In April 2024 I ordered a purse online. I was taking so long to arrive and appeared to be held up somewhere. I asked customer service if I could cancel the order and they said no but I could refuse the order when it arrived or return to sender and I would receive a full refund. I did a return to sender. It took Kohls 2 months to refund me, during which time I contacted customer service, all of whom assured me I would get my refund in 3-5 days. All lies. Because they took so long to refund me, they added a late fee to my account. Once they finally refunded me, they left the late fee! So I spent another month with customer service trying to get the fee removed. They finally removed it on 7-12-2024. I was glad to have this behind me. Or so I thought. The very next day I was notified that my credit score had gone from excellent to good because Kohls had reported my "late payment" to them. This is fraudulent. I contacted them and the best they could offer was a review to see if they were at fault. It should have been clear if you look at the transaction and communication history. Now I have to wait several weeks with subpar credit rating while they review. If this isn't fixed, I will have to pursue further action. I have closed my account with them.Review from Maria S

Just fraudulent all around. They sent me an email with a $20 Kohl's cash, when I went to use it, I found out there was only $5 on the coupon. I reached out to customer service via chat and they were useless. I spoke to a supervisor Neo ** and all he did was apologize. I asked to forward them the email and they told me it wasn't possible. It seems like a ploy in order to get people through the door, to then surprise them with a fraction of the coupon.Review from Caroline L

Got a notice my Kohl's card was automatically being converted to a Visa which I did not request and do not want. Spent two hours being sent back and forth between Kohl's and ******* *** who finally said I would have to wait to do anything until after receiving the Visa on or after 16 September. Turns out I actually don't have to wait...I cancelled my card and will never step foot in another Kohl's after being a loyal customer for decades. I was a card holder I made my payments on time every month and then there customer service rep relayed inaccurate information which resulted in a late payment and I requested they remove it off my credit and was told no and this one late payment has affected my score and my ability to get a apt which is sad. I just canceled my card because why would I patronize a company with such horrible customer service. I was discriminated against on the basis of height. I found two pairs of Underarmour shorts on Kohls website, showing that the price had been discounted from $30 to $24.99. I used the website to check and see if they were in stock in the store in my size. I then went to the store, located the short and took them to the counter to pay. They rang up at $30 each. I told the associate that they were $24.99 on the website, and pulled up the price to show her. She said thats because these are big and tall. I showed her on the site that I was buying XXL, which was listed at the reduced price. She said these are talls. I asked so I have to pay $5 more than someone else because Im tall? She laughed at me, and offered no resolution. I then contacted Kohls customer support, who proceeded to get my name wrong multiple times, and create a NEW excuse that pricing on the website and in-store is different. That is not true - the pricing on the rack was $24.99, showing a discount from $30, just like the website.Review from Scott L

Kohls recently changed the terms of service for their credit card, and the new daily accrual (vs. monthly) of interest totally negates any value associated with its use. The notice specifically details the fact that interest is applied from the date of purchase, and is NOT reversed when the total balance is paid in full at the end of the billing period. Instead, all interest calculated from the date of purchase is added to the next statements balance.. Why would anyone use their Kohls card vs. a regular credit card, that charges NO interest if the balance is paid in full? I think Kohls is counting on very few reading the change notice in detail, and I predict a significant backlash when these new interest charges start showing up on customers statements after they pay their balance in full.I am boycotting Kohls effective immediately.Review from Phyllis W

Kohls missed up my Credit history with a dollar applied to my Kohls card, which I dont ever use because I use a debit card. I unaware of the interest that was accumulating. I never received anything in writing. They need to fix their mistake right now. I have excellent credit history. I have never been late on a bill in my life. My history will prove it. I am willing and ready to file a small claims against Kohls corporation.Review from Nez N

I made an order for same day pick up on june 27th 2024 mind you there website is trash so I had to keep going back to get them to place the order correctly before I made a payment. Dis everything went to pick up my order & NOTHING the lady at the store couldn't explain why so I used the help and it stated now my order was for delivery expected delivery on july 4th ***? I made a call to customer service after reching my destination on june 27 Lady was not helpful. I told her this is not what I ordered. I could've just made a pick up at another store told her to cancel my order and she said she was unable to cancel the order unable to refund me that I had to wait till my stuff got delivered and when it was delivered, then I can return it and get a Return it is that OK when that's not what I ordered or how I ordered it come July 5. I make a call around 7:15 AM. Now the gentleman was helpful and it was not his fault, but he tells me they're unable to deliver that item item to the store and he's able to process a refund and cancel the order which will take seven business days to return my money mind you you take it out in minutes, but wanna give people 5 to 7 days to return it. This refund should've been processed on the 27th when I asked since it was a mixup on their end, then he tried to offer me five to $10 in cash. Why would I ever shop with y'all? This is why you're going out of business. This is why you accepted ******* into your store because the store is going down. Customer service is terrible. 1000% horrible experience and your return policy is dumb and ridiculous. Do not buy from here. Do not order anything because you will not receive it. Their website is non functional its 2024.. with inflation and everything that's going on with this world and people barely able to make money to deal with this **** is ridiculous. My Kohls charge card was used by someone else to make an online purchase 6 months ago, in ******* 2024. I immediately contacted the department store in the state to which this thief used my card. The store associate told me it was a pickup order and because the person did not pick the item up, its automatically returned to the account and there will end up not being a balance any longer. I contacted Kohls Fraud Department and reported the charge so they opened up an investigation. I also decided to completely closed my account at this time. Two months later I received a letter from Kohls stating that I was not liable for any payments on the unauthorized transactions and their records have been updated accordingly. The account was also closed at this point. Then March 21, ****************************************************** May I received another statement showing the balance of the disputed amount previously from ******* was back on my closed account and due in June. I called immediately to Fraud ***** and was told another investigation is open and to call back in a week. I received another statement showing a late fee added on and a new balance due in July. I called back yesterday (2 weeks later) and was told they are still investigating and to once again call back, in a few days. I expressed my concern and frustrations. How I do not want this going to collections and this is inconvenient. I was told nothing goes to collections until after 60 days well Im already after 30 days. This matter was already handled yet it was not. I do not trust Kohls integrity nor am I assured by what they say. Not happy with my experience with Kohls and will likely never get a credit card there again.
