Called Toyota Flow to schedule appointment for battery recall heck. I was assure all be free. I get hereabout 30 min early ( appointment at 1). I was then informed 1. Battery is not free, only the checking is. 2. ) I have to wait about 1.5-2 hrs since ALL technicians are on lunch. . . Why was my appointment scheduled at 1? Why was I not informed at appointment scheduling that only the initial checking is free! ? I will never come here again. This is my second negative experience with them. The first one a couple years ago was with a sales agent who decided to walk of with my key and when I requested it to be returned, I was informed that I had to wait. This is NOT a customer friendly place!!!!!!Business Response

On or around Feb 25, 2023 I went to Umansky Toyota to trade in a vehicle on a newer/safer model. I had purchased 2 cars previous to this through Umansky. I was told that I was approved with a 1000$ down payment and I gave them ******* in cash and traded in my 2016 Chevrolet. They put my personal plates on the new vehicle, had me sign paperwork confirming it was mine and even switched the vehicle to my name with DMV. On Friday March 17th I received a phone call stating that I needed to bring them 3,000.00$ more dollars or I didnt have a loan. A loan I was told I already had and signed paperwork stating I had. We went to Umansky to figure out what was going on and we were immediately met with hostility from the Loan Officer named *****. ***** threatened us numerous times, he told us he would repo our new vehicle along with keeping our trade in and keeping our down payment if we did not come up with this new found ******* he claimed we needed. This is illegal and fraudulent and it was an anticipated theft on their end. They are trying to extort us out of more money after we signed a binded contract and they accepted cash money in exchange for the vehicle and my signature.Business Response

To whom it may concern,
This is our formal response to the above mentioned complaint. I am very empathetic to these types of situations and am very sorry that the deal could not be completed. As a vehicle dealership, we are a distributor of new vehicles, and retail pre-owned vehicles, and provide service and repairs as well.
As a one stop shop, we offer financing through various financial institutions as well. However we are not the financier, and do not underwrite any loans nor ***** or decline customers' approvals. We provide financing as an option, but the banks do have the final say on any approval, and they reserve the right to ask for additional stipulations at any given time to complete a deal and ultimately fund the loan.
We are not in the business of selling vehicles and then returning them, so we do everything within our power to ensure that every vehicle that we sell stays on the road. Unfortunately in this scenario, the financial institution requested a larger down payment in order to complete the loan. Ultimately until our vehicle is paid off by the lender, the deal is not finalized.
Our contract and buyers orders do state that the vehicle must be paid for in full by the customer or lender, and that the lender reserves the right to complete or not complete the financing portion of the transaction. In the event that the collateral is not paid by the lender, the customer would either have to find another source of financing to pay for the vehicle, or unfortunately return it.
That is what happened in this case. The bank did not finalize the loan, and the customer had to return the vehicle. It is not an ideal scenario for any of the parties involved, and we are extremely sorry that the deal was not finalized. We do not want to take back any vehicle that we sell. That would not make any business sense for us either.

How are you? My name is *******************************. I purchased a 2021 ****** WRX Limited from Umansky on April 13, 2022. I have yet to receive tags for my vehicle. I was issued two temporary tags, and the last one I received expired on May 20, 2022. I have compiled a log of my interactions at Umansky over the months and still have not received the paperwork I need to register my car.I spoke with the car salesman who sold me the car the week of July 12, 2022. At that time, he told me he was going to work on this because it was "outrageous" that I hadn't received my tags. A few days after I spoke with him, I received a call from Umansky with a voicemail from a female employee there asking me to call her back if I was still interested in selling the dealership my car. I never returned her call but instead reached out to the car dealer again, who blamed me for not having my tags yet because "I have tried to call you numerous times, and you don't answerthe phone or return my calls." I was shocked to read this text message from him because I have been working with him since the start, and he KNOWS how long I have waited, and I have been very understanding and kind throughout. I have all this correspondence in a text message that I have saved as one document in a file if you would like to review it. When I responded, I told him I had no missed calls from the dealership except from one woman asking me if I was interested in selling my car. I told him I provided my driver's license and proof of insurance, had already purchased the car months ago, and was very curious about how it was my fault I didn't have tags on my car. I have been very patient and understanding for the reasons I have been given for this not being done but it is the middle of August, and I am driving an unregistered car. At this point, I am just looking for someone to tell me if and when I will be getting tags for my car so that I can register itBusiness Response

To whom it may concern,
My name is ************************* and I am the General Manager here at Umansky Toyota. Since the pandemic, DMV's across the nation have been completely inundated, and turn around time on tags have been extended as long as 6+ months. It truly is a bad spot for the customer and the dealership, and has caused numerous issues for both parties over the last 18 months or so. We are at the mercy of the states DMV, and the third party provider. And although at a dealership level we do apply tremendous pressure on our 3rd party vendor, their completion time depends on when the receive the tags from the DMV.
In the case of this client, her tags have been completed and they are being overnighted to the customer asap. We have reached out to the client, and she is aware that her tags are in route. If she has any other questions, she can reach me directly at ****************************************** We apologize for the delay, but consider this matter resolved.
Thanks,
