Professional Placement Services (PPS) is hired by Advocate Aurora Health (AAH) to collect on debt that is owed to them. If you are stating that this is some type of fraud, a fraud investigation can be started with our client, Advocate Aurora Health, at ************. If you would like to speak to a manager here, you can call ************ and they would be happy to assist you. Our administration team has sent out paperwork on 9/1/22 in response to your previous complaints filed. That information was mailed to the address listed in your complaint. In review of your account, Professional Placement Services received this account in July 2020. The initial notice from our office went out at that time and there was no mail return on this notice. Professional Placement Services has never received a request for validation from you regarding this account. I will have my administration staff send that information out at this time for your review. The said company will not allow my account to be transferred to another collection agency that will better serve my purpose in consistently paying my bill off as their website is not accepting my payments online as previously because of an issue they are not addressing, as I have requested. I only ask to pay my bill as I have, on time with no issues. My bank (***** Fargo) has record of my attempts to pay my bill and has clearly informed me that this is coming from PPS' end as I have no issues with my credit/ check card and my bank, this is confirmed.Business response

We are sorry for your troubles with making a payment online. In review of the account, it appears that our representatives offered alternative ways for you to make the payment if you were having issue. One representative was asking what type of error message it was in order for us to try and troubleshoot the problem to a deeper extent and then appears your call was transferred over to a supervisor to help resolve the issue. Professional Placement Services researched to see if there was an overall issue with our website or if others were having the same technical problems and there was no alerts on anything down within the payment site or signs of other errors. Again, we apologize if you were experiencing difficulties but it appears now that you have resolved this by phone with one of our representatives. In regards to transferring your debt to another collection agency, Professional Placement Services does not have the authority to move an account from our agency to another. It is not a matter of us not allowing it, it is just something that we are not authorized to do.Customer response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
My bank was notified of the matter and it was made clear, the issue comes from PPS end and the agency seems to refuse to investigate the matter which has become an inconvenience to me. I insist that PPS website is having issues and have decided to pay my remaining balance of my bill "by phone" to move on from the matter. My wishes are to NEVER deal with such people again. ***

In review of the account, it appears that Professional Placement Services has a different home address on file. An initial notice was sent out to the home address on 6/20/22 and there was never a mail return received from that address. But I have updated the address to the one listed in the complaint and had a notice reissued. Due to the address discrepancy, I will have a deletion sent out to the credit reporting agencies.Initial Complaint

To Whom it may concern,This letter is to inform you that I recently received a copy of my credit report that your company publishes and after reviewing it I found a number of items on the report that are inaccurate. The accounts in question are listed below. Please send me copies of the documents that you have in your files as of this date that you used to verify the accuracy of the accounts listed below.PROF PL SVC ******* $388.00Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. ****g I have the right to demand that you disclose to me all of the documents that you have recorded and retained in your file at the time of this request concerning the accounts that you are reporting in my credit report. Please dont respond to my request by saying that these accounts have been verified. Send me copies of the documents that you have in your files that were used to verify them. If you do not have any documentation in your files to verify the accuracy of these disputed accounts then please delete them immediately as required under Section 611(a)(5)(A)(i). In review of this account, several complaints were filed previously. The prior one stated that there was misused information and false not 100% accurate information on credit report. It was advised that if this is alleged fraud, a fraud investigation can be started with our client Advocate Aurora Health at ************ or a manager can be reached in our office at ************ in order to assist. It appears paperwork was previously sent out to the home address listed on the complaint on Kenwood ave. The most recent sent on 8/4/22. Now it appears that the latest copy of paperwork was sent back as returned mail on 8/23/22. A new copy was sent out to the address that our client, Advocate Aurora Health, has on file on Forest Ave. Due to the situation with the address, we will have the information removed from the credit reporting agencies.Initial Complaint

The paperwork was mailed out on 8/3/22 to the home address which is the same as listed on the complaint regarding this matter. The validation of debt was sent out to the home address on 8/4/22 after the initial BBB and CFPB complaint were received at the end of July. In review of the account you listed, it appears that we had a different address on file for you and that is where the initial notice was mailed. We did not have a mail return on the notice but I have updated your address to the one you have listed and requested a new notice be mailed to you. Due to the address discrepancy, I have requested my administrative staff to send a deletion request to the credit report.
