      Vivint lied to me they said all my cameras were free cause I because I've been with them since 2017 so I was calling to cancel the service and the lady who i was talking to said since I was in the loyalty program that I can get free cameras and then turn around they took $470 out my account I have everything recorded this all happened October 16th they said I will get my refund back is October 30th and I still haven't received anything and the lady I was speaking with her name was ********* so don't trust *********

      Now I see why they have so many negative reviews, If I can give 0 stars I would, seller ***** came to my house stating that if I switched they could buy me out of my current contract, well, that was a lie, I was told they could only approve me for half the amount, which was not discussed during the visit, I had already cancelled with my previous service, so now I have to go through the trouble of calling my previous service to get reinstated, and then have to eat the charge of getting my service reinstated. After they took everything down, I was also told by the technician ***** that if I decided to not go with Vivint that they can come back and reinstall my equipment from my previous security service provider. Thats was also a lie. They sell the service to you, but dont follow through. Due to this bad experience, I will not be doing business with them in the future. I see why their review score is so low. Should have never answered my door.Looking at all the low scoring reviews this seems like a routine practice for Vivint and the *** that I spoke with, ********, the way that she responded, Seems like they get this same issue every single time, so I think its a scam practice that they are running. They get the commission and the monthly payment regardless, buyers beware. I think they prey on people who want to switch security services, ill pay to get my previous security service reinstated as long as I dont have to do business with vivint.

      So upset that I have to give this company 1 star. I've been with these folks almost ten years but I've had to put up with the worse customer service ever and very bad equipment. Please stay away.

      I have spent the last few months trying to get my service cancel. I have to call multiple times. They try to sell me more services. Last month they said I had to pay ****** to get out of the contract. I paid it and still its not cancelled. Called today and at the end of the call they have a speech they go through and they say you have to say yes to. The very first statement is I have to pay for services for 30 more days. I say no and they say then we cant cancel my account because I didnt say yes. Help!!

      ******* is using a lead generator that calls and hangs up to get you to call back, this avoiding the laws about robot calls. Then they record calls in states where it's illegal without permission. When permission is denied they lie and claim they are legally required to record.Shady company using shady advertising tactics

      I heard of vivint thru reliant energy, I got a plan that includes a thermostat and a door bell camera. Their way of acting is very sketchy, the installer at the end asked for my card as a protection in case I cancelled the service with reliant. To my surprise i get a charge for $7.56 on my card. After a few phone calls it was told it was a monthly subscription of play back dvd. I never authorized it nor the charge. This company is very very sketchy. They already have a law suit going. Beware and do not trust them. Use someone else

      We been with Vivint the last 8 years and has been a nightmare with their equipment. We are so frustrated with their service. Stay far away from this company if you dont want to have a lots of issues or headaches.

      If I could leave a 0 star review I would. The equipment was garbage and had nothing but problems with it to the point I ended up throwing it all away. They gave me a courtesy call today which I told them I'd like to cancel the monitoring service and/or the account. Which they were polite and transferred me to a different division. Once there I went through the process of proving my identity before they would even talk about canceling. Then they told me I had to contact Citizens One to get a confirmation code showing that the equipment had been paid in full. So I called Citizens One and they said there is no confirmation code and that Vivint was notified that the loan was paid in full. So I called Vivint back went through it all again in which they again asked for the confirmation code which I told them doesn't exist. Then told me we would need a verbal confirmation via 3-way call. Which I then told them all I want is to cancel my account and that the loan was paid in full on January 2024. The final straw was when they told me since I was calling from a phone number (my work phone since my personal phone was charging) that I would have to provide a written cancelation notice and that it would take 30 days to process (which means they would charge my account again before cancelling) I told them to pound sand, not my exact words they were much worse, and said I was calling my bank to cancel any future charges. I called my bank and had to cancel my debt card and order a new one just to stop being charged for a service I no longer use and haven't used in 2 years. My words of advice is don't bother doing business with Vivint Home Security they are scamming customers and holding them hostage while charging them more money until you can finally get them to cancel the account. This company should be shutdown for fraud and theft.

      Equipment cheap & faulty. Replacement equipment overpriced. In order to cancel services, you must call. But the call will not cancel services. An email is sent, respond to email with cancelation request. This takes 30 days, during this time they continue to bill your account. (A way to get one more payment from you). Do not use this Company, they are very deceitful, very over priced with sub standard equipment and monitoring software.
