My battery was not working I went to autozone to fix it and they told me to go to the mechanic outside to fix and he charge me extra money while when I used to go it was part of the warranty. Side note this mechanic has his own truck standing with same address written and same phone number and standing there charging people extra money for nothing when these things can be fixed within its warranty

Went to my local autozone store for a fan assembly, via **** as my car needs the part to run was told it will fit and it didn't. I was forced to place a second order for the same part still no refund and that part arrived dirty and the wrong size and customer service said they can't help me. We are rural so **** is limited, we were told to come to the store 26 miles away (had to knock on neighbors doors to ask for a ride and pay them 40 bucks) only to arrive and be told oops no parts for you today as promised. Now it's the 4th day we are stranded and will be fired by tonight because the car is disabled due to these 2 wrong parts. We have to pay a neighbor AGAIN just to attempt to get any more parts costing even more money while I incur 900 in lost wages from these mistakes. Was told last night after showing up and no parts as promised that this am I'd get my part and still nothing and it's noon. They have the money for both wrong parts and refuse to make it right or deliver the part. Once I lose my job I will be homeless because of these mistakes and lack of care for patrons.

Ordered a new filter for my vehicle. The local store confirmed the order and sent me the incorrect filter. Upon calling AutoZone they said I would be able to go to the store and get an exchange. I called the store to confirm the correct part was in stock they said that it was not and they would not know when it would be in stock, but I could come in and get a refund. Attempting to do the refund the computer refused it on multiple attempts and I cannot receive a refund for the incorrect part. Ive talked to multiple employees and multiple customer service **** and they have not been able to fix this problem nor show any effort outside of telling me to go back to the store.

So my finance went into AutoZone with a receipt to return some stuff. Idk what happened but for some reason the employee gave it back to her on a merchandise credit even though we had the receipt. Pain but I accepted it. Few days later said merchandise credit was stolen from me and I had the return receipt and so I was told by customer service if I went into the store and got a blank card they would transfer the money to the new card. Ok sweet ! WRONG! I got an email today saying its not their problem if its lost or stolen and that they wont be transferring it so here I am out of money and need that card to fix my car and I cant because they dont give a ****. I shouldnt have to fight for my money! Im gonna lose my job all because an employee decided to give it back on a merchandise credit even credit .

I purchased part# ***** sku#****** from store# ***** and store#*****. AutoZone online and over the phone confirm that this part will fit my vehicle. I open both of the small packages and took them to the tire shop only for them to tell me by looking at them that they are not the right parts. I contacted ******** which is the company who manufactured the parts and they confirmed that it is incorrect and will not fit my vehicle. Multiple times I informed AutoZone customer service of this and ask how would I go about getting my refund. I also asked for a reference number regarding this issue. They responded by telling me that I had to go to a random AutoZone with the receipts and the items and Hope to get a refund and it is at the discretion of the person working at that time. This is unprofessional unethical and unacceptable to me. I believe if AutoZone for whatever reason is listing parts that do not fit a vehicle regardless if I open the package or not I should get a refund especially when the company acknowledges that it is the incorrect part. The customer should never be penalized and told that it is up to the discretion of the person working at the time on whether or not he gets a refund when there's proof and facts that mistakes were made from the manufacturer and AutoZone listing the part incorrectly. They refuse to give me a reference number that refused to tell me whether or not I would get a refund or not. I believe it's absolutely disgusting to tell me to waste time and gas in hopes that I will get a refund despite these circumstances. One item total was $6.41 the other item total was $6.59. I purchased one in ******************** and the other in ******* *******. I need confirmation and a reference number that I will get my refund when I take them to an AutoZone. It is preposterous and asinine to me to take time and gas in hopes that I get a refund when they know that the part was listed incorrectly. I never tried to utilize the parts.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 11/20/2024

multiple times I clearly explained the issue that I am having. Apparently the customer service **** can't read messages through email. Instead of them addressing my direct concerns instead they contacted the stores that I purchased the item from lying claiming that I said they wouldn't give me a refund. So because AutoZone can't read I will explain it again. I never tried to go to any store to get a refund. I contacted customer service with a direct issue regarding AutoZone improperly listing parts. I specifically asked for a reference number or something regarding this issue so that I would not get a hassle if I where to go to a store for a refund. The reason why I wanted to reference number is because the representative told me through email that it is up to the employees discretion at the store on if they want to give me a refund. I explained that that was unacceptable because I spoke to the manufacturer and proved that I did and they confirmed that they even listed the part incorrectly. I don't believe that I should be at the mercy of someone's judgment on whether or not they should give me a refund.  I also explained an issue I had at the ******************** store a month ago regarding an item I purchased and needed to return. Once again I don't believe that I should be told that it's up to an employee's discretion on whether or not I get a refund when I proved that you incorrectly listed the part. Once again if someone could give me a reference number so that whenever I go to a store to get a refund they already know that it should not be at their discretion.

I put in an online order for next day delivery. Initially, when I tried to pay with Apple Pay AutoZone website kept declining my payment so after the second time, I went ahead and transferred the amount to a different account not understanding why my payments were declined. When I transfer the money and payed for my online order through a separate account, everything was fine. There was no issues I received a confirmation email for next day delivery. I then received an email late that night that my order was canceled. The email stated that if I did not cancel this order to contact them, I did not cancel the order so of course I contacted them. A lady tells me that the order was canceled bc my payment didnt go through. I told her that was a lie because I can show her my bank statement that the payment did go through. She told me that even though it might show that it went through on my end, it doesnt mean that it went through on their end, I let her know that the money is no longer in my account. I let her know that AutoZone has my money its not declined. She asked me to send her a screenshot of my bank statement, which I did however she told me it was nothing she could do about it. Not only that those two declined payments from my other account showed ********************** took out the money twice. I still dont have my money back in that account. It still says processing so not only did they take the money out twice they took the money out a third time from the separate account that I paid with. I dont believe it was bc of the payment not going through. I believe they were being lazy and just didnt want to fill the order. Because there is no reason my payment should have been declined when its showing in my bank statement that the money is gone that makes no sense and I needed these things today and I dont have time to go to the store. ******** its giving fraud. I better have my money back or Im filing a fraud claim with my bank.

Purchased an alternator from Autozone store #**** for $395.89 that I took to a mechanic to install in my 2016 ******* ****** Sport on 9/19/2024. Once installed the mechanic informed me that the alternator was not charging the car battery. I reported the issue to the Autozone manager who attempted to test the alternator. He recommended I take my car to the ******* dealership for a diagnostics test to determine if there was an issue with car that caused the battery indicator light to blink continuously after the installation of the alternator. After spending $338.58 to have the alternator installed I spent $228.97 for a diagnostics test. The report I received read that the alternator installed did not provide a charge strong enough for my car battery. I forwarded the report on 9/20/2024 to the Autozone manager and was refunded $395.89 for the alternator. He also filed a claim (*****************) with receipts/report I provided to the Autozone corporate office on my behalf on this day for $567.55. This is the amount I spent to have the alternator removed and the expense for the diagnostics fee. I stopped in at the business approximately 2 weeks later to inquire about the claim and was told the manager was on vacation. My name and number were taken by another employee but I was told corporate would not speak to me directly. Today I sent an email inquiring about the claim to the district manager - his contact information is on the store window. However one month later I am being met with silence. I want to know who I can contact who will tell me about the status of the claim that was submitted on my behalf.

The store one *********************************************** ruined my car battery. I brought in a battery to charge on 10/2/24. I picked it up today, 10/3/24, and the battery is bulging and leaking acid. The battery was working and not bulging before I dropped it off. I jumped it the day prior to dropping it off but something came up and I couldn't run the car so I picked up charge. Now I'm out a battery. The service while picking up the battery was horrendous. The African American woman was extremely rude. She shrugged her shoulders and said "I don't know what to tell you". There was no attempt to resolve the issue. Now I'm out a battery.
