Dear Better Business Bureau,I am writing to file a complaint against ZoomInfo for their unethical and aggressive business practices. We were sold a product that did not work as it was promised and now the company is pressuring us to pay for a service that we don't want and didn't receive value from.During our initial interactions with the company, they claimed that they could create a buyer intent for a number of verticals that we had requested over several zoom calls. The sales person was rude and unprofessional, but we overlooked this in hopes of receiving a quality product.Unfortunately, the product did not work as promised. Despite being assured that any vertical could be customized to our liking, it simply did not function. We tried reaching out to the sales associates but received no help or resolution.Due to this, we decided to cancel the service and made it clear to the sales team that we felt misled and didn't want to continue. However, for months, we have been harassed and threatened with legal action by ZoomInfo.Their behavior has been appalling, and it is evident that management is only looking out for their bottom line and does not care about their offering or product. On multiple occasions, I have formally requested to have ALL of my personal information removed from the Zoominfo database(s). Despite these requests (all completed using the opt-out process provided by Zoominfo) and having NEVER given my permission to use or post my personal information, I continue to regularly receive calls on my personal phone by salespeople and others who have obtained my name, business title, company, email, phone all from Zoominfo. This is unacceptable and is an outright violation of the ******** ************* Protection Act of 2023. Why you all think it is OK to continue violating the privacy of others is completely beyond me. I am rejecting this response because it does not resolve the issue specified in my original request. Yes, I have received emails from the company claiming that they do not have my information, however I continue to receive calls from vendors and others wanting to sell products and services. These individuals use the Zoominfo service to obtain business emails and phone numbers and I have confirmed through them that my information is STILL on the website for Zoominfo subscribers. Once I have written confirmation that my entire profile has been removed from all Zoominfo and its subsidiaries servers, I will consider the complaint resolved.Business Response

I have been receiving spam calls, spam emails, to my personal and professional emails and office number. I called back some of the spam numbers and asked where they got my information from and they said ZoomInfo. I did not sign up nor consent to have my personal and professional information sold or public distributed. I have reached out to ZoomInfo to ask to remove my profile but they require and email that matches the profile that was set up. I did not set up a profile with ZoomInfo and they have then refused to remove my personal and professional information from their website. This is causing a major inconvenience and am I afraid this can potentially hurt my character and my family personally and professionally. I am demanding for ZoomInfo to remove the profile they have created on my behalf without my authorization or consent. I expect this to be resolved immediately, as they do not respond to emails and only redirect me to their website which leads me dead ends.Business Response

I never signed up with Zoominfo or had any communications with them. I have contacted Zoominfo at the email provided by the company, requesting they remove my name and my company's name from Zoominfo. They have taken it down and put it back up again. I am a freelance writer, under the trade name Listing Debuts. They are listing that my company is a real estate company and many other errors. I have received multiple solicitations to my new work numbers. They all tell me they got my info with zoominfo. I filed a formal complaint and added myself to do not call. I am still getting calls. On February 4 I was contacted by a client stating that he was listed on Zoominfo.com as an employee of our company, ************** **** We never provided this company any information about us or our employees. In reviewing our profile on their website, they had just found random information about us from over the years and pieced it together, and while they redacted part of our emails to make it seem one could access the information if they purchased their service, they didn't have accurate information.Our client is the president of his own company and was upset he was listed as an employee of ours on the site. They also had about 20 others we had worked with but were never employees. After a few weeks of emails (they do not have a phone contact), they eventually removed the people who are not employees from our company profile. They said I could do it if I signed in, but to do some I needed to provide additional information, which I can only assume they would use to populate our profile on their site.March 1, I received the following email:Hi ********,Thanks for sending that over. I can confirm ********'s information is not associated with the State Permits business profile. If he would like to have the profile removed entirely, please ask him to email us at [email protected],Tori ZoomInfo Privacy Team However, while ******** is no longer listed as a CURRENT employee of ************** he now has a profile set up showing him as a former employee. Our client simply wants to be removed from their database all together. I feel it was a sneaky way to say he was removed from our profile by creating a new profile for him and listing the information he was a former employee. This information is FALSE and I have been trying to get them to remove his name from being associated in any way with State Permits. A rep ****** was who I communicated with, but TBH I don't know if thats a real person as I saw this name in other on line complaints.Business Response
