On January 3rd, 2025 I contacted RingCentral to inquire about an additional line to start a new small buisness. The representative walked me through the features and asked me questions, which I told him I only need one number that I want to call and text from, so he said that the best plan would be the unlimited calls and 100 texts a month plan, which I agreed. AFTER I signed up for the service I received a note that I had to 'register' somehow to someone and in 30 days my texting feature would be available. I had to pause all of my marketing materials from being mailed out since I was not able to use the texting feature with my new business number. They were good about calling me to check in on me however, each person that called me had no idea how to help. I watched video after video of how to get this registered with no success. Seriously at one point in the how to register to submit your text feature for approval you need a whole website with certian verbiage for them to even consider allowing me to text from this number. After hours and hours of trying to figure this out I called to cancel. They said too bad so sad you signed up for a year. I don't even use the phone number, it's useless to me at this point and I have had to stall my new business until I can go buy another phone so I can use it without all this hassle. I just want to cancel my service and be refunded what I have paid to them since I have not used the service at all.Business Response

Ordered phone services under a free trial 30 days. Cancelled a few days later 02/05/2025 (after an hour wait on the phone). See attachment for call log. Company makes it very difficult to cancel after starting the trial (no online cancellation, no chat and no email cancellation). Still have not received a refund after multiple phone calls including another hour+ call today (03/05/25).Business Response

Ring Central tried to renew my contract automatically against a debit card that no longer exists. My account, along with my ability to use the related phone system and my associated business, was suspended without notice. No emails, phone messages, or text messages were sent to me by their supplied number or my accessible numbers/ addresses.Looking to cancel my account due to this situation, the inconvenience it caused my clients and myself, and that the service that they provided was subpar, I called their customer service and was told that I needed to pay or my suspended account would be sent to collections.I don't foresee this situation being resolved short of my refusing to pay for my contract to be renewed or my account being sent to collections. Date of Original Transaction: January 8, 2025 Original Transaction Amount: $920.34 Refund Amount Promised: $368.13 Refund Confirmation Number (Provided by RingCentral): ********* Refund Processing Date (Claimed by RingCentral): January 17, 2025 Payment Method: ACH Transfer Description of the Problem:On January 8, 2025, we paid RingCentral, Inc. $920.34 via ACH transfer for a yearly subscription to their services. Due to financial constraints, we had previously contacted RingCentral and explained that we could no longer afford the full subscription. After discussions, they agreed to refund us $368.13, once we paid the full service amount, which we did. On follow up, they provided us with refund confirmation number *********. They claimed this refund was processed on January 17, 2025, back to the same ACH account used for the original payment.However, as of today, March 28, 2025over two months laterwe have not received the $368.13 in our bank account. We filed an ACH claim with our bank to trace the refund, but they were unable to identify any corresponding transaction. We have contacted RingCentral multiple times to resolve this issue, but their responses have been unhelpful, merely reiterating that the refund was processed without providing proof or further assistance. This lack of resolution has caused significant frustration and financial inconvenience.Desired Resolution:We request that RingCentral, Inc. immediately process and verify the refund of $368.13 to our original ACH payment method, ensuring it is successfully deposited into our bank account. I have been informed that, and replacement devices was supposed to be received by March 7-10 I called to follow up and was told the order hasn't been shipped because it was never in stock. That they would have to send and upgrade version, and it would reach the address provide again another date and it was March *******. Call the company back and the device still hasn't been processed and shipped. On the March 24, 2025, spoke to a customer rep. *** reassured the reorder of the product was completed and a tracking number would be a provided and the device should be expected by March 27, 2025. Calling the ************ back at the following number ************** was told. the device was still in process and hasn't been shipped yet. I am asking for help to receive my replacement ring camera to protect my home. A track number has never been provided. Device is still under Warranty .Business Response

I am filing a formal complaint against RingCentral due to improper billing practices and lack of customer service resolution. Issue Details: Prorated Refund Denied: We previously canceled lines and received prorated refunds. However, despite following the same procedure, RingCentral has now refused to provide the refund. Unauthorized Charges: A new line was added to our bill without our request, and the account shows that we will still be charged for it on the 4th. Cancellation Confirmation: We want to ensure that our cancellation is effective immediately, that there will be no further charges, and that we receive the prorated refund we are entitled to. We have attempted to resolve this matter directly with RingCentral, but they have not provided a satisfactory solution. RingCentral has destroyed my business's credibility in less than 2 months. I've been using the same phone number for my business for over 3 years, and I switched from ******* to RingCentral in order to start adding more employees and available lines. After the switch and when I already paid is when they dropped the *** registration bs on me, and now I cannot even reply to texts. Mind you, texts have been my company's MAIN for of contact for over 3 years. Now I have to reply to people on a separate line, which has been making my potential customers feel like they're being scammed because I CANNOT F****** REPLY ON THE BUSINESS LINE I'VE BEEN USING FOR YEARS! So imagine you text a business number, but receive a reply from a different number than the one you texted - sketchy, right? I am filing a complaint against RingCentral due to their deceptive cancellation and renewal practices and procedures. My account was fully paid on 12/28/24 and there are no outstanding balances. I have reached out and have an ongoing cancellation support request under case #********. I have also reached out to our account rep ******** *. which she stated she could not assist me. I first tried to cancel on 3/5/25 after successfully porting my number out on 2/14/25. After porting my phone number to a new provider, I clearly communicated my intent to cancel my RingCentral subscription. Despite this, RingCentral has made it impossible to cancel by: Disabling the cancellation button within the admin portal. Refusing to process my cancellation request, even though my number has already been ported. I have contacted RingCentrals customer support multiple times, yet they continue to deny my right to cancel, forcing me to remain subscribed against my wishes. I am requesting that RingCentral immediately cancel my subscription and update their policies to ensure consumers are not subjected to these unfair and misleading renewal practices. They did not send me any type of reminder or notification that the contract was going to auto renew for 2 years. When attempting to find remediation they essentially said it is too late, the contract has auto-renewed for 2 years and in order to leave their services we would have to buy out the contract for all of the linesn an amount totaling over $900. At this point I just want to be able to leave their services and not be stuck with them for another 1.5+ years with no use of their services.I also urge the BBB to investigate this issue and hold RingCentral accountable for deceptive business conduct. Desired Resolution: Immediate cancellation of my subscription with written confirmation. Deletion of all data in relation to the account. Assurance that I will not be billed again in December 2025 for a service I no longer use.Business Response

I signed up for ring central in 11/2022 and explained what I wanted, and signed a contract.when I went to sign up for the service to have it activated, the tech *** told me their service cant do what the sales person signed me up to do. I asked for a resolve and was ignored, and turns out the original sales *** no longer worked for the company so multiple emails to Ring Central were ignored and no one got back to me in 2023. therefore i never activated or ported my service over. I requested a refund and they have no records prior to 2024. I have been pawned off to multiple people and was told I would get a refund if I sign a new contract, but then was asked to sign the new contract and now being told I will probably not get a refund. The 2 charges for refund are $796.30 and ****** for a total of =$1596.29. i will continue service and sign a new contract if they do the right thing and refund until the date of transfer from ******.Business Response

Literally the WORST company for customer service I have ever dealt with!!! There is NO live support from a real person who has any modicum of common sense or problem solving skills, seems like a super dumb AI is the one responding to concerns. Almost a month unable to send out SMS texts with this service with still no resolution! I would give a NEGATIVE 5 stars, if this site would allow me! it is costing me a LOT in business losses, due to lack of promised functionality and uncaring company who does not do what it promises.
