    I had used this for 2 previous exams. This time they "had a problem on their end" and couldn't establish a connection with my webcam. I spent several hours over multiple days with so many technicians it was at least +10 including phone calls... and they couldn't figure it out. My hardware and software were working perfectly. No updates to be done, Drivers all good. Settings good. Web browser correct. Privacy and security settings correct. Literally everything on my side was perfect. The final fix suggested by the "technician?" To find another computer!!! The audacity! As though it is so simple to just "find another computer." For so many reasons this is problematic. At this point, they have delayed my exam by a week which will negatively impact my applications to my master's graduate program. For ProctorU it is just another day, for me it is a stressful nightmare with long-reaching repercussions. DO NOT USE THEM

    Our support team attempted to resolve the camera issue several times. Unfortunately, something was blocking the camera from connecting. While suggesting another device is not ideal, it is our last step in the troubleshooting process.

    I am a new student at *** and am required to use ProctorU for exams. My first exam went well, but my second exam experience was horrendous! In fact, I wasn't able to take it. My laptop and internet was working perfect and this was an "issue" on the proctors end. The ******* kept going in and out of connection and after 40 minutes I was able to enter the exam only to be told less than 20 seconds later that my connection was lost. The ******* informed me that I needed to download the "Applet" in order to continue. I asked multiple times why I needed to do this as I was uncomfortable downloading anything to my computer. After questing the ******* five times and being ignored about what permissions this would give them on my laptop with ZERO INFORMATION OTHER THAN I HAD TO "DOWNLOAD IT TO CONTINUE MY EXAM" I excited out, and tried to enter the exam again with another ******* telling me the same thing.This is a significant invasion to my privacy as as a student as I learned that it would give them total permission to access everything on my laptop at any point!!!! This is an unreasonable expectation to have on students!!! This company feels and acts like a scam! The "Connection Lost" felt like an intentional "We now need full access to your computer so we can gather as much information to scam you as possible." There is something very wrong with this company and it's business practices!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Proctors are rude, unhelpful and close out exams in the middle of doing them. If I could give zero stars I would.

    This company TERRIBLE! They are nothing but an incompetent clown act. None of the techs/proctors seem to know what they're doing. It will take you hours to get connected to your exam, if you're even able to and then you better hope you don't get shut off mid-exam. Testing is stressful enough already without all the added stress that this company causes.

    The fact that they do not have a rating over 1 star speaks volumes. I dropped out of *** due to them switching to ProctorU.

    This company is HORRIBLE!!!! If your school uses this platform, run and find another school. If you are a school and considering this platform, please find another platform. Save your students the stress and gastric ulcers this platform will cause. They are slow and 99% of the techs have no idea what they are doing. Do NOT even think about calling customer support because they are no help at all. This company is a rip off and needs to be sued!

    If I could give 0 I would, I am a *** graduate student and before my exam I couldnt get in was hung up on twice and then couldnt get in absolutely unprofessional and horrid.

    Absolutely asinine. I spent 2 1/2 hours of them going through my computer to set it up. Start me on a test but it froze so they restarted my computer three times I even talked to management supposedly and I had many different IT and ******* people having me redo the same stuff that I have already done with the previous one and I never even got to start my test. I went through different types of lockdown browsers without any issues but this one takes the cake. I dont understand what their incompetence is, but its beyond ridiculous. I am trying to take a test that is required for my graduation. That is a two months away, but doesnt count towards my grade or my ability to graduate Thats f****** confusing I tried to reschedule it of course told me that I couldnt reschedule because I had missed my scheduled time even though I was there before my scheduled time, but their technicians took so long without actually doing anything that I missed my time I had to go through them again to try to figure out how to reschedule since they messed it up that was a nightmare and itself Separate shoe

    If I could give a zero star rating I would. The guardian browser is absolutely garbage. I just sits there and spins, never loads properly. It will freeze in the middle of an exam and they count that as a failed attempt. When you do speak to someone about the issues they become hostile and aggressive when you rebuke their claim that the problem is "connectivity issues" from my pc and router. I strongly urge any company to not use ProctorU. They are clearly the lowest bidder and the results are shown through there inferior technology and atrocious customer service.

    I have had an awful experience with ProctorU so far. I haven't even scheduled my test yet - the process for getting assistance with testing my equipment was like pulling teeth. The live chat option directed me to articles that I had already read and offered no solutions for my problem. When I reached out through their "non-urgent" contact channel, I was told to "be rest assured that we have live technicians who can assist you" and then my ticket was closed without my permission or a resolution to my issue. Once I got in touch with a real person, I agreed to give them "remote control" of my screen so that they could provide assistance. They just tested my equipment from their end without telling me what they were doing or explaining how to fix the issue I had that was originally preventing me from testing. This included them turning on my webcam without letting me know that they were going to do so - luckily I was "decent," but the invasion of privacy without notice was jarring. Multiple times during the "remote control" assistance process I received the same answer (with the exact same wording) that had nothing to do with the question I asked (about a download speed that was too slow). Communication was so difficult, that I wonder if they are hiring tech support that does not speak English and and so provide them with pre-prepared, scripted responses. I sincerely hope that ProctorU's bad customer service does not affect my ability to take my test on exam day and I will be advising my professor and institution that they do not use this service in the future.
