I had McVay Brother come out to replace all my windows and the front and storm doors. **** and ***** did a great job inside and outside on the windows, doors and trim. **** who originally gave me the quote was easy to work with and I was able to contact him with questions. We had McVays come out and give an estimate for two new windows, door, and siding on our shop. They had previously completely done our house with roof, windows, siding, gutters, patio door and we were very happy with the service many years ago. We decided it was time for the shop to receive the same treatment. **************** and ******* worked through rain and snow showers and periods of sunshine to complete the whole job in five days. We are very pleased with the results. We will and have recommended McVay Brothers to neighbors and friends since our house was done 15+ years ago. We get compliments on it very often. We just had four windows replaced and I was so impressed with the 4 men who did the work. *****, ******, C J, and ***** were very professional in their work as well as considerate of our home. We love the look up our windows, and very pleased with the installation.McVay Brothers, Inc. Response

There arent enough superlatives in the dictionary to describe how pleased we are with our steel siding project! The materials are beautiful and look even better than we imagined. We really love the Dutch Lap style that creates a nice deep shadow and has prominent woodgrain.The installers, ***** and *****, were fantastic! Again, not enough superlatives to describe their perfectionism and attention to detail. Our house is complicated with many angles and they even had to cut trim around two quarter-round windows which required very fine work. We also have two hexagonal windows and two trapezoid, none of which fazed them at all, thanks to their many years of experience.Our experience with McVay has been everything we expected, based on a friends recommendation. They also raved about how their project turned out and how easy it was to work with ***** and *****, who are kind, friendly and very professional. We have done a lot of home improvement projects over the years but none have been as easy and have gone as smoothly as this one. If we could get them out here to finish the job we would be delighted! They have now let the permit expire and have promised several times to get someone out here to no avail. We have made adjustments as far as excepting the wrong door for a discount which we did find acceptable, but it took another two months before the correct door lever and deadbolt were installed. We still owe a balance due upon completion including the inspection. Still waitingMcVay Brothers, Inc. Response

Wow! We JUST had a new roof put on! Roof looks great! The guys all did a fantastic job in horribly HOT conditions. Now, I don't know if the heat got to them, or what, but isn't runoff from the roof supposed to drain INTO the gutters? Instead of extending the shingles out a tiny bit, the roof the shingles are flush with the edge. Also, the amount of debris and nails and wood we pulled out of just 1 small section was ridiculous! That's not a finished job! So, all the way down the entire length of the back of the house (actually turned out to be the ENTIRE house) I can see space between the gutter and the roof. For $37,000.00, one would think they would leave us with a roof that functioned AT LEAST as well as the old one! We still owe $28,000 on the job, by the way. This needs to be addressed and not in 3-4 weeks like the (a 'hem) person told us over the phone. And I wouldn't try to sell us new gutters, either!Update: It's been nearly 1 month since completion. Turns out, the roofer knew he was installing flashing that was too short, but didn't say anything. He just wanted his paycheck. They finally sent ***** out (nice guy and knowledgable about the ins/outs of our situation) to try to remedy the issue, but I'm not convinced it's the proper way to fix it. They simply added another piece of longer flashing over the top of the short piece. I guess we have a 30yr. warranty (maybe) so we'll have to keep an ey on it..Bottom-line: this company is not trustworthy. They subbed-out the roofing part. I don't know about the tear-off and re-sheet. They probably subbed that out too and simply overcharged us and paid them less. They are trading on their previously good reputation.Unfortunately, we also have a window they're supposed to install (6-9 months out). Going to try to cancel because 1. That's too long to wait and 2. I'd rather light the money on fire than give this place another dime! Use at your own risk!McVay Brothers, Inc. Response
