. The “10 min thing” has now turned into 11 months, and the application still hasn’t been completed. I’ve been pulling teeth this whole time. I’ll get a response, then nothing for 2 months. Then a quick response, then nothing. Element Solar has already been paid, so it is clear they don’t give a crap. The delay is NOT because of Xcel. Xcel needs more information and an application fee from Element Solar. Xcel tells me there is nothing I can do myself, it has to be done by the installers. So we're stuck with these beautiful solar panels that can't be used.

I began my contract with Element Solar in August 2021. My solar panels were installed 10/2021. My first problem was that Florida Power and Light was supposed to receive a $400 check which I was not aware of. I was told that the check was going to be taken care of by Element. I received the bill from FPL on 12/22/21. After MANY communications back and forth it was finally paid by Element at the beginning of February. In February after monitoring my panels on Solar Edge I saw they weren't working & contacted Element. After many calls and much frustration my panels were fixed & working 7/2022. In the meantime I am still paying FPL full electric bills! I called EnerBank to see if they would extend the beginning of my payments from Dec 2021 because the solar was not working. They said NO. So everyone got their money and I was left holding the bag! We are now in 8/23. My panels have never worked to full capacity, I still get bills from FPL. Recently after checking my panels on Solar Edge I found they were not working again. I contacted Element Solar & was sent a new inverter 7/14/23 then waited 2 weeks for installation by Raymond J*** from Porticade also a Utah company. After 38 texts not answered Ray came out 7/21 installed the inverter said he could not check if the panels were working until he returned to the office later that day. There was a strip that was still not working he returned to Utah & said he would return to Fl. the next week to fix the rest of the panels. He will not return my calls and has not returned. Josh from Element now says Ray does not work for him, he has no control over him it's a separate business & has washed his hands of the problem. I have had nothing but problems, frustration and lies since I started with Element and Porticade. I have called Fl solar businesses to repair the panels, but since I got them from a different company, they won't come out. I'm still looking for a repair company and still paying FPL. I just want my panels working!

My husband and I purchased Solar for our home in 2021. The whole process of installation, after it was approved, took about a year. They were terrible about letting us know when they were coming to the house or if something still needed to be completed. Once everything was installed we needed to get the system on line, which they give instructions for us to do ourselves. When I couldn’t get it done, they told me I needed an extender for my internet, which I purchased immediately. After installing that & trying to get online again & unable to, they advised me they would send someone out & they set up a day & time. The person never showed up, & they said they would call back to reschedule. They never called back or answered phone calls. Eventually they sent an email that they were having difficulties with their contractors & would get back to us. I do not know how it actually works between the power company & the Solar we take in, but if we didn’t use all our solar, we were told they would buy it from us, & we would be able to see it in our account that we’re supposed to set up when our system goes online, but because we haven’t gone online, we don’t have an account set up yet & we have never seen anything from the power company that they are purchasing our excess solar, so I know we are losing out on a lot of money. Now it’s Sept. 2022 & I decide to try Element Solars number again & to my surprise I get a person instead of the same old recording. She tells me that someone will be in my area next week & she will have him get in touch with me, but he never does. Now I’m back to getting their voicemail & leaving messages that are never returned. Lastly, I was flat out lied to about how the Solar Tax Rebate works & did not get the money they told me I would get.

2021 Element Solar sold me solar panels with installation. The subcontractor Porticade Construction did the installation. Now there is an issue with the roof leaking where the panels were installed. I have attempted to contact the installation company to no avail. The number listed for Porticade Construction is non-functional. I have also attempted to email the installation company. After no response from the installation company. I contacted Element Solar who stated that I would need to contact the installation company it was not their issue. I told Element Solar that no one from the construction company is responding. I was told by the Element Solar customer service that I would be put on a list of repairs to be done. And there are several customers with complaints ahead of you. An email from Element Solar would be sent to Porticade Construction and I would be copied on the email. No email has ever been received from Element Solar stating that they've contacted the contractor or copied me for response. I'm looking for a response from both of companies regarding my issue. It appears now that the work is done the 10-year warranty may not be what they said it was. I need them to come out and remove the panels from my roof. Repair the leak where they installed the panels. Put the panels back so that my solar is working and the roof is not leaking. I'm looking for them to uphold to their end of the contract that we signed. I'm looking for your help with this so I'm not getting ripped off and left with the financial burden. Thank for your your help in advance.

Date of contract signed: 6-30-21 Financing Company: Sunlight Financial Installation Company: Element Solar Credit Lender: Corning Credit Union Purchased solar panels from Element Solar back on 6-30-21. As of today 10-26-22, the solar panels do not work and have never worked. Have been charged for solar panels since Aug of 2021, after being sold them with an agreement of having the first year free due to them changing the cost and installing different solar panels. For several months I was in communication with Element Solar via email regarding the refund process since I was being automatically charged as well as the fact the solar panels were not working; which was causing me double the cost for electricity. I would email and speak with a representative every month regarding these issues and I was always given the run around and promised the refund was being processed as well as being told of more issues as to why my solar panels weren’t working. Around January the 1st of 2022 Is when i finally stopped getting responses back from Element Solar, as well as I was unable to contact someone via their company phone number. Since then I have card several times, emailed numerous times, & continue to get nothing from them but I am still being charged for my $30k loan for product that does not work properly. I did reach out via phone to Sunlight Financial whom I signed my financing contract with, but was told they were going to try and fix the “de-escalating case” with Element Solar but ultimately I need to address Element and not them. That I need to continue to be patient and wait. I also tried to reach out to Corning Credit Union with their business phone number; which has been changed or disconnected. I am extremely concerned that I have been scammed by Element Solar, I have done my research and read reviews on them which has several others with the same situation as myself.

Solar Install that’s not been completed. They failed multiple city inspections and now don’t respond to anything. This started in June 2021 and should have been completed in the fall of 2021. They don’t respond to calls, texts or email.

We got solar panels installed from them in November 2021. They said that we would not have to make payments on them for a full year as to get our regular power bill down to then pay for the panels. That was not true. We started paying for them in February of 2022. Also, the panels still do not even work as of July 2022. We have contacted them multiple times and they just say that they’re working. It’s all lies. We are now paying the panel payment on top of our usual power bill, which has not decreased at all. This company is a scam.
