Best fares airline Travel agency supposedly based out of Tucson Arizona. Advertised flights to cancun Per person $228 round trip. After purchasing 2 tickets. I received an email saying that those tickets were no longer available. But that they could sell me Some That were over nine hundred dollars. I declined and went back on their site and purchased a different flight for the same amount grand total $455. Again I was contacted through email and informed that those seats were no longer available But they would sell me Some for $1100 and that my card would be charged as delta airlines, just reply I agree. Hence we call the customers and tell them we do not have availability for the flights booked we can try and offer something else. To summarize this , we only sell what we have available and we have many customers who are happy the service we provide. The response of the business does not address the use of BBB symbol and accreditation claims, despite having the grade of "F" and not being Accredited. Furthermore I have just visited the site a week later and the same prices and flights are still posted including the ones I attempted to purchase. This company can not provide these tickets at the prices shown, but continue to have them posted. When I did call a week ago the person I spoke to cut me off as I was speaking and only offered a flight for $600 more than what I was supposed to be paying. The price quoted was not the lowest legitimate price I had found.Initial Complaint

Hello: This business does false advertising on their website. Twice I have tried to book a trip with them. Once in December 2022 and again in August of 2023 for a flight in December. Both times their website shows/offers a price of $216.00 RT or $205.00 if you call them. I tried to purchase and both times was contacted saying that the fare is unavailable and their website is being updated and the people who work on this was on vacation so it would take 10 days to update the correct prices. The prices never updated! They then tried to sell me a ticket for double/triple what their offer was. Their website cannot be upgrading for a year and a half because these people are still on vacation. I want them to honor the price they show on their website. It's false advertising.Business Response

I do not accept this business' response. I just checked again and the prices are still $216 and for more than 1 airline. I work in retail and under the Weighs and Means Act, we must honor the price listed on an item if the register rings at a higher price. Well, the website price is the item on the tag and the call/email you receive once you "purchase" the ticket saying I'm sorry that fare is no longer offered but we can get you the same fight for 5-6-7 hundred dollars is unacceptable. Not everyone is in the 1%. This is heartbreaking especially when you are trying to go see loved ones and you think you scored a deal.

on November 11 2023 i bought tickets from this company then received a email mail saying they would let me know when tickets we ready.one hour later i called them to get an answer. they told me it would be 2 to 3 hours. So i called back in 6 hours they said they could not get tickets that were quoted on web site but can get them for about 150 dollars more a ticket. I said no thank you. they said they would send me a new email to close the contract. I have not yet received that email. I consider the a BAIT and SWITCH. They should be closed down!Business Response

On 10/19/23 I made a reservation online through the company’s website. On the same day I was contacted shortly after that my reservation could not be confirmed, which was not an issue, and I asked to cancel my reservation. After a lot of back and forth with the representative trying to find alternative flights even though I repeatedly stated I wanted to cancel my pending reservation, the rep finally agreed and emailed me stating the request was cancelled. Now on 10/20/23 I have the same rep from the company calling me again about about flights after I already canceled my request and did not ask for any follow-up calls or flight information to try and book a different flight. After explaining I didn’t not want to book a flight and blocked the company number, the rep proceeded to call me AGAIN from a different number. This practice is inappropriate, I want the company to stop calling me and trying to sell me on flights I am no longer interested in but for a trip I am no longer going on.Initial Complaint

On May 19, 2023 my credit card was charged $1032.50 for Delta Airlines (which I note just today shows Delta in Sheridan, WY) with a separate charge of $219.50 by Best Airfares for 4 flights from Las Vegas, NV to Aruba via Atlanta booked through BestAirfares. I have printed confirmation of our e-tickets, flights and seats from Delta dated 5/21/23. Over 4 months later and just 4 weeks before the trip, on 10/6/23 I received an "Auto-Reply" email from Delta advising that they received an email cancelling my flight and were processing a refund (which would only be an e-credit against other flights). I had sent them NO email; ultimately being told in one of my many long telephone calls with Delta customer service that BestAirfares (AKA Hot Flight Deals of Sheridan Wyoming) had cancelled the flights! I had absolutely zero communication from BestAirfares since the initial transaction was concluded in May; no notice from BestAirfares that they cancelled anything. Having now researched BestAirfares on BBB while on lengthy phone holds and seeing many complaints, I next called and spoke with BestAirfares in the person of a very thick foreign accent claiming his name is "George Bailey" (right - of It's a Wonderful Life) who told me that my flights were cancelled by Delta because they had emailed me to get my seat positions and/or a changed flight and because I never responded, Delta cancelled the trip. He had the AUDACITY to try and double down on me, telling me my refund will come through in a few billing cycles and he could book me new tickets today! I declined. I have spent another 1.4 hours on the phone with Delta today - ultimately they advised me that "Delta's not touching this" because "Corporate Security is involved". Today I also filed a dispute on all charges with my credit card company which I intend to pursue vigorously. Along with my refund, I intend to help BBB and/or prosecutors address the actions of BestAirfares to the full extent of the law.Initial Complaint

Do not use this agency - they misrepresent there flight options! I booked a roundtrip flight on bestairfares.com for $608. I received a pre-booking email that stated I would be contacted by an agent. I missed the call by an agent and received a voicemail to return the call as it was "URGENT". I called back and was informed this discounted rate is provided if I do not have any personal items, carry on items, and do not intend to check any baggage. THIS IS NOT REPRESENTED ON THE WEBSITE and IT IS NOT REFUNDABLE. So, I had to "upgrade". For the same flight, pinned into a corner to pay $979! I informed them they misrepresented the flight options as the details of no baggage allowed wasn't listed anywhere. They threw this back on me saying that some people fly without baggage. I attempted to purchase tickets on 9/17/2023 for a trip from RDU to BNA, the cost was $572.20. Bestairfares stated the charge didn't go through and was declined but it clearly posted to my credit card. I called my CC company and I was told nothing is wrong with the card and the $572.20 is showing pending - this was on 9/17/2023. The representative ******* told me the ticket prices have changed and now the charge will be $694... I wasn't happy but it was still cheaper than other options. That charge went through fine but now both the $572.20 and the $694 hard posted to my credit card. When I spoke to ******* I was told the charge didn't go through but something about the conversation made me feel he was lying and they caused an issue. All I'm told is the charge is declined, my CC states I was fully charged both and now I'm having to jump through hoops with my CC to dispute the $572.20.Initial Complaint

I made a reservation with the agent and received my E-ticket (this is after they uphold me for luggage and seat rights, as well as tried to double charge me flight costs). The next day the agent cancelled my booking. They did not tell me they cancelled my booking nor did I authorize it. The cost of the ticket was given to me as flight credit with the airline. I didn’t find out until 13 days after the fact that they cancelled my booking. Now I am left paying for an agent fee of $264. I have tried to contact them many times but my emails and phone calls go unreturned. Now I have to rebook my flight myself and the ticket prices have doubled since the time of the original booking (since the agent did not tell me they cancelled my booking) If others of you have experienced the same thing, call your credit card company and file a fraudulent charge for the agent fee. Please also call the Airline Reporting Company at 855-816-8003 to report that an agency is doing fraudulent practices for company. These people working on the other end of the phone when you book are from the Middle East and just trying to get your money for the agent fee. Beware! Dear Madam/sir On 10/14/2022 I booked 3 tickets from SJC to FLA through Bestairfares website, first I asked for the price that they advertised on the website, but they said they don’t have that price anymore and gave me the high price, when I booked the tickets they split the charge $689.40 to Bestairfares and $861.60 to United Airline and gave me confirm #2NU9HE for Bestairfares and BBH2YO for United airline, next day they gave me Etickets. About 10 days before my trip, I found out the tickets had been cancelled. I have to buy another 3 very expensive tickets for that trip, after my trip I called them about 35 times within six months 1/2023 to 5/2023 ask for refund, I talked with so many of them, they always said, “don’t worry, we will refund your money” and ask me to call back, sometime 3 weeks, sometime 2 weeks sometimes 2 days, sometimes 2 hours, some of them told me that they already credited back to my credit card, some gave me refund conformation number but they are all fakes and liars, I made a last call about 6/2023 they said the tickets are none refundable, this is not true because when I contacted United airline, they investigated for couple weeks and credit $861.60 to my credit card on Mar/03/2023. (See attachment). I went to Bestairfares website forum, many people complained about their website they always do good promises and ask customers call back if they already paid them until customers give up, as my case I spent too much time for, but they did not solve this issue. I think Bestairfares doesn’t want to refund money to customers, they make customer spend time on the calls because they know that customers won’t have time to call them day after days so then they keep the money.
