The steering failed while my son was riding it, he lost control over it and crashed into a tree, resulting in the go-kart being flipped over. The steering mechanism was made of PLASTIC. What kind of cheap company makes a steering mechanism out of plastic! This is an unsafe product to have o. The market l. This could have easily severely hurt my son! I WANT A FULL REFUND! I will not allow my kids to ride this machine due to the poor quality of manufacturing. I will NEVER purchase ANYTHING COLEMAN again!!

I bought a B200 Coleman minibike from ******** Sporting goods on November 24, 2023 as a Christmas gift. The total purchase price was ******. When we opened the bike on December 25th, we realized that incorrect but useable hardware for the bike assembly had been provided and parts of the assembly had already been performed. There was also oil already in the engine. We were able to finally get the bike together using the provided bolts and got the engine started. The bike never would idle correctly and sounded like it was always flooding. The pull string to start the bike then started malfunctioning so the bike was unable to be started again. I contacted Coleman and they advised me to take the bike to a service center. They advised that there was no oil in the bike, but I think it was something else due to the fact the bike had already been worked on before we removed it from it's packaging and we checked the oil prior to it's operation.

We purchase Coleman utv400 from TRactor supply. $8000 right away there was an issue with the reverse not wanting to engage. We figured it was just new and needed to be worked. We only have 100 miles on the unit and the miles are going forward! Yet most recently the reverse stopped engaging completely. I seeked advice from Tractor supply they submitted a complaint to quality. (*****) She stated we are NOT the first complaint t regarding this. I submitted to ****** and they said I was 7 days past the warranty so they would not help! We literally have 103 miles on the machine it is a year old and this is common issue according g to ****** reviews

      Hello,

I appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We did review the case and it seems that the reason why the case was closed was due to the year warranty expiring with no known issues until now. I will have a member of our leadership sent out an email with some steps that might be able to assist you correcting the problem.

      Thank you

My 3 month old Coleman Golfcart would not move so I called ****** for warranty repair. ***y sent me to a one man repair facility 60 miles away, although several repair shops were within ***** miles. *** claim number is #*****. Over 30 days later, the repair shop has been unable to secure basic parts manuals or trouble shooting guidance from either Coleman or Kandi, the manufacturer. *** repair shop needs these materials to perform a proper diagnosis. I am frustrated with the apparent lack of Coleman support for basic warranty repair. *** wait time is unacceptable. I've called Coleman several times and have had limited success. At this point I want the golfcart back within 7 days fully repaired, or a brand new replacement, or a full refund.

I initially received a phone call response from Coleman within hours on Wednesday, stating that I could pickup the golf cart and take it back to Lowes for a refund. This would normally have been acceptable except the repair facility would not allow me to pick up the golf cart. Coleman rep ******* quickly called me again and stated that he had to work out some details. I called ****** the next day on Thursday and asked what was going on. The agent said ******* was in a meeting and he would have him reach back to me. I still had not received a reply back by Friday afternoon. I e-mailed ******* on Friday and asked why Coleman is dragging this out again? I still have not received a reply from Coleman over 48 hours from their initial reply on Wednesday.   I strongly suspect that I am caught in a dispute between the repair facility and ****** over previous repair tickets (not mine) that have not been resolved. Consequently, I've become a hostage until the repair facility and Coleman settle their differences.

In summary I've been without my golf cart over 5 weeks on what would seemly be a simple warranty repair. I was finally promised a full refund and now my golf cart is held hostage and I can't pick it up. Coleman won't even give me an update or tell me what is going on. I seriously wonder if Coleman is working the issue in good faith.

I have had a problem with when you start my utv400 , it will not idl. This happens at different times. It is not constant. I had it in he hop back in June. I thought it had been fixed. I brought it back home and had not ran it again until the first of august. It is doing the same thing. I reported it again on august 24. I still have not gotten a shop to carry it to. I bought this to use hunting and we are now only a couple of weeks from the start. I called back yesterday and was promised that someone would call me back by the afternoon, no calls. I do not get any information back from them. I asked originally if I I could take it back to the first person I took it to and ws told they would have to set it up again. It should nt take a month to set up a appt. I need this fixed(NOW) .

We bought a Coleman Go Kart from ******** in ********, ** on 7/20/23 for ******** for our 4 children's birthdays. We gave them the cart the next month. This go kart is extremely dangerous. The brakes stopped working very soon after getting it. The chain continuously would pop off. Metal shavings in the differential and the Kart will also take off on its own when you start it and its in neutral. My fianc is mechanically inclined and is sure it's assembly wasn't correct. I contacted Coleman Powersports for the warranty. It took me multiple emails/calls to get them to respond to the problem. I honestly do not think they were going to get back to me because the last time I called the warranty person said they didn't have the information they needed (which I had sent three times). I initially contacted them august 24th and just last week they agreed to refund if we take the unit back to the store (after I called them yet again). I told them that it was most likely that the store poorly assembled the unit. They agreed and said they were sorry that happened. I called the store manager and she reported that the units come preassembled in crates from the company, so Coleman was fine to pass the blame on the store. My biggest issue is that the store no longer has any more Go Karts and quite honestly I want nothing to do with another Coleman product again. There are no other placed to buy go karts around my area other than Colemans from a tractor supply and we have 4 very disappointed kiddos, which I can get over that. But I can't get over the fact of how dangerous this unit is. I also forgot to mention the wheel almost fell off as well while they were driving it! My fianc had an idea that if we kept the old unit and used the refund money to buy another he would have the parts necessary to fix it if needed (he is able to do so, we just thought since it was brand new that the company should be responsible). I think that this is the fair way to resolve this issue. Or I want something done differently and also am very upset that my kiddos could have been hurt.

      Hello,

We apologize for the inconvenience caused, I reviewed your case and see that the Return Authorization has been already processed for this matter. The exchange of unit depends directly on stores availability. I would also like to mention that when we process a return authorization, they must be taken back to the store, this is mainly to avoid faulty parts being used on new units causing further issues.
Again, I apologize for the inconveniences this may have caused, I left you a voicemail and my extension number, if you want to call back, feel free to do so.

      Have a nice day!

Yesterday, September 5, 2023, my landlord and ex-supervisor *****************, purchased a Coleman Gas Powered 196cc B200R Minibike for $799 from TSC Tractor Supply in ********** **, and after spending an hour getting the thing to start up, I left it running for 3-5 minutes in the yard to warm it up, but it cut off and now will not start at all. This is ridiculous as I have found numerous posts online claiming these are sturdy reliable vehicles, but this thing would not even last long enough to drive around the block before it broke down on me. I feel like I was purposely sold the junk bike, with no intention of it ever actually running, and they just wanted my $800 for themselves. While I understand that to big-time frauds like them, $800 is not a lot, to me, it is a critical amount of money to throw away on a piece of snapped-together sweatshop garbage that will not even start up.I am requesting to either be allowed to return the bike for a refund or that a replacement be shipped to me in exchange for the large payment they have gotten from me. I do not think it is unreasonable to expect a well-known company like Coleman to stand behind their products and services.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.
The entire situation was resolved by the merchant who sold me the mini bike in question, in that they had a 30 day return period for item sold at their location, and they honored it with this purchase.
      Regards,
