I was in their debt settlement program and 2 of my debts were never settled in full. The last payment of my *********** credit card was sent and then returned so according to *********** my settlement is now null and void. I was short one payment and since Im no longer enrolled in their program they told me they can do nothing for me. All I want is for them to contact *********** and get the settlement renegotiated so it can be removed from my credit report. Rockwell said they cant do anything for me. It also happened to another loan, 2 payments werent made to National credit adjusters. Luckily they removed that debt from my credit report.Rockwell should be following up to make sure these settlements are paid in full according to the terms they agree on with the creditor. I thought my accounts were all taken care of but discovered that two werent and all they tell me is that they cant do anything for me now. Im very upset and frustrated with them!!Business response

Although the contact person, ***** has been unavailable and said I could contact him at anytime to check the status of my case. So contacting them has been a pain to get updates. Hopefully they will resolve my case soon!

Rockwell Legal Group is a debt settlement firm. I contracted with them to help me settle debt I had incurred. During the past four years the have collected thousands from me in fees to settle this debt. I ended up with a judgement after providing this company with the documents served to me months prior to the judgement date. I called and emailed and followed up only for them to only start working on it days before the judgement. An agreement was reached and a due date was decided. I never saw the settlement or the terms or due date in writing. I did not know where to go to pay or when the payment was due. The lawyer did give me the due date the day after it was due. My last account. The largest account, the reason I signed up for the service remains untouched. I know owe thousands of dollars more in interest. I cannot get anyone involved in settling it to call me or present me with settlement terms. I need this settled or I need my money back so I can do this myself. I can call in, but no one can give info on the status and I can't get someone to do what I paid for and help me settle this. Please help!!Business response

We've come to an agreement. Until they actually do what they say they will, I cannot accept their response. My hope is that this time they will do their part, but they have consistently breached our contract. Once, I've received my refund and they've finally issue the contents of my Ram account to my creditor. I can accept their response, but not before then.

Rockwell Legal Group has breached their contract with me but terminating their agreement without giving me reasonable notice of the termination. I signed with them back in May of 2018 with my most recent monthly draft being October 2021. I skipped by November 2021 payment and my December 2021 payment was not processed (unknown reason) and I haven't had a draft since then. No one from Rockwell via email, phone, text, or mail has reached out to me in ********************************************************* March 2022. Because of this cancellation, one of my accounts I was working with them on is now in a legal status and can't be brought back into the program if I choose to restart it. They've given me the option to start another agreement for the other account that remains unsettled however that doesn't make up for the fees I've paid them for their service as well as the breach of contract (Section 4.2 first sentence). Overall during my time with Rockwell my issue with them has always been their lack of communication in terms of issues such as I would call them and no one would call me back or I would email them and get a response which stated someone would call me but no one would ever reach out to follow up. I would like to hear from someone on why the contract was breached and how this can be resolved.Business response

Around 2017 I hired Rockwell legal group for debt consolidation. For over 2 years I sent them payments of over $300 a month, approximately $5,000 or more before the payments began to be too much I stopped making them because I had received no settlement offers or resolutions to any of the debts. The services they offered were never rendered and Im currently being sued by all the debt companies they were supposed to help me resolve. This is a fraudulent company that only seeks to take your money with no communication or results.Business response

In 2018, we met with a sales rep from Rockwell Legal Group "RLG" (aka Financial Solutions) regarding their credit card debt consolidation program. The program was explained as a loan program, and we would make monthly payments to RLG for 4 years. In return, the sales rep told us our credit scores would drop for the first 6 months of the program, as they asked us not to make any payments to the 11 creditors we enrolled, and the creditors would be eager to use RLGs negotiation services to lower the payoff balances. RLG told us our credit scores would start increasing after the first 6 months; and within a year of starting the program, our credit scores would be the same or better prior to enrollment. We paid RLG $468 a month for 4 years for a total of $32,544, which they told us with their negotiation powers would be enough to pay our debt. Imagine our surprise when the first six months went by, and not a single creditor was paid. When we called RLG to inquire why, we were given a new story. The program was not a loan, but rather a pay-as-you go program, and as we build up funds, settlements are negotiated one creditor at a time. We were furious, as this meant our credit scores would be disastrous for 4 more years. We escalated to supervisors and managers, and although they confirmed we should have been on a loan program, they refused to take us off the pay-as-you go program and would not refund our money paid to date. Fast forward another 6 months and no creditors paid off, we called again and were told that RLG takes their fees first, then begins settlement discussions with creditors. 4 years later of poor credit nightmares, and after meeting our obligations of all payments, 3 of the 11 creditors are still unresolved, our credit scores are still poor, and RLG is requesting we continue making payments or we're on our own. We met our obligation in good faith, but RLG is refusing to live up to theirs, and insisting on more payments than the 48 we madeor else.Business response

Rockwell Legal. Promised to help me clear up some debt. At the time all my credit was up to date. I paid Rockwell Legal for 3 1/2 years faithfully. The debts they settled was, 5 out of 7. I could gave saved money by paying the debts off in full, myself. They constantly strung me along, saying the last 2 were in pre-settlement. They ruined my credit and charged me more than, what the original amounts were. I think I deserve a refund, they didn't even contact the last 2 companies. I think I paid $21,000, to ruin my credit and settle $18,000 of my debt *********** is a complete rip offBusiness response

I completed by program with Rockwell Legal Group in Oct. 2021. Rockwell still has $764.31 of my money that I paid in. I have called multiple times to request a refund of that money and have been told they will refund me the money. However, I still have not received the refund and I have made numerous attempts to contact them both by phone and email and have been unsuccessful getting ahold of anyone. My wife and I were told by Rockwell that if we used their service we would never pay more than the amount in our contract and they would 1) take over our credit reconciliation situation and work directly with the three creditors in question 2) would pay off those creditors as long as we paid our negotiated rate to them and 3) work through whatever legal channels necessary to get our credit cleared of the defaults so that after 6 months our credit score would start to rebound and 4) return any funds to us that were left over as the result of them negotiating better rates with our creditors than what they anticipated in the initial assessment. We paid them almost $23k over the course of several months. We also paid them off almost 18 months early to avoid the monthly program fees (which we were told would end after we paid in full). They closed two of the lower rate accounts without checking in with us (which was contrary to what ***************** our rep- said they would do). They left the highest balance creditor with the full balance and no resolution. At the time of this compliant they have only settled $6300 in debt (of a total ~$30k agreed to at the beginning). They have paid themselves $8700. They have $7500 left in our account and have not closed our debt with our highest cost creditor. To date (40 months later) our credit is still terrible exclusively due to this service they provided. We have been assessed over $2k in taxes by the *** for debt write-offs, and we still have an outstanding balance with a creditor of $17k. We believe we were lied to and taken advantage of and would ask the BBB to take action to help reconcile this situation.Business response

They are refusing to close the account after all of the debts have been settled. I uploaded all of the proof that accounts they have as "pending litigation" are indeed closed and settled. Every time I call to fix the issue I've been given empty promises that they will fix the problems. 1 month after my final payment they tried to restart debiting my account because they wrongfully thought I still owed money to settle the debt. I didn't receive a phone call about that or an email about restarting the debits. I only learned about it after I checked the website. The communication has been poor and infuriating. All I ask is that they update my account, close my account, and issue a refund for the leftover money.Business response

I had entered the program with Rockwell legal group.during the program I had been contacted by negotiater settling my program as it went.i have paid Rockwell legal the full amount to satisfy the negotiated debt.i believe my last negotiation was in may of 2019..all done.well four months ago I went to refinance my home,was approved and during the process they found a lien on my property with a debt to pay of just under ******.00..during my program I was told not to be in contact with my credit cards being negotiated.and that if I had to go to court I would be represented fully by Rockwell .I have been to court multiple times without legal support..I was in court for the debt in question and explained the situation with the judge and when I told him Rockwell legal was negotiating my debt he laughed and said ,it doesn't look like they're doing a good job of it.over the past four months of calling I have been told by Rockwell representatives that all my debt inegotiated and completed..I even have letters from Rockwell legal and reliant RAM payment systems stating that I have fulfilled my payments to Rockwell and all debts were negotiated..they are telling me now that I owe an additional ****** and want to set up another payment..this is not right.this is not how a business agreement is suppose to go..If I had been represented in court or if Rockwell had done their job I would not be stuck with a lien against my home..if I have legal documentation stating that I completed the program this should be enough to hold up in court..I need something done about this.Business response
