I own an Auto Transport business All Aboard Auto Tranport. A1 has been using my companies name and likeness for years at this point. They advertise my companies name under their web address to divert customers that are searching for us. they click on the link to get a quote they think is from our company only to have A1 hijack that info and sell it to other companies that ring your phone off the hook, I already know they are going to play ignorant about how it happened and blame my company for listing on their directory. absolutely not so! This is intentional by there web site developed as directed by them. They do this to all companies with high ratings to pilfer customers and sell the info to the companies that buy their leads. All A1 is, is a lead aggregator that sell your info to 10 other companies a pop while telling you to get a free quote. Remember when it's free YOU ARE The PRODUCT. They are an underhanded company that has been doing this for years. They play innocent as do all criminals. I am not interested in a response that makes them look as if they are doing nothing wrong when they intentionally are doing this. The sad part is by the time anyone gets to read this it will be too late. i don't accept their excuses ahead of time and no I am not satisfied with the response they will give. It will be lies anyway. Buyer beware. They know how to reach me. After all they diverted my info to them anyway, so call me before my attorney calls you, this has been going on for years and I am about ready to collect for all the lost business.Business response

The Website for A1 has a tool for calculating a quote and cost for a tow for your or just a vehicle. The process is quite and didn't raise any red flags. but once I finished typing in some information and sent it away I immediately started getting texts and emails with broken English that used my name and my car I needed towing. And over the next couple of hours have received literally dozens of calls, texts, and emails of Scummy or complete scam sounding companies all offering services or just calling and not saying anything or immediately hanging up. Unfortunately now that I've done some research it shows that this site is just one giant scam. but I am still receiving scam calls and text and they will not put a stop to this. which brings me to putting in this complaint. I simply wish they stop send out my info and allowing other scam companies to bother me endlesslyBusiness response

I was looking for a company to ship my car when I came across A1 Auto Transport. Their website looked legitimate and so they seemed reliable, and nowhere when I was entering my car information for a quote did it state that they would be selling my information, nor did they explain that they were a middleman collecting leads. Within seconds I started receiving emails, texts and phone calls to my personal cell phone from all these different companies I did not know. I used their website to get a quote for transporting of a boat. I thought I was getting one quote from the company but instead was bombarded by texts, calls, and emails of quotes from other companies. Reading other complaints on BBB website, there is nothing on their website that states your personal information will be sent directly to other companies so they can contact you directly unless you opt out. I have a screen shot of website to verify, no warning or opt-out is stated. It instead looks like they will give you a quote but they instead are just a lead company...false or deceptive advertising. Also, they hung up on me several times when I tried to address the issue directly with them.Business response

*************************************** **** has no affiliation with A1Autotransport. They continue to use our name and likeness without our consent. The phone numbers displayed siphon business off from ** by misleading customers into thinking they are contacting us. We have requested multiple times via email and phone all to have us removed from their website. They have not done so and continue to use our name to further their business interests. They are not a transportation company. They are a lead generator. Upon filling out my information, my contact information was sold to dozens of other auto transport companies with my phone, email, and text messages being blown up over the last few hours. In fact, our form states in large text that you can get quotes from 'trusted auto shipping companies'. We also have a link for opting out ahead of time here *************************************************, a way to unsubscribe here *************************************************, and we clearly list our terms and conditions here **********************************************************. We even list the purpose of the website here ************************************************************* which clearly states that we are provided a fee by auto transport companies for referring business to them.
I'm sorry to hear that you were not aware that we are a lead gen ******** we suggest reading the terms which are listed all over our site before filling out the form. While not all users like getting contacted by multiple brokerages, we have been doing this a long time and frequently get customers thanking us for how easy we made it to help ship their car with our network of auto transport brokers who we thoroughly vet before allowing them to join.

I filled out the online form to get an estimate for my car to be shipped, and they released my cell phone and email to numerous companies. I've been receiving nonstop emails, texts, and phones calls from various shipping companies giving me estimates. I did not knowingly give them permission to sell my information. Not to mention, my junk folder is now stacked with spam emails. There is no way to make this stop. They must be explicit about what they are doing with people's information. This is unethical and I'm extremely angry.Business response

This company quoted us $600 to transport our vehicle ***************************. We also paid them a $280 deposit that we were told would come out of the total $600. Once they arrived to our destination with our vehicle they told us the price was now $900 and we had to pay them that price if we want our car. They also said the deposit would not count towards the total price. When we called the broker to get our car he stated for us to pay it if we want our car and then hung up the phone on us. The total price to have our car went from $600 to $1,180.Business response

This company seems is a scam. I filled up the form for auto transport and got a call from a very unprofessional sales person. And when i asked for the quote before i decided, he got rude and used foul language, and then texted me a very rude and vulgar message. Stay away, this feels like a big con job!Business response
