I have been a customer for over 30 years. ***** ***** to ******** to Wells Fargo. I deposited mobile checks which they claim turned out to be fraud. Wells Fargo sent me an email stating my account had been closed and debit card terminated. Not sure how they determined the fraud. The deposited money still shows in my account. But they have refused to give me the other balance of my funds for 2 weeks, approximately $550 after deducting the checks in question. And if they determine the deposits were fraud, they will return my original funds less the deposited checks after they conduct their investigation in 2 weeks. And then they will MAIL me a check within an additional 10 days. Funny when I buy groceries the money leaves my account before the groceries are bagged!! And they said I would not be allowed to open another Wells Fargo account. I think this is Senior abuse!!!!!

I made the mistake of opening a checking account with Wells Fargo. I deposited a check on June 7th and they said they would have to place a hold on the funds until June 11th. I was fine with that And I understood. On Tuesday June 10th I check my balance and it is negative. They took the money they originally gave me back and it overdrew my account. I called the back to see what happened and the rude lady on the phone said they were not able to do an overnight verification so the took the money back and placed another hold on the account this time for 7 days. I dont understand why in total they would put a 10 day hold on my check when it only takes 2-3 days for a check to clear. I even call them with a representative from the business the check was from to verify the check was good. They said one a hold is put on an account it can not be removed. This is ridiculous and i dont understand how the can hold the funds for so long. What have learned from this experience? STAY AWAY FROM WELLS FARGO BANK.

Wells Fargo Bank failed to warn me about an unauthorized Online Transfer on March 3,2022, from my Savings Account to my Checking Account of $100,000.00! It should have prevented the fraudster to get a “Wire Transfer of $99,500.00” should I have known that the money being transferred is actually my money and not “stolen money” from World Bank! When the fraudster asked me to check my WFB Checking Acct to check that I “stole $100,000 from World Bank” while I was trying to get my Norton refund and filled up a Form online as instructed. I saw “Deposit from World Bank $100,000”! I was insisting that I only put the amount I’m authorized to refund ($395.89) but he was insisting that he will call the Police for me because I put $100,000 and it’s already transferred to my Account! When I came home after the Wire Transfer (all info for wiring the money was sent through my printer). I checked my WFB Acct again to check if the wire went through, then I discovered that my Savings Acct money was moved from Savings to checking, which was used by Wells Fargo for the wire transfer! I then went back to the Bank to put a Stop on the Transfer, after I attempted to get hold of the Bank on the phone and no answer for several attempts. Banker Alan C*** told me that once it’s wire, there’s no way to stop it! He was the one who assisted me with the Wire Transfer earlier on. At that point, I also complained why the Bank did not notify me about the big amount of online transfers from my Savings and also my daughter’s Savings since I only have $87,000 in my own Savings Account to make a total of $100,000 to be transferred. After a month, WFB wrote me a letter that they cannot return my money! I still feel that the Bank was negligent because they did not notify me about the online transfers which I did NOT do. I noticed the next day March 4, 2022, that WFB was notifying me already about the transfer.
