We hired Invisible Fence Brand by Clark Associates in Chantilly, VA to upgrade and repair the invisible dog fence from the previous homeowner. They repaired a couple wire breaks, and installed the latest controller on December 14, 2022 for $1342.00 not including the dog collar. They had difficulty doing the repairs and installation and sent several technicians out before the job was completed. 4 months later the system began having intermittent problems staying active. Upon calling the company for a repair technician they advised me that there was a service call fee of $210 plus a one hour minimum labor charge of $85 despite the system only being 4 months old. I agreed and scheduled an appointment, but before the appointment date arrived the system began working again. This off-again, on-again situation went on for a month. Finally on 5/31/23 a technician came out and relocated the control module from the old location to an outside wall in an upstairs bedroom. That repair cost $335.20. 5 days later the system went down again! I called the business to complain and schedule another appointment for another repair. I was put on hold for several minutes waiting for the service department but gave up and called back to speak to a supervisor and was told I would have to leave my number for a call back. No call returned yet. Additionally, the repair from the 5/31/23 informed me that the polarity was reversed and the amperage was set too high. The 'live' feed line from the old location was underneath my patio which related to my dogs being shocked. Now neither dog will come onto that portion of the patio. I will say that the various technicians that came to the home have been pleasant and courteous and did all they knew how to do. It’s the management that does not do what they need to do to install and maintain a working system at a reasonable cost. This seems to be a business model geared mainly to their profit and not customer satisfaction.
