The incident I am reporting just took place about 15 minutes ago at the Winco store in ****** **. I purchased two bags of BF ***** Eye Steak. Boneless which was place right at the entrance at Winco under Extra saving items. After I checked out and as I was walking outside the store, I noticed something moving inside the pack of meat, then I realized it is a live fly that was still moving inside the pack. I took some pictures and went right back to the Winco employee who was helping me out, she immediately called another person, whom I am assuming is a manager, who simply told me that I can take my money back or replace it.I ended up taking another pack, but I feel concerned honestly and rather grossed out. 5/18/2023 10:40 pm

On April 11th 2023 I shopped at Winco in ************** *************************************************** *****. I purchased 2 family packs (6 per package) of Beef *********************. My family has been eating the meat since purchase. We were down to the last 3 steaks. While eating dinner this evening, about halfway through eating one portion of steak, I cut into it again and I saw what I thought was sinew. But after further inspection, and searching, it was actually a tapeworm. Im at a loss as to what to do next, who to report to.

I went shopping and shared a shopping cart with a friend. We live in 2 separate households and were doing 2 different payment methods. We went to the express lane checkout because she had 14 items and I had 6 items. The check out said Around 15 items and since we each had less then 15 items assumed it would be fine. We were then scolded by a person that the original person at the checkout had brought in and then the lead also came with this lady. She didnt identify herself as a lead or manager because she wasnt. There was no posted sign that it was only 15 items per cart even if its 2 separate orders. When I asked for clarification of next time we come in if when I get to the checkout I just need to be holding my 6 items so they arent in the same cart she told me that I needed to stop talking back to her. I told her I was just asking for clarification on if thats how I just need to do it next time. She kept telling me that its the stores policy and I needed to stop talking back to her. If its the stores policy then it needs to state LESS then 15 items in the same cart. I would also like to point out that there where multiple self checkouts open so we were not blocking anybody from checking out. We have also done this multiple times in the past with self checkout with nobody stating it was not ok. If we had gone through the regular checkout we would have had 2 separate orders as well. The people who were in the regular checkout had their carts almost completely full of items. I dont appreciate having my day ruined by being upset for being scolded by a person who is not a manager or lead when I am just asking for clarification!! I didnt raise my voice but she raised hers to talk over me.

Today, Jan 30th 2023 I tried to purchase prepared chicken wings from the Deli at Store #**** at **** AM. The product (salt and vinegar chicken wings) was in the display case, hot and was ready to sell. I was told that the deli wasnt open until 10AM so I was refused service. Since I had promised others that I would bring home chicken I had to buy some day old, less than fresh, cold chicken wings from the deli refrigerator case. Not even the flavor I like. Subsequently, I asked another deli employee for 2 chicken egg rolls and she said yes and proceeded to get the egg rolls for me. I asked yet another employee if the deli was closed until 10 AM. She said yes. Actually, there is no sign about the deli being closed until 10 AM. Fried chicken is sold from the deli and the web URL says the deli is open at 9 AM. ********************************************************************************************* I have been going to this WinCo since it opened and have never been refused service to purchase product that was available and ready to serve until today.Let's recap; fresh fried chicken is sold from the deli, website says deli is open at 9 AM and there is no sign saying can't sell until 10AM yet I can't buy chicken when the product is in the case ready to sell. Really?I guess that fried chicken from WinCo is off my list as day old cold food is just not as good as fresh hot chicken wings. Wouldn't you agree? No resolution or reply is necessary.

On November 14th, I went to Winco food in *********** , *********, ****** to buy an oven cleaner ($ ****). The same day, I tried to use it, it was not working properly. Had a very hard time pumping, only liquid was coming out. The day after, I returned the product. I explained the reason why I was returning it, malfuction, only wafter/liquid coming out. They called a supervisor after talking to him, I handed him the receipt and I suggested to check the camera because he was not trusting me. He was able to check me on the camera, and saw the product I purchase, however, he kept denying I purchased the item from the store because .......the product has a long time expiration date and according to him, Winco would never let expired items on the shelves. I have not bought this product from anywhere but Winco, a day ago, I am honest, a senior, and will never make a big deal about $4.00 or any amount. All I wanted to hear is a sorry or an exchange, instead, the ridiculed me. They should be ashamed to have expired items on the shelves. That was a faulty item. I gave the the oven cleaner and the receipt back and said I will not trust them anymore.Sincerely,Afifa

On 11/6 at 1:47 pm, my mom and I were at the check out lane waiting to add our grocerys to the belt. There was a gentleman that was being told he could not use a credit card and he expressed that he did not speak English and called a friend/family member that could help talk to the cashier so he could understand. When he tried to hand her the phone and ask for help she refused and kept repeating that he needed to pay and he kept saying that he didnt speak English. They eventually grabbed his cart and started tossing all of his groceries back in there and were trying to ask him to leave before I walked up and asked to help him speak to whoever he had on the phone. Once I told them he had someone coming they brought him over to the customer service area to wait. But the inability to help this gentleman and have empathy was just absurd. This was at store #**** and the cashiers name was Ebony F.

On September 24th, I brought my own bag into this store to do some shopping. When I was almost finished, the assistant manager, *****, accused me, with no evidence, of shoplifting. I asked him to name a store policy that I had broken, as Winco has no rules online nor were any posted in the store against customers using their own bags. He refused to do so, described himself as the all-powerful authority of the store, and bragged about having engaged in this same activity five times a day. At times he appeared to have a visible erection. He also improperly and illegally called 911, despite the situation clearly not being an emergency by any reasonable standard. It is possible that he was just lying about this, as I suspect he was lying about the cameras in the store since even if they did exist, they would prove my story, not his.

What date was this product bought? At what store was it bought? Does complainant have a receipt indicating original purchase and date of purchase? Has complainant contacted the store where this was bought?

Thank you for bringing this to WinCo's attention, but there is very little to go on here that ties the WinCo product to any illness.

With a little more information WinCo may be able to provide some clarity and/or resolution on this.

      Thank you,

I am rejecting this response because:

      Sincerely,

      *********************** ******

On my original complaint I facilitated that info.

I bought the product on 11/05/2022, at WinCo Food ************************************, the day after i complaint to the store and I proof of email sent to me for costumer service.

The real issue here is the fact that the store was selling a product in bad condition which go against health and consumers regulations.

I guess their mission is to sell rotten products and cause illness on consumers.

i still have the meet in a freezer, my next step will be make a case in court against Winco Food.
