I moved into a rental in Hamilton in early 2021. My landlord advised, that through extensive communications with *********, she was told the hot water tank had been paid in full by the previous tenant and I would not have to pay rent on the hot water tank in my unit. Eight months later, my landlord told me ********* had been in contact re arrears on the account. My landlord and ********* communicated back and forth. I was not involved in those discussions, but in September, received a notice of arrears for three months rent. The next day ********* called me re my overdue account. In discussion, ********* rep their accounting generally had been in disarray. I paid three months back rent. I was unsuccessful in setting up an account on line.

May 30 2022 I received snail mail statement $ 18.77 due June 1, 2022. Even direct payment could not make that on time. I tried again to set this up, but could not. I was distracted and put the bill to one side until 8 a.m., June 10, I was now 9 days late for payment.

June 10. 9:30 am., my cellphone buzzed indicating a voicemail message but no telephone number showed up. There was a garbled messaged. Thinking "crank call" I took the option of reply through voice mail. It went into the messaging of Crown Crest whom did not know. I ******* the company and read they are financial company handling o/s credit for *********. I tried again and spoke to the receptionist, who using my incoming phone number had all details of my personal information. She said I should speak to ********* C.S., but since that person was in a meeting, she (receptionist) would deal with my call. My concerns a. accounting history at my address is a mess reflected on my personal credit history. b. bills arrive only a few days prior to due date. c. *********'s credit company, calling me after 9 days affecting my credit history d. messages by ********* are not distinct and phone # does not appear = like scam call.

**************************************************** Simply Comfort had my mother in law rent a "necessary" water softener in 2015 for a 10 YEAR TERM....she was 84 at the time. Meaning they expected her to pay monthly until she was 94. She passed, we are trying to cancel the remaining 3 years and have been told there is a buyout....according to my calculations the buyout should be 36 months x the monthly fee 39.63 x 36 so approx 1430.00...the buyout they require is almost 3 x this! When I try to speak to anyone they really are not helpful at all and just what seems read of a script that they sympathize but there is nothing they can do.
How is this not illegal? ************

      Hi Carmen,

I am horrified to hear this! This is not the type of business that we aim to operate.

I have personally sent you an email and I look forward to resolving this for you immediately.

      Office of the President.

I have recently been in the process of getting a personal loan, during this process I have found that crown crest capital has a lein on my house. When I first purchased heat pumps about two years ago I was not informed that this was part of the contract. Why is it popping up now?
