      02/12/2024 I went to Discount Tire due to a Low Tire Pressure light. I was advised that my windshield wiper was cracked. There at the store my wipers were replaced, I was also advised that I had a nail in my back passenger side tire(which was indicated that it was repaired) The next day 02/13/2024 my sensor came on again tire was low in pressure. I then added air again. I was on my way to work the wipers that were installed broke off and chipped my windshield took my vehicle back in explained to the then said manager ****** what took place. ****** stated that he filed a claim. I received a text message from Discount Tire that stated it was a disputed claim submitted. After all this confusion that has taken place. I was there again this past Saturday 02/24/24 with the same issue.

      I have been buying ALL my tires from Discount Tire for over 30 years including Certificates on the tires. I haven't had a problem until Feb 24, **** at the Discount Tire on **************************************************************** store phone# ************.I have a ********** that had 2 tires purchased with certificates on them and the tires were worn very badly. So, unlike ALL my previous experiences at Discount Tires in ***/**** county,....all I had to do was go to my nearest Discount Tire, and they would replace the tires for free and I just had to purchase a new certificates on my vehiicles.NOT THE **** at ***** store.A ******/**************** believe was his name and then his supposed supervisor ***** informed me that tires would not be replaced free and that only a pro-rated next purchase was what they'd offer,...I said that's not what I've been told from previous Store Agents about the Certificates and had previous success at other stores. I informed them since the 2 tires are below the tread wear that I wanted those 2 tires replaced free under the CERTIFICATE protection ( ******************************************************************) and that I wanted to re-purchase 2 new certificates for them. I even said lets just replace all 4 tires, I'll buy 2 of them and the bad 2 under certificate should be free and I'll just pay for 4 new certificates.At the ***/**** county stores I've had no issues....I've even given countless referrals to DISCOUNT tire and been endorsing their Certificate program.I am very upset at the inconsistencies shown at this ***** store, My son drove in from ***** **** to take care of this all the way to *****.

      **UPDATE: Feb 26, **** at 1245pm.    ****, Manager of Discount tire responded to my Corporate complaint today via a phone call .  He said they will go ahead and replace the 2 tires under the certificate, so I agreed to buy 2 tires plus these 2 with windshield wipers installing this Saturday March 3, ****.  Some stores are overselling the certificate coverage and **** reiterated the company policy that a certificate does not cover normal wear and tear on the tires, but that they'll honor it this time.      So, I'll move up my star rating from a 1star on ****** review ( 30 year+ customer) to a ***** on this review out of 5star review...this should have been handled on site the 1st time and I would have continued to leave 5 star ratings.  


      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

      I wanted nice rims and had them installed. That night I noticed adgetation vibration when braking and over 70mph,so the next day I told them. The guy said they would check them again. Right after that the check engine light and traction control lights came on. I told them and the manager but they insisted that they didnt cause it. I asked a mechanic and he did an emissions test. I called the Manager of discount tire to tell him what happened and the manager from the start insisted those indicators were not caused by the installation service. I also heard the manager of discount tires basically accuse me of being dishonest by saying my car was probably already this way. This really bothers me because the manager was very rude and unprofessional in his tone and cavalier. I suspect he told other mechanics these negative things directed at me. This is very disturbing. I just want to get the truth of why these indicators are still on after they installed rims on my car. I feel that since this happened directly after their service they should look at my abs sensors and make sure theyre working properly.The manager referred me to ********* brothers and I dont trust them after they overcharged me on 4 spark plugs and a coil ($421) I want a second opinion. I need this issue addressed professionally and if need be by a higher up management. I have been a good customer for more than 20 years and everyone should be treated with respect. My car was fine before I came there I just want my car back to normal.(no no indicators lights on)

      Today due to the management of discount tire insisting I go to ********* brothers, my car was not assessed or properly fixed by the referral. This has cost me another $1500 for someone else (*******) to fix the work ********* ******** didn't do correctly.

      They need to stop using ********* ******** they're dishonest and untrustworthy.

      Some of the parts they claimed to replace were old/didn't look new.

      This whole horrible experience is because discount tire insisted I go to this mechanic in the first place.

      If the manager was not so unreasonable and cavalier about my issues I believe I could have been on a better path to address this problem with my car. I still ask for a full refund so I can be reimbursed and use the money towards the correction repair

      2/8/23 a rotation/ rebalance service was done @ Discount Tire (DT). ***************** dash warning lights went on when starting the car after service. I notified Store Mgr ***************** on 12/9. He had me bring the car back but were not able to fix it. Later that day he had me take it to Christian ******** Automotive (CBA). After two trips, ************ said he would seek DT's OK to complete the repairs & after that would schedule a service appt.1/9 CBA informed me DT OKd replacement of the damaged wheel speed sensor, only (not the other damaged part-wheel hub bearing). CBA said should the wheel speed sensor replacement not work, they would go from there.1/11 CBA said both the wheel hub bearing assembly & wheel speed sensor required replacement in order to fix the dash warning lights. He asked me to pick up the unrepaired car & said I would need to gain DT/Mr ******** approval to proceed. The same day, I phoned *****************. He said that due to the higher cost to fix the car, his company's policy required the 'claim' be submitted to their 3rd party firm for resolution, **************.1/14 I contacted DT's Customer *************** ********************, & provided CBAs repair estimate & out-of-pocket expense log for mileage already incurred, ~$791.1/16 I got a phone call from ************************* of ************** (FR), informing me that **************************** Claim **** ********************** #************ would be handling claim #******* for DT. 2/2 I received an email from FR offering a $366 settlement (1/2 the $732 repair estimate). I responded explaining urgency to reach a resolution as my cars registration expires 2/29. The car inspection portion of the renewal process would fail with the ***************** being on. I suggested a counter-proposal of $425 for 1/2 the repair estimate plus $59 of actual mileage expense incurred over the 5 weeks from 12/8/23 to 1/14/24.Since the 2/2 emails I have not received a settlement check nor any correspondence from DT nor FR. Its now 2/22.

      I do appreciate the business representative's quick response & hope their efforts bring closure.  However, I do remain concerned, as prior to submitting my complaint to The BBB, I reached out to **************'s sr. claim specialist for the 2nd time on Feb 21 with no response. The 1st attempt was on Feb 2 (no response either).  Additionally, I reached out to Discount Tire's assistant vp for the 2nd time on Feb 21, & again to Discount Tire's store Manager on Feb 21.  I have not received a response from either.

      Thank you for your understanding of my pessimism.  The back-and-forth exchange has occurred since Dec 8, 2023, taking up the business' valuable time as well as mine.  I feel as though I have been patient beyond what would be considered reasonable, and would greatly appreciate a final resolution prior to the end of this month.

      I have received a settlement check for the counter-proposed amount I suggested to the Discount Tire/************** organizations in reference to my BBB complaint ID ********.  While the agreed-to dollar amount was shy of the actual damage-repair estimate & expenses incurred through mid-January, 2024, I am satisfied with the resolution.  

      I would like to recognize Discount Tire's TXD-55 Store Manager for his professionalism and support throughout the process.  As a result of the vehicle damage, he and I have agreed that during future service visits I will request & he will ensure only hand tools are used versus an air impact wrench on the lug nuts.  The magnetized inductor rings on the wheel bearing hub assemblies of other 3 wheels may be subject to the same damage due to the excessive vibration of an air impact wrench.

      I consider this complaint resolved.

      On Saturday, February 10, ****, I placed an online order for a friend to the store located at ************************************************************ for three tires. The website indicated that some form of verification would be required, however, it said nothing about requiring the person to actually be present. This purchase was made online for a friend who lives in California. I, myself am out of state. The website allows people to pay without any pre-verification. Now, after confirming the tow for the car to this store and talking with representatives to confirm everything was good, I received an unexpected call from the store 25 minutes later, requesting that I be present with my driver's license and the credit card to match. I asked to speak to the manager. A man named **** requested that indeed I needed all that. He also added that the credit card had to physically be present with me as well. I ended up having to cancel the order and add money to a totally different credit card that my friend just luckily had with her already. It was an additional $340.08 on top of the $303.18 I initially paid online. I did it because again, the vehicle was already being towed to this store when I was informed on all the rest I needed to do to verify the purchase. **** then required that my friend Facetime me in order to verify. The verification process isnt the problem. The problem is how and when its done especially for customers who cant appear in person because its a purchase being made online for someone else who may be in a different state. I then filed a complaint directly with the company. I spoke to a district or regional manager who went by ***. He was sensitive and took everything I said personally. He also kept stating that the company policy is to verify information. When I told him he was misunderstanding me, he gave a halfhearted apology, rudely thanked me for my suggestions, and hung up the phone on me. I placed another complaint but no one ever responded.

      The business has apologized and promised a phone call to me, but this does not successfully restore me whole. I requested a store credit because I wanted to give the company a second chance to correct their mistakes. Im afraid that simply giving me an apology will not do. In life, we must be willing to compensate and go the extra mile for the mistakes we have made and the inconveniences we have caused others and Im afraid this is the only way the company will understand the gravity of the offense. Unless I receive a store credit, I will not be a returning customer.

      Checking 1911 ************* Signature ***** Card offered 18 month 0%APR, 4% Transfer fee On 2/19 I was charged a interest charge of $46.40 and was told that I would be charged interest on my balance until balance is paid in full. This is a scam and the bank is stealing my hard earn money. This is the second month I've had the card and no interest should be hitting my card until after the 18 months promotion. They have broken there agreement and the whole balance should be written off. I was on the phone and chatting for two hours and the employees were incompetent and couldn't explain to me how the fees ended up on my account. Then employee hung up in my face. This is unacceptable and criminal charges should be filed against them, and they should be paying restitution to their victims. White collar crimes are not victimless crimes they hurt middle- and lower-class people who work the hardest. I've been a member for years and I've always thought of Regions of my forever bank but now I guess you just can't trust anybody these days.

      Feb.3,2024 got brand new tires put on 2019 ***** Silverado v8 truck. Tire size 285 60r18. Performance truck. 12:30p appointment turned into a 4 hr wait time. At 1:20 a staff told another staff that they had broken one of my tire sensors on LF wheel. Pulled truck back in garage to replace with a generic universal brand Discount Tire sold. ******* brand which was not reading on my vehicle computer. Store almost closing so had to come back Monday after work to drop off so they can try n fix it. At pick up I was told they replaced ALL the sensors and they still couldnt get it to read on my trucks computer. On Wednesday Feb.7,2024 I took vehicle to ********************* dealership and got an estimate on the issue. I was told the sensors Discount Tire put was not compatible for my truck thats why it wasnt reading on trucks computer. Mpz was at 433 when should have been at 315. Dealership estimate was $567 to resolve issue of tpms sensor light on and no readings of tire pressure on dash computer. I called Discount Tire and gave them the estimate. The staff then told me that the sensors they put on were the correct sensors and thats its maybe my truck. The argument came to that I wasnt paying for something they broke. I never had a light on my dash nor any problems with my vehicle until Discount Tire put on my new wheels. I spoke with **** and he ask me to stop by to try some other sensors (Hub) brand. He left the sensors in my truck to return the next day on Thursday Feb.8th for him (only) to work on my vehicle. Went there on Thursday after work to drop off and **** was sent home early by the store manager who acted as if he didnt want to help me or correct the mistake his shop has made to vehicle which is now Property damage. At this point its beginning to be confrontational and the problem still isnt resolved. Please help me get my vehicle fixed but not at my expense. They kept my sensors that was broken so I cant say what brand they were. Im sure GM parts.

      I want to file a complaint and know why I as well as other African American customers were asked to pay our total cost when our vehicles were checked in; however I sat in the lobby and watched every white customer that came in while I was waiting to be finished were called, were allowed to pay after the work was done. This definitely a discriminatory practice and I want to know if Corporate Headquarters is aware that this is being done at this location.Ive been a Discount Tire customer for over 20 plus years and this practice is wrong.I will be taking this complaint even higher because I am hurt, disappointed and cant believe what I sat here and witnessed..Dissatisfied customer,*****************

      THIS PLACE NEARLY KILLED MY MOTHER!On or around Feb. 1st My mother took her car here to get 2 new tires on the front. 2 days later, 4 of 5 lug nuts on one of the tires FELL OFF!!! Leaving the car immobilized.She had it towed back to Discount Tire, where they tried to say it was the lugnuts and not the mechanic.Side note: these lugnuts had been on the car for years with zero issues. Also, none of the other tires had loose lugnuts. They proceeded to put a cheap aftermarket wheel on to replace our factory wheel. Their cheap wheel only had non-standard lock style lugnuts, which require a special tool to remove. After spending $250 for 2 tires (1 of which fell off) My mother made another appointment to get them to replace it back with a factory wheel. They said they would only replace it if she paid $600 for new wheels for the other three they tried telling her were corroded and dangerous I inspected the other wheels myself with were in perfect working condition. Took them to a real mechanic and he agreed. I spent my own money (over $100) on a new wheel to make the situation right for my mom. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!!If anyone has questions regarding this review, text **** will not stop until all of ********* knows what they did.************** -***************************** Between the $250 we were charged, plus $150 in towing, $150 for a new wheel, plus $150 in missed wages due to the incident.Weve lost $700 on a simple job that should have cost $250.

      I have been a long time customer of **********************. I have purchased probably 10 sets of tires from them since ****. I recently purchased a set of tires and informed the salesman that 3 of my tire sensors were not working. He state dont worry.. your sensors will start working again as soon as we install your new tires. Total lie. Now I have 4 sensors out. Ive never been lied to by discount. NTW wants $80 to remedy the issue. Last set of tires I will ever buy from discount tire. Discount is right if you mean discount service.
