1 starThis branch canceled maintenance contract without warning then wanted to charge me for a call that is covered. I signed up for auto renewal and they declined to solve the issue. ****** was the final person I spoke with and was blocking me from being able to speak to another manager. No one should do business with this company as they will not stand behind their services and will drop you without notice.Review fromCherie C

1 starI scheduled an appointment with Michael and Sons to evaluate an electrical problem I was having with an outlet in my kitchen. I agreed to pay $69 to have them come to my house. When the repair person go there he presented me with an estimate of $****** to look at my outlets. I expressed concern that he would present an estimate without even looking at the outlet to tell me if that was the problem before I agreed to the high estimate. He said he would not look at the outlet until I signed an agreed to the work. The $****** estimate did not even include the price of parts which he refused to tell me how much the parts would cost ahead of time. I ended up signing to have him take apart the outlet which he then told me the total cost of everything --to take apart the outlet and to fix and include the part was ******. I did not agree to have the work done but I still had to pay the ****** just for him to look at the outlet instead of the $69 agreed upon initially for him to come give the estimate. My hopes is that others will report the tactics used by Michael and Sons so that they are no longer able to take advantage of customers.Review fromCharlie G

1 starWe purchased an Heat Pump and Air Handler unit for M&S in late January. The unit appeared to work properly. However, in June, with the onset of the hot weather, we turned on the ** portion of the unit. The ** stopped working in the later month of June. There was ice buildup in the Air Handler and on the lines into the Heat pump unit. July 6, the M&S came out and ran a check after the ice melted. They said everything was running as checked. He turned the system back on. That following weekend the ** went out again. The MS **** sent a guy out on a Sunday (Kudos) and made an adjustment and the system was working again. On July 22nd the system went out again (ice build up on the lines and in the Air Handler unit. We had to shut down for a couple days and still awaiting for Michael and Sons to come out today (24th July). We are seniors and the heat is exacerbating other health issues. This system was rather expensive. How can we get the Michael and Son's **** to resolve this issue, or either replace this system with one that works or refund out money back?Review fromMarie V

1 starInstead of calling me, the senior tenant living in my 55 and older neighborhood rental property called *************************** in ******* ** to figure out why her monthly water bill went from $15 to $100. The technician ********************* verified that the powder room toilet was running continuously and instead of just replacing the flapper, he told her that "due to the age of the house" she needed to replace the entire toilet, install a water pressure reducing valve, and a pressure expansion tank on the hot water heater for over $2000. The house was only 8 years old and he never even tried just replacing the toilet flapper that wasn't sealing very well. He was obviously just trying to take advantage of the elderly woman living alone who didn't know any better. Luckily, she gave me the quote because she didn't have that kind of money to spend. I bought a new toilet flapper for $10 and replaced it in 5 minutes solving the water loss problem and restoring her water bill back to $15/month. Anyone looking for an honest and credible plumber should stay far away from ***************************! They're willingness to victimize those less knowledgeable and rob them blind is deplorable and criminal.Review fromTyleete B

I had an emergency when our ac stopped working in 100. ******* was not only friendly with a great upbeat attitude (I don't know how in these temps) but knew his stuff. He wasn't out there at my unit more than a minute before figuring out what was wrong. Fixed it right away. I was so impressed with his work I automatically signed up for the yearly maintenance program. Can't say *************** good things. Thank you so much for everything!Michael & Son Services Inc

1 starReview is for customer service and tech service. Tech left at 3:50pm and toilet was making dripping sound after he left. I called at 4:10pm because sound continued, and they said he could come back but during after hours between 8-10pm and would charge $180 dispatch fee. Its 4:30pm and he JUST left within the hour, but he cant be sent back to fix something done. I called back, asking for any help, and the customer service agent (Latrisia, maybe?) was horrible. She failed to put me on mute and I heard her laughing to supervisor about how I said I didnt want to pay again for failed service and that I needed help. Reporting on multiple agency sites. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE IN ***************.Review fromJanise M

1 starI thought that I was dealing with a reputable company! However, I have been made promise after promise that someone would get back to me with an update as to when the work might be completed, It's been two weeks and no call back, no communication of any sort. This company might be efficient in plumbing projects, but I would not recommend them for electrical work that you need to schedule. Beware...promises will be made, but will they come thru?Review fromDonald G

******************* was probably the most condescending and disrespectful customer service professional I've come across. I had signed for *************************** to do water removal/restoration due to a failed pump. The foundation contractor said they would handle payment. 60 days go by and I hear nothing from anyone. My business partner says everything is squared away. Turns out the contractors did not pay the bill. On a random Wednesday afternoon I get a phone call from ******************* saying my invoice is 60 days behind. I ask if they have spoken to anyone - she says (repeatedly) that this is self pay, there are no notes, and that I was sent an invoice. So I asked her - repeatedly - to send me an email and put in writing they had not spoken to anyone about this bill over the last 60 days. She refused and said, "So you are refusing payment? How many invoices do you need?" Folks, the Fed and State governments actively discourage people from giving out credit card/payment info to strange callers. Refusing to send me written communication? Incredibly suspicious. She escalates the call to ******************* who immediately tries to strong arm me. "Hey, you can't be talking like this - you need to understand her role," after I've been accused of payment dodging and disrespected by them. I stated that there had been zero follow up in the 60 days and I have a right to be frustrated. **** said he would put me on hold until I calm down. Never in my life have I had contractors admit to me they sent zero follow **** refuse to send me an email about the bill in question, and demand my fealty. This behavior was disgusting and unprofessional. Not only will I never do business with them, I will make sure everyone hears this story.Michael & Son Services Inc

Absolutely terrible. Showed up diagnosed my problem. Charged me $400 and have not been back since. Rescheduled my appointment twice after I had already taken off from work. Once was a half an hour before the deadline of showup time. I run a business of my own and if I treated my customers like this I would probably be out of business. Lies and broken promises!!!Michael & Son Services Inc
