Company sold online access to a course which would not fully download. They told me to try a different internet connection, but would not let me have the full value of two test attempts if I could manage to access the full course. Woman over Chat refused to tell me what country she was in and disconnected. Company refused to address the issue that the Clackamas, Oregon site stated their program was not accepted in Oregon. (After several contact attempts over several days to local and state government, I found out this was out of date info.)

The company has failed to issue the certificate and have not entered the numbers on the temporary certificate into the proper database. They gave instructions to wait 30 days for the certificate to arrive but their refund policy disallows a refund if you don't ask for one within 30 days of purchasing the training with certificate.

I purchased their certification test and practice test. Used their proctor which was super invasive. They created an uncomfortable and unreasonable scenario to create exasperation for the test taker. There are multiple reviews with similar experiences. The proctor ended the test. I was told that I would receive a call back and I never received one. I called back demanding a refund and they claim that they viewed the video footage and they refused to provide the refund. When I asked for a copy of the video, they couldn't provide it and have not responded.

I went to the website Statedoodsafety.com in order to obtain a food handler certificate. I paid $10 for the course with my debit card. I passed the test for the certification with a 93% the first time. I was then directed to a page where I could select the means of obtaining my certificate. I selected by email, and pressed that button and assumed it was sent to my email address. I tried the other buttons, but none of them worked. I went to my email, and saw a message from statefoodsafety in regards to my certificate. I opened the email, and there was a button labeled " view certificate " . I pressed it, a page started to load and then went blank, nothing was there. I went back to their website to engage with the chat to find out what happened. I texted with someone named " Anne ". She asked for my confirmation #, gave that , and my email , gave that. She said the certificate could be found in my profile of on their by logging in and checking out "certificates" . I pressed the button for certificates, which took me to a page with two buttons labeled " Download certificate" and " view certificate " . I pressed both and nothing happened. I tried this on two different phones, and the result was the same, nothing happened. I checked my download files on the phones, and found nothing there either. I went back to the chat interface and complained again. Anne says nothing is wrong on their end. She says she sent it to my email. I check my email & find the email from statefoodsafety and open it. I pressed the button for my certificate and again it was a blank page. I then reply to another email sent by their customer service after I complained on another form. This email had another link that supposedly went to my certificate. I pressed that and saw a mostly black screen with an empty video box. The whole experience reeks of a scam or unbelievable incompetence. I took screen shots of the texts in chat , and of the empty screens with no certificate. I contacted my bank.

On 5/18/22, I paid this company (via their StateFoodSafety company) a total of $130 for their Utah state food manager course and a proctored online exam. I scheduled the exam for Saturday, 5/21/22. On Friday, 5/20/22, I found myself with a medical emergency which included being in and out of the hospital for testing. I realized I was not going to be in any shape to take my manager exam the following morning, so I contacted StateFoodSafety via their live customer service chat option. I explained the situation, that I understood it was late notice and that I would have to pay for the exam again, but that I wanted to make sure it was cancelled so as not to waste the proctor's time. I was told it was cancelled and I could reschedule through my account. Because I was not feeling well, I didn't log in to reschedule until Monday morning. There was no option to reschedule. I asked for help on live chat, was told I was marked absent from my exam and had missed my 1-day window to reschedule, and would need to call the hot line. The person I talked to on Friday did not tell me about a 1-day window. I called the hotline around noon on 5/23/22 and left a message for a call back. I also emailed their support email. After waiting 4 hours, I got back on live chat to ask for help again. I explained the whole situation and that it was time-sensitive so I just needed help scheduling my exam. I was told "It's not our job to manage your schedule. You are responsible for managing your schedule" and the representative ended the chat abruptly. Over the next two days, I called, emailed, and repeatedly tried to get help on the live chat. I ended up having to schedule my exam through another site, paying $74. On the morning of my exam, I tried to log in to StateFoodSafety to review information in my course package. I was unable to log in. I tried resetting the password, waiting, restarting computer, three different browsers, and mobile site. I believe I was locked out intentionally.
