5 starsOverall, happy with the service. No downtime, reliable service, equipment was definitely an upgrade over the old phones my company used.Review fromGary a

1 starAfter years as loyal customers running our small contact center, I feel compelled to share our deeply disappointing experience For the majority of our relationship, call quality was decent and met our needs. However, last year marked the beginning of a steep decline. We faced persistent issues, including garbled connections, dropped calls, and poor audio quality, that significantly impacted our operations. When we reported these problems, RC representative suggested transferring to a "better" plan that would supposedly resolve our issues. Trusting their guidance, we agreed to this change. Unfortunately, the call quality problems persisted despite the plan upgrade, and multiple calls to support yielded no effective solutions. The declining service quality began to severely damage our company's reputation. We received numerous negative customer reviews specifically mentioning communication difficulties, creating a serious business problem that we couldn't ignore.Left with no viable option, we decided to cancel our service. That's when the real shock came: RingCentral informed us that cancellation would require paying out a 3-year contract. Apparently, the "better" plan our representative moved us to included an automatic 3-year renewal provisiona critical detail that was never clearly disclosed during our transition. We proceeded with cancellation as we simply couldn't continue with such poor service quality. Now, RingCentral is aggressively pursuing payment for the remaining contract term, along with questionable late fees and penalties. After researching online reviews, it appears this deceptive contracting practice isn't uncommon. Many other customers report similar experiences with hidden contract terms and aggressive collection tactics.Review fromLinda F

1 starI have had the service for 4 years and that is because I didn't know they auto renewed an existing term with a roll over into the same term; otherwise, I would have canceled services 2 years ago. My fault for not realizing that, so no big deal, BUT...The reason for the poor review is because there is no way to handle any issue without at least 3 phone calls or chats that run you around in circles, only to find that 9 times out of 10, the auto-attendant on chat will route you to the wrong person and you go through many transfers to someone who likely won't be able to help you, then you are given a case number and the person supposedly helping usually can't help with the particular issue.I had been trying to cancel 4 of 15 lines we were not using for about a year and a half, and the person helping me said they would be able to credit me for 2 months. I got a one month credit. That's when I decided to cancel service after confirming that I will not auto renew the contract. I received an email confirming no auto renew, but 3 phone calls to confirm canceled lines.I received a confirmation email to talk to someone today at 12:30pm re: a case number for cancellation, but received an email at 9:47am that my case was closed due to them not being able to get a hold of **** was provided a number to call should I need to re-open the case. I am not on hold for 25 minutes. Will try their chat as well.I believe RingCentral has deceptive practices and wear you down by making it extremely difficult to get a hold of anyone. I also believe this is a form of deceptive business practices to hold a client hostage to their monthly subscription as long as possible.Review fromPatti M

1 starSerious Concerns About RingCentrals Practices Proceed with Caution Buyer BEWARE! If I could give a rating of zero, I would. I have significant concerns regarding the business practices of RingCentral, particularly in relation to their customer service, billing transparency, and ethical conduct. After three years of subpar performancefrequent dropped calls, phones failing to ring, and consistently unhelpful supportwe chose not to renew our contract. We provided several months notice of our intent to terminate, yet RingCentrals questionable practices persisted. We were told an additional months charge of $960 USD would be billed post-contract to facilitate porting, with a clear promise of a refund by October 2024s end. It is now April 2025, and despite countless hours spent chasing this refund through emails and voicemails, RingCentral has gone silent, leaving us without resolution or recourse. Moreover, weve heard from multiple other businesses reporting similar issues, including unreturned funds owed by RingCentral. Their customer service is unresponsive, and their billing practices raise serious ethical concerns. Potential customers should be wary: the risks to your businessboth financially and operationallyare significant. We strongly advise looking elsewhere to avoid the frustration and losses weve endured.Review fromSharon Y

1 starTo whom it may concern,Our recent experience with RingCentral during the number porting process was extremely disappointing and only served to reinforce our decision to move on after nearly a decade with your company.Throughout the process, we encountered a complete lack of support and transparency. **************** was unhelpful, and no one was able to provide a clear or consistent explanation for the delays. We were given conflicting information and, at times, outright misinformation the most concerning of which was being told that a critical issue, one with the potential to cost our business hundreds of thousands of dollars per day, could not be addressed because the entire support team was out to lunch. This occurred at 3:30 PM, which only added to the absurdity of the ************ also took an unreasonable amount of time just to speak with someone. We spent hours on hold with customer service, only to be told repeatedly that no one could assist us. On one occasion, I personally spent over three and a half hours on the phone without receiving any help or resolution.Communication was poor, follow-up was nonexistent, and what we were initially told would be a 20-minute process ended up taking over a week to resolve. This level of service is unacceptable for any business, let alone one that is relied upon to manage essential communications. While were disappointed to be ending our long-standing relationship with RingCentral on such a note, we will be candid in sharing this experience with others so they can make informed decisions about their own communications providers.Review fromShane J

1 starI signed up for Ring Central because they were a recommended through my Franchisor. Unfortunately after a year long battle we were never able to get TCPR compliance so I could never text with customers. Like the reviews below suggest, cancelling is difficult. They make you call to cancel and then claim "we have no record of your cancellation request". If you cancel, request a documented email of your cancellation. I'm now having to dispute credit card charges.Review fromNICOLETA V

1 starI purchased ring central in 2020 for my business. This year in January I closed my business dues to the economical impact. I called ring central to ask to downgrade my service since i do not need 6 lines open anymore. I was told that i can't because i signed a contract. When i told them that my contract was signed in 2020 they told me that it renews authomaticaly every 2 years. I requested i copy of my contract, i have not receive it till a month later after almost every day on hold for hours to get a hold of anyone. My contract authomaticaly renewed in 2024 so now i have contract till 2026. I requested kindly to remove my autorenewal to prevent another renewal in 2026. I was told that is not possible and i have to call 30 days before the renewal. Now i have to remeber till 2026 to call them 1 month before, ridiculous. My innitial lines were 4, than i added 2 more, i never signed anything else for the extra phone lines. They will not even remove those and its imposible to even get in touch with anyone there. When i managed to actually get someone on the phone, they will not even listen to what i had to say , and according to the contract they shoul remove at list 2 lines. I would never advise anyone to get service with ring central, the service center it's a joke.Review fromSteve G

1 starI am at the end of my 2 yr contract with Ring Central. This has been a terrible experience and I would not recommend them to anyone. The first problem occeured when we expanded our service and ordered a rental phone that we ended up not needing. I was charged a $25 restocking fee that I begrudingly paid, but then Ring Central charged me for a phoen line that I didnt use and would not cancel the line. I ended up paying over $300 for this unused line through the end of my contract. Now, they are trying to charge me a restocking fee on the 4 rental phones that we have been renting for the last 2 yrs. 40 plus minutes on hold every single time I call. No help at all. Terrible customer service. Terrible business practices.Review fromadam s

1 starI purchased ring central on a one year plan, they are having issues with some of there services and customer service is terrible. If you have a system issue and want to be on hold for 40 minutes or more on a normal bases then this is for you. I can't believe the support that was recieved. I also was informed by them that I can not cancel early. They said the contract will go to the end and that this was put in the contract in fine print. They told me there would be an early termination charge that I would be charged and that charge would equal what I remaining in my time remaining. This was unbelievable to here.Review fromNick V

1 starThe base business model is getting people to sign up and make it very difficult to unsubscribe. The product itself isn't good. It periodically signs out meaning you won't receive calls from people. This makes it useless for anything but doing outbound calls. After being unsatisfied with my services, I tried to cancel my subscription online, but after jumping through all of the hoops I was told to call and talk to a representative to cancel. After an hour, I was told that I was unable to cancel. In order to cancel, I had to call exactly 30 days before my subscription renewed. 29 days was to late and 31 days was too early. If you are looking for a virtual phone provider, I would not trust this provider. They use sneaky business practices to make it difficult for customers to unsubscribe.
