I ordered a lift-top table from them. When the two boxes arrived, the box that weighed 116 pounds was almost destroyed and everything inside was covered with dirt, as if the box sat in a garage for years before being shipped. The other box was in much better condition. Unfortunately, one of the pieces didn't have the holes drilled into it. It was in the box that was in poor shape. I contacted them and the *** on chat offered a $30 refund to deal with the problem locally. I rejected their offer and the *** raised my complaint to the next level. The email I received from the "next level" stated:Thank you for contacting Hernest. We apologize for the inconvenience you encountered during installation. We have checked the issue with this hole and verified with the relevant department that you need to borrow the appropriate tool to directly poke open this hole. Please try using an iron wooden rod to offset this hole position. If this method does not work, please send us further pictures and videos to prove it. We will provide you with further solutions to assist you. We constantly strive to better our user experience and your feedback matters. Let us know if there's anything we can do to help you. Kind regards,Hernest Buyer beware. They sell defective merchandise.

They try to avoid refunding you. The 1800 number doesnt work. They wont confirm any cancellation. They just want to escalate the claim. To who? No clue. This place is a huge scam.

This item I ordered came damaged, no instructions, and have the pieces weren't marked with the instruction numbers. It wasn't cheap either, almost $600. They are trying to offer me a 40% refund which is insulting and criminal. The item was made in *****, or course. ****** learned. I will try to get a full refund but who knows. It's a shame that there is no care or quality with many businesses these days.

The company completely misrepresents itself as selling high quality products. They also claim to offer returns / refunds within 30 days of purchase. However, they have not honored this policy for my order despite multiple emails explaining the problem. Please note that I am not simply trying to return something on a whim. The items received to date arrived in VERY damaged boxes. Despite, this I did open one item, to find it was horrible quality fabricated wood (NOT solid wood like specified on the website) to the point that parts of the product were literally disintegrating. The instructions made no sense and were impossible to follow. I have assembled MANY pieces of furniture, and this was by fair the most complicated, with unintelligible instructions, and no online support. Because of this, I decided not to open the other product and instead requested a refund for both it AND two orders that had not arrived. The company requested photographic proof of the damaged packaging to facilitate the return, which I provided. They then declined to process my return unless I could prove the product was "not defective" - so these are VERY mixed messages. I also asked to cancel and get refunded for the items that are on back-order (they are not made and have not shipped), but the company only responded to offer a 5% discount on this order. Why would I want that given all the other problems? They have not responded to my subsequent emails. I have since read nearly identical terrible reviews on Trustpilot and other reputable sources about Hernest. Please steer clear of this scam company.

Bought a kitchen island and they sent a wrong piece that prevented us from building it. When we reported it to them they wanted pictures and videos, which we provided, and then offered a $40 refund to get the piece fixed locally. No local place can fix it, and after spending $500 on this piece of furniture, we cannot get the one piece we need to finish building it. Do not recommend unless you want to waste $500.
