    I created an *** a year ago using Legal Zoom and registered to use their registered agent service. The *** is now being dissolved and I do not require this service any longer. I did not realize this was on auto charge. I recently saw the charge on my credit card. I immediately went to the website and canceled the subscription. It said the renewal for 2026 was canceled and that the subscription was good until then. Being that the business is being dissolved, and the renewal occurred only one week ago, I contacted customer service and requested a refund for, at minimum, the prorated amount. I was informed that it is their POLICY not to provide refunds. I explained that the business is dissolving, I do not require a year of service, and had I realized there was a pending auto charge I would have canceled it. I made it clear that I did not authorize this continued service and charge. However, the company refused to terminate the service as requested and provide the necessary refund. $199 stolen from me.

    In Oct 24 I paid Legal Zoom approx $200 for two ***** and other legal documents. After inputting all data, Legal Zoom took weeks before it emailed stating revisions required in *****, but email did not provide details on required revisions. I called and legal Zoom *** went over revisions and changes were made. Weeks later another email arrived stating revisions required and again email provided no details - only a call to legal Zoom provided answers and I made changes to both *****. Last revisions made on 20 Feb 2025 and I received one will via mail (50% of contract fulfilled).On 3 March 2025 I received another email stating revisions required on remaining will and the same calling/revision process with legal Zoom *** occurred again. But this time legal Zoom required me to pay $39.90 for them to send the paper copy of will. I refused.On 6 March 2025, I spent an hour and a half talking again to legal Zoom but they would not send me the will (even though as I explained over and over; I never received the second will that I paid for in October 2025. Legal Zoom failed to meet its original obligation/contract to me and my family; would not send me the will they required revisions on numerous times that delayed the entire process, and they would not provide me a full refund.A contractual obligation appears to have no meaning to Legal Zoom.

    LegalZoom fraudulently placed charges on my card that was expired. But more importantly the business was dissolved as of 2024 and there website reflected that, But they billed me anyway. They said I needed to call them to to cancel my subscription.

    I am writing to formally file a complaint against LegalZoom regarding unauthorized recurring charges and the frustrating customer service experience I endured while trying to resolve the issue.I initially used LegalZoom to form my LLC and paid the required setup fees, including installment payments. However, I recently discovered that I was being charged $49 per month without my knowledge or consent. At no point was I properly notified that a monthly charge would begin after my initial payments were completed. I received no emails, invoices, or clear communication informing me that I had been enrolled in an ongoing subscription.When I contacted LegalZoom on March 4, 2025, to understand these charges, I was met with dismissive and unhelpful customer service. The representative repeatedly insisted that the charge was disclosed in a receiptburied in fine print rather than clearly communicated. Despite my repeated requests, they refused to issue a refund for the most recent charges, even though I had not used the service and was unaware of the subscription. Additionally, I explicitly asked to have my card removed and my case escalated to a supervisor, but my requests were ignored or delayed unnecessarily. Under the Restore Online Shoppers Confidence Act [15 U.S.C. 8403], businesses are required to provide clear disclosure of recurring charges and obtain express informed consent before billing customers. They must also offer a simple cancellation process. LegalZoom failed to uphold these legal requirements by not providing proper notification of the subscription, making it difficult to cancel, and refusing to issue a refund for unauthorized ********** a customer, I trusted ********************** to handle my business needs with integrity, but this experience has left me extremely disappointed. I request a full refund of the unauthorized charges ($49 for January and February 2025) and an acknowledgment that LegalZooms billing practices must be more transparent moving forward.

    3/3/25 $199 charged on my account. I immediately called to cancel and request a refund. No new documents were formed on my account.I have personally experienced and observed how LegalZoom manipulates consumers through deceptive business practices, particularly with its subscription and renewal policies. Like many others, I was automatically enrolled in ongoing services without clear or adequate disclosure at the time of purchase. The automatic renewal charges were processed without sufficient prior notice, leaving me unaware of the charges until they had already been deducted from my account.When I attempted to cancel the subscription, I found the process unnecessarily difficult and, in some cases, impossible through their online platform. Even after reaching out directly, I was met with resistance, and my attempts to cancel were either ignored or delayed. When I requested a refund for the unauthorized charges, LegalZoom cited rigid policies buried deep within their terms and conditions and refused to issue a refund.This lack of transparency, combined with the deliberate obstacles placed in the way of canceling subscriptions and obtaining refunds, left me feeling misled and exploited. Based on my experience and the experiences of many others, its clear that LegalZoom prioritizes profits over ethical business practices and fair treatment of its ************ new documents were added to my account so I have the right to request a refund. As soon the charges appeared on my account I called.

    I was charged $499 for ** services even though my business is inactive with the state of **. Despite this, Legal Zoom has charged me for ** services of which there is no reason to have with an INACTIVE business. When contacted, they repeatedly informed me they don't refund these charges, and then when pushed they offered a 50% refund. For what reason they insist on keeping nearly $250 for no work at all on their end is beyond me. They are h*** bent on keeping my money while not performing any services at all for me INACTIVE business. Shady shady business practices. Be warned.

    I cancelled my legalzoom subscription last year and dissolved my LLC. I woke up to a $500 charge this morning for a registered agent. They are refusing to refund me this money.

    I started a company but I stopped using the company and legal zoom took $199 without my approval I asked for a refund and they refuse too give it too me but wanted too use the same money to cancel my business the lady on the phone had no idea what I was taking bout because she barely speak English and canceled my renewal for something im not using but wont give me my refund

    We have tried to cancel with legal zoom multiple times. We were told that cancelation would occur. We have since been charged again and now being told that we will have to use them as a registered agent, for a LLC that has been dissolved already without their assistance, through the state, for the remainder of this year. The phone *** told me the cancelation would be effective immediately- online it still shows active until mid January 2026. They will not let me remove my CC info. I do not want to run into the same issue again next year and be charged another 400 that they are saying is non refundable now.

    I had filed to open an LLC with Legalzoom, for the past 3 weeks the status has been that they are getting ready to place my order but after checking the Sec of State website, ****** has already been submitted and approved. I called multiple times, and they said they were just going to refer me to some other team, there is urgency in me getting my **** and I just want my articles of organization and owner access of the **** I wish there was an email I could reach out instead of here.
